Nope. No food, just dishes.

Suddenly Forrest felt pain at the back of his head and closed his eyes. Then he put his hand on the place where he felt the point, touching the wool of his toque and dropped sideways on his knees and later on the ground and tried to stop the pain. Forrest's hand then touched the ground, where he lay, his mouth touching and wetting the ground.

So Forrest was on the ground for a moment where he felt the pain that slowly faded away. He had no idea what was going on, neither did he realize that the weight on his back decreased.

After Forrest gained his concentration back, he moved his head to the direction of his attacker and opened his eyes to see that Jenny attacked him.

Forrest wanted to know what was happening. Maybe Jenny was mad at him, because he stared too much at her body parts while he observed her.

"I-I didn't meant to look there!"

No, the hit was way too hard for a warning. And that's not a real reason to hit somebody in this situation. There was different reason. She wanted to kill him.

Placing his hands parallel in front of his torso to protect his upper body, Forrest stood up and dashed towards Jenny, who apparently had his bag that was not on his back anymore.

And then Forrest tried to kick Jenny by moving his left foot in the direction Jenny's legs.

It didn't take long for Forrest to drop from her hit, and it didn't take Shadi long to relieve him of his bag. Pulling the zipper open, she shuffled through the bag, seeing what was inside. Aside from the usual stuff, she quickly found what she could only presume to be his weapon. Pulling out the small club, she hefted it in her hand. It was a lot smaller than her cane, but definitely a much better weapon.

Shadi barely turned when Forrest suddenly spoke up. She didn't know what he was blabbering about, but what she did see was the fact that he charged her shortly after whatever he said. She felt a sharp pain in her leg as his foot managed to find it's mark. Her face twisted in pain and anger, not even thinking twice about swinging her newly acquired weapon at Forrest's legs. She didn't have any intention of attacking him again after she had grabbed the bag, but if he was going to pick a fight over it, then she wasn't going to just roll over and let him. Using her free hand, she would grab his legs and throw her weight against him, trying to force him off his feet so she could get into a better position.

Forrest had been hit in his legs before. However now his leg hurt more than being hit with a fast soccerball, but it could've been worse, as the blow wasn't as hard as the one he got at his head. But the fact that she stole his stuff angered him even more.

However the fact that Jenny grabbed his leg did not help him to keep balance, as he the fell backwards, using his elbows to protect his head from falling on the ground. His elbows bruised and it hurt.

He needed to go out of here, back to the group. But he needed to distract her. But he needed to defeat her and get his stuff back.

So Forrest quickly pulled his blue toque of his head and threw it, aiming it at her face.

Shadi was furious. She managed to successfully get Forrest off his feet, and in a normal situation things probably would have ended there. Someone would have intervened and pulled the two apart, or something. Here and now however, there was nothing between them to stop them. Forrest through his toque at her, in itself a pathetic move, but it did serve to block her vision momentarily. She swatted the hat away, just in time to get hit square in the face by Forrest's fist.

Turning towards him, Shadi lashed out violently with the club, not particularly caring where it hit. Her only intention was to get him on the defensive so she could get a better position. Forrest wasn't giving up though, landing a good number of blows on Shadi. Adrenaline began to take hold, and Shadi seemingly shrugged off many of the hits as she climbed on top of Forrest, pinning him down.

It wasn't until this point that Shadi noticed the blood pouring out of her lip, no doubt from the hit she had taken before. Her hand holding the club lashed out, landing blow after blow on the boy beneath her, her face contorted in anger as she rained the hits on him. Forrest wasn't giving up, but as she hit him she noticed his strength fading with each attempt to fight back. He managed to get his hand in the way of one of her swings, and the club dislodged from her hand. Without even thinking, she found herself instead grabbing Forrest's head, using all her strength to raise it up and slam it into the ground, doing everything she could to make sure he wasn't going to fight back again.

Forrest managed to hit her. Over and Over again.

He could see the blood, he could see the violence. It wasn't as disgusting as a gunshot-, collar detonation- or open wound, but it probably hurt for her. However he could feel no empathy towards this girl. If he'd see anybody else getting hurt here he might feel sorry for that person, but not for Jenny. She tried to kill him and then took his stuff. Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.

