These are the passenger areas of the cruise ship, consisting of winding hallways spanning multiple floors, full of guest quarters, recreational facilities, bathrooms, and the like. Windows are many here, offering a good view of the rest of the arena, though the central location of the cruise ship means only pieces may be viewed from any given angle. The corridors connect all areas of the cruise ship and more; a number of emergency exits have been opened and ladders affixed to these points allow for entry and exit to the jetties and smaller boats nearby.

"You see the big cruise ship, away from the rest of the flotilla, near the horizon?"
Quietly, she stepped over to a big window on the far side of the room. She stared out, her eyes darting across the seascape as she tried to make out anything discernable through the flotilla's light pollution.
"I can't tell. I'm not sure," she said after a minute. "But if you're on a cruise ship, that's good. Because that means our boats probably have similar electical setups."
She closed the curtains, and stepped away from the window. Then she sat down on the side of the bed. The nightstand next to it was covered in, like, the usual nightstand stuff. There was an electrical outlet in the wall adjacent to the nightstand, embedded slightly above the ground. For easy phone charging or whatever.
"Okay. So, um, the collars run on batteries, right? Since they have to run on electricity, but they're not plugged into anything.
"And they're mostly, like, metal and stuff, so that means they're probably good conductors.
"And the announcement said that pretty soon the cruise ship is gonna be the only place anyone's allowed in. And it would be kinda shitty for them to lock us out of things we need to escape. And the cruise ship's completely, like, covered in wall plug-ins and stuff, right? So that's gotta mean something."

"Like, what I'm saying is that there's gotta be some way to, like," she quickly pantomimed someone sticking jumper cables to a car battery and then getting electrocuted, "BZZZORT the collar battery into not working, maybe using stuff to do with the ship's electrical system? But I -
"- I don't know anything about how this stuff works. I don't know anything about anything electricians do. And I don't know if you know anything about it either, but you have the internet. So.
"So.
"So what I'm trying to say is that I think I know how to break the collar. I just, I just, I need you to help me actually do it."
