Cole blinked at the unwelcome interruption. His mind snapped back into focus and in one swift movement he rolled overtop of his knapsack, grabbing the long sledgehammer as he sprang back to his feet.

The voices were back, but Cole figured that at this point, that couldn't possibly be a bad thing. His judgement so impared because of the marijuana, he couldn't screen it out. He glared at the other boy with a hard gaze.
Glancing at Xian hanging from the ceiling, he gathered that if things got hairy, she could always pull herself up onto the top of the gazebo. Her corkscrew wasn't the best of weapons at all, and as it stood, Cole figured he'd have to sort this one out by himself.
"Yeah, you just seemed to crash the party. Thanks a lot. As for your offer..." Cole frowned at the boy. "I'm going to have to decline for now, as dying just isn't on my list of things to do today."
It was at this point that Cole realized that the other boy probably assumed that neither of them were playing - a fact that he was sorely mistaken about. Cole was indeed playing, but for now - just taking a little break.

Cole had never seen this guy before, but it was soon clear that he was like the ones at his own school that Cole hated - an arrogant, pompous jock-type who believed that they were at the top of the world. Thanks to the t-shirt underneath, however, Cole only recieved a severe scratch that didn't quite draw blood. Stepping to the side, Andrew looked as the upward blow went by. Then he struck with a diagonal slash, jumping back and moving to the side afterwards. He'd have to be watchful with this one, that sledgehammer could easily crush his skull.

Cole grimaced as the machete cut into his upper left arm. The cut didn't hurt, however, as the adreniline was rushing through Cole's system. Seeing his opponent move backwards, he decided to use momentum against him - and ran forward at the other boy with the sledgehammer like a spear, hoping to catch him in the chest with the hammer end and knock him over...
Andrew's sidestep allowed him to dodge most of the thrust, but his left arm was hit, sending him to the ground with a spinning motion. After the few seconds of being knocked breathless, he rolled to the side and slashed at his enemy's feet while kicking at his chest.

Seeing the impending slash, Cole jumped vertically as high as he possibly could, managing to avoid the slash. As he came down, he aimed his sledgehammer towards Andrew's groin area, hoping to disable his opponent...

Reacting quickly, Cole brought up the hilt of the sledgehammer and managed to catch the machete in the tough wood of the hilt. The machete buried in the hilt of the sledgehammer, Cole figured that his options at this point were limited. As such, he lashed out again, this time kicking at his opponent's knee, hoping to hit the 'sweet spot' and bust it completely.