And Forrest would've been happy if that girl would just go away or back up after some hits, but no. She fought back, she hit him and crawled on him. She hit him with his own club, it hurt, it probably broke something, it made him breathe faster. He regretted even attacking her. He should've played dead. Forrest tried to get her off and go away, but it felt like it was the hardest thing on earth to do. Hadn't she hit him, he might've easily done it, but the lack of power was a problem. So he had to keep on fighting. He had to win.

His arms weren't helpful blocking a club, but he had to use them to protect his more important body parts. It was not a fair fight. Not that he expected one, but he couldn't win this. She did not want to give up and if Forrest keeps laying there he'd die. So Forrest cleared his throat and prayed that his group was somewhere near. He needed them. They owe it to him for putting him in this situation.

"HELP ME YOU BASTAR"

He couldn't scream anymore, he needed to breath. Every part of his body that was involved in the fight was aching. And after some hits at his head, and more specific his jaw, he wouldn't try to make a noise besides his heavy breathing and groaning.

Forrest was angry. His arms were fucked up, he had a harder time seeing things as his eyes were blurred by his tears and his anger distracted him. He was angry at everybody. He was mad at his group for even leaving him with Jenny. He hated whoever invented this for being sent in this game. He was angry at the president that he'll never vote for even supporting this.

And most of it he was angry at Jenny. That girl didn't fight like Abe. Nor like people Forrest had competed against in the Judo workshop.
And certainly not like Bubba Dover
She fighted dirty, she fighted unfair. Maybe just like him, in soccer games. But she was doing it for herself, Forrest was doing it for the team.

After Forrest sent his fist against his club and probably broke his right hand, but disarmed Jenny, she grabbed his head. It just was wrong.

There was barely energy left. After two slams Forrest stopped counting. The slams came.

Everything hurt. Everything felt just wrong. He wasn't born to win a fight against an armed person. He had not been given his arms to block club hits. His skull wasn't there to protect his brain from hits against the ground. He was healthy in comparison to the people he met in the disabled home. However what Jenny was doing was just wrong.

It wasn't natural. Tasting irony blood was wrong, slamming people with clubs was wrong, the pain Forrest felt was wrong.

He encountered the wrong people. He joined the wrong group with Corin and Bunny. He probably went to the wrong school. He was born in the wrong country, to the wrong family.

His head felt wrong, his body felt wrong, everything was wrong.

Forrest felt wrong and he was never going to feel right again.

Sarah looked at the group that was gathering together. One of the girls looked familiar. Like she'd actually seen that person from school. So she kept watch on … Jenny. But as much as Sarah racked her brains, Familiar Girl didn't look like a Jenny. So, she followed her as FG went into one of the buildings with a guy. So, she followed, as slowly and quietly as she could. Maybe she'd find someone who actually would ally with her and speak on her level.

As she entered the restaurant, she heard a ruckus and screaming. What the hell was going on in there? Sarah took out her razor as she  crept towards the room where she heard the noise form behind a closed door. She then walked as stealthily as possible to said door, opened it, and beheld the sight of what was beyond.

"Shadi, what the hell just happened? Did a blizzard just come through here?" Now he recognized Shadi Williams. She looked like a mess, as if she had just been attacked, which to be fair was probably what happened.

Alice could close her eyes and try to think hard about being somewhere, anywhere other than curled up inside one of the cabinets lining the walls of the kitchen, but she couldn’t block out the sounds. The wet thumps of someone’s head being bashed against increasingly blood soaked tiles.

She could try but she couldn’t forget the sight of that girl hitting the boy over the head with the cane, which she had peeked through a crack in the cabinet door before slamming her eyes shut.

She could clamp her hands over her mouth to stop the whimpering, but she couldn’t stop the shaking that threatened to make too much noise and give her hiding place away.

She had tried to find a door, but either there wasn’t one or it was better hidden than she expected an exit to be. Whatever the case it had ceased to matter when the door opened and the sounds of the group outside had grown louder; at that point all she had thought about was how best to hide herself before they found her.

