AKA. Astrid fumbles around in the basement by herself for a few posts, however i legally cant stop you if you want to join

The Recesses consist of the lower, below ground levels of The Compound. Accessing The Recesses requires passing through the upper levels of the Compound itself and down its central, spiral staircase to the depths below. The Recesses are pitch black, even during the day, and the average person will need to use a flashlight to be able to see.

The rooms on the outer edges of below ground floors of The Compound contrast heavily with the ones above ground, with each being much larger and seemingly all having distinct intended purposes. Rooms vary from obstacle courses, to shooting galleries, to operating rooms, most of which have attached observation rooms with one-way glass panels. Two notable rooms consist of one full of decrepit, 70s era computers, and another that has a coal fired generator that takes up most of the room, with an exhaust pipe leading up into the ceiling and out.

Just like the above ground floors, furniture has been clearly displaced to create cover in the hallways, but only some of the furniture of the below ground floors has been moved in this way, in contrast to the above ground floors. As a result, the majority of the furniture within The Recesses remain seemingly undisturbed, though most useful items have still been removed.

An electronic crackle rang out through the pitch-black hallways of the recesses.

"Hello again, everyone," spoke the voice of the owl-masked woman. "As you all might know, this is the last day of our little game. If more than one of you is alive at the end of today, then all of you will die. When there are only four of you left, I will come back on here and direct you all to the location of our grand finale. Enough of that for now, though. Let's get to the latest deaths. To begin, we had a few that someone missed yesterday. One was Lucine Everett, who didn't learn the lesson not to mess with the collars, and went boom just like all the others. The other, Mattie Wilkinson, got blasted by a corpse reanimated by Cecilia Moreno. As for the first real deaths of the day, our dear Astrid Millar got our day started with a double kill, with both Ana Ford and Joel Foster dying of blood loss at her hands."

The owl-masked woman coughed.

((Astrid grunted quietly.))

"Shortly after that, Anatoly Orlovsky lived up to his nature as a vampire when the light of Claudia Salgado cleansed him from the Earth. Next, Mei-ling Chou... uh... well, we didn't have great footage for what happened to her, but she wandered into the danger zone. So, yeah. Lastly, then Raymond LaSalle was beaten to death in yet another kill for Crispin-Kelley Cuyler. So that's all of the day's deaths. We were already cozy, but now there are only ten of you left, so that means we're going to have to get intimate. That means The Exterior is our latest danger zone, and you all are limited solely to the Compound and its Recesses."

A brief fanfare.

"Except for the winner of our last Most Kill Award! You all have been doing an excellent job killing each other, but we're going to be giving the award to Astrid Millar. You'll find your prize out in the Exterior, though there-"

There was an abrupt, muffled bang.

"WHO THE FUCK ARE Y-"

The speakers abruptly cut off.

Silence.

Half of Astrid's face frowned slightly.

She waited for a moment.

There was no response.

The flashlight scanned across the inside of the room, revealing there was nobody visible inside except for Jenelle's headless corpse.
