Hello handlers, and welcome to SOTF: International. Per the rules of the AU, a maximum of two characters per country in the version will be permitted - this thread will be used by both staff and handlers for planning and tracking purposes. It will be first come first serve for claiming a country, and a handler does not need to submit anything else besides a claim, with no need to finish a profile in order to stake a claim onto their nationality. No staff verification is necessary for a claim to be substantiated either - post order will be respected if multiple claims over the two character limit are made.
Please only post in this thread for the following circumstances:
- When claiming a character; please include the nation they are citizens of and residing in as of the time of kidnapping and a name - no other information is necessary for a claim. The name does not have to be final, complete, or matching the name included in the final profile, but make sure it is not intentionally a) actively misleading, or b) offensive.
- If rescinding a claim, so that other handlers with an interest in the country may work around vacancies.
Some other rules of note:
- Claims are limited to the sovereign nations of the Commonwealth of Nations - you may not claim or submit an application for any states or countries that are dependencies (e.g. Cook Islands).
- After applications have opened, if a handler stakes a claim to a country, they will be expected to stay within contact of the site during the profile writing process - this does not mean providing daily updates to staff on the status of said profile, but it does mean checking into the site every now and again. If a month has passed since the claim and no profile has been submitted, handlers will be contacted by either myself or Ohm to make sure you’re still checking up on the site and working on your profile; if a week passes and neither myself nor Ohm hear back from you, your claim will become void and you must post in the thread again with a new claim, be it the same country or a new one. When a claim becomes void, a post by either myself or Ohm will be made in this thread to declare such.
- The countries of the United Kingdom (England, Scotland, Northern Ireland, Wales) currently have a one-child cap. This will be negotiable closer to launch.
For SOTF International V1, the pool of nations that can be chosen is limited to nations of the
Commonwealth. The list below, updated regularly, will indicate which nations have already met their two character maximum, and which handlers intend to handle those characters.