Luckily she had stayed close to the ground after climbing into the kitchen and whoever it was who came through the door before it closed hadn’t been able to see her past the counter. It had given her the time she needed to crawl into the nearest open cabinet and pull the door mostly closed after her, mere moments before she heard and saw large feet shuffle past.

The fact that she could see anything at all wasn’t something that she had planned or was happy about. Even as small as she was it seemed she was still too big to fit entirely inside the cabinet with the door closed; she assumed a part of her cloak or something else had gotten caught and no matter how hard she tried to pull it fully closed there was still a gap letting light in.

It was this gap that had allowed her to see what happened next. She had tried to crawl as far into her hiding place as she could – stay quiet, stay still and maybe they would just leave when they found what they wanted – but when she heard a cabinet door being pulled open she couldn’t help but jump.

If they were going through cabinets it was only a matter of time before they found her.

Against her better judgement she pressed her eye up against the gap and peeked through. There was a boy on the opposite side of the kitchen from her, with his back turned. Even so, Alice thought she could recognise him; she didn’t know his name, but the height, the build, the red jacket and blue torque, they were all things she had seen and subconsciously noticed in the hallways of her school and in the classrooms.

Seeing someone from her school, someone familiar in a sense, did nothing to reassure her. A stranger would look at her and think he harmless, they might leave her alone, but someone from her school might look at her face, her overall appearance, and some spark of memory might make them recognised her. They might remember her name.

They might realise… what she had done.

She could try to run, use the element of surprise as she burst from her hiding place to get a head start on the taller and no doubt faster boy, but how far would she really make it and where could she go?

She could try to explain herself. Anyone who recognised her from school would have to also realise she wasn’t capable of such a thing, but would they even give her the chance to explain? And even if they did, what she had done could not so easily be explained away.

She could fight... no, she could never fight.

So she watched, and she waited, and she hoped that he gave up long before he made it all the way over to her hiding place.

And then the girl appeared, almost as tall and just as strong as the boy and clubbed him over the head with a cane, making the whole issue a moot point.

Alice jumped back from the gap with a gasp, clamping her hands over her mouth. The crossbow slung across her lap clanged off the inside of the cabinet as she moved, but apparently the sound was masked as the boy hit the floor in the same moment.

She did not see what happened next, but she heard all of it quite clearly. It went on for far too long and the sounds painted a far too vivid picture in her mind; for once Alice cursed her own overactive imagination, as it was able to quite accurately portray what was happening beyond her sight.

Before too long all other sounds died away and the only thing left was the repetitive wet thumping. Mercifully that too ended and there was a kind of peace in its wake; an absence of sound that make the pounding of her heart and the heaviness of her breathing seem all the louder.

She could faintly hear the sound of the door being opened again, allowing some ambient sound to fill the restaurant again. She assumed it was the girl leaving, until she heard the voice.

"Shadi, what the hell just happened? Did a blizzard just come through here?"

No, no, please, you have to leave, you don’t know what she did.

Please leave.

By the time Shadi had stopped, Forrest had long since stopped moving. Letting go of his head, she stayed in place for a few moments, breathing heavily. It took a moment to register that she had just killed someone, and a moment after that to realize that she was happy about it. That was just how you played the game after all. If you weren't ready to kill, then chances were you were going to die for the amusement of others. She had promised herself a long time ago, back when she first started watching SoTF, that if she was ever on the show she wouldn't let herself become just another victim. It turned out that didn't seem like it was going to be a particularly hard thing to do.

Standing up, she picked up the club. Walking over to her bag, she pulled out one of the spare shirts and wiped the weapon clean. It wasn't going to do her all that much good, what with the blood staining her clothing and all, but at the very least she should probably have a clean weapon. Walking back towards Forrest, she stumbled slightly on her cane. A small smile came across her face. It had served her well to this point, but she didn't see any point in keeping it. Walking past the cane, she retrieved the extra bag, slinging it over her shoulder along with her own. She would need to transfer everything into one bag again, but first she needed to get out of there.

Shadi turned her head suddenly, hearing another voice. Shit. She didn't think that anyone else was around. The rest of the group had gone in another direction, and the place was empty when they entered. This newcomer must have entered from another door or something. She also said her name. Her real name. Finally focusing on the other person, she recognized her as someone from her own school. This was bad. As soon as her name came up on the announcements she was going to become a target from everyone in her school, but someone witnessing her current predicament was not a good thing. She could probably just get by and out of there before Sarah actually put one and one together, but then Forrest's friends would come and she would tell them who she was.

Shadi didn't even utter a word as she dropped her bags. Club in hand, she rushed at Sarah, hoping to use her size and the element of surprise to her advantage as she put all her power into swinging the weapon.

He stood at the entrance of the building that Bunny had picked, gazing at the snow covered ground as he guarded. Sometime had elapsed but it had been quiet enough for him to calm himself, he gingerly bit into a Slim Jim that he had retrieved from his pack. It tasted fine, but his mouth was uncomfortably dry. He was feeling that same dreadful emotion deep down, and as he ate he couldn’t help but think about ugly things. About the bowels and about how they just stopped holding waste in once someone died. Thinking about things he’d just found while googling, the sort of search that started with simple phrases and ended with about twenty tabs of information on the browser. It was a tangent and he hated how it was what he could think about, even when he was just trying to keep calm.

Everything seemed quiet; he didn’t even know what Saachi and Bunny were doing. If they were talking he didn’t pay attention, not to them. He kicked at the snow, scuffing his shoes as white clumps lifted and fell without importance. He’d forgotten that there would be calm moments, where nothing would happen. He didn’t care about the audience, he didn’t even think that this might bore them at home, it didn’t matter. He wondered if it was even worth it for him to stay with Bunny, she had invited each and every person she’d come across without fail. He had hated it so very much, not her, but he was growing increasingly sick of wondering if his allies would stab him in the back – perhaps if only for his rifle.

He looked briefly in the direction of the building, where he assumed the others were. Then he stepped out the door way, if either of them could or cared to listen they would hear the sounds of his brown worker boots crunching into the snow as he made his own way. The sound would stop briefly, as he looked back for a moment, wearing an expression of guilt before making his way to a different building. He thought it likely that it would be the last that they’d see or hear of him, he thought it would be fine to walk out of what they had left of their lives. He told himself not to feel awful, Bunny would be fine with allies like Jenny and Forrest after all.

Sarah looked at Shadi. She was really acting funny towards all this as Shaid approached her. Almost as if

Oh.

"Uh, Shadi, there's really no need to worry. I didn't see anything. As far as anyone knows, I was never here, so …" Sarah took a step back as Shadi swung her club. It wasn't enough. Clubs to the temple were painful. Thankfully, it was brief. As her head hit the doorframe and then the ground, Sarah only had one thought.

Saachi went along with the flow, not thinking too hardly about anything except keeping herself relatively warm. She wanted to head indoors sometime soon. She didn't like being outside. Outside was cold and she was not in the right clothes to face such adversity. She didn't want to say anything though, because she knew that would be dumb.

After a while, she went to look for Forrest. Even though she didn't personally know the guy, she was more comfortable with him than she was with anyone else in her "team" right now. After all, he was her only confirmed ally at that moment. She quickly moved around the area, not wanting to be still for too long.

While she went out looking, she heard some sounds, which she almost immediately followed. What she saw was some girl killing another girl.

Saachi couldn't run faster if she tried. She bursted off in the other direction without looking back. She wasn't going to stay here for very long.

Shadi stood alone in the room, slightly stunned at herself. She hadn't even thought twice about what she was doing. In the heat of the moment she had just killed two people. Part of her knew that she was probably supposed to feel bad about what she did, because killing was supposed to be this huge taboo thing that changed your life. She didn't feel any different though. She was just playing a game after all. The most popular game in the country. She knew the rules, they weren't exactly hard to follow. All she had to do was survive to the end, or get ten kills. She remembered last season, and she also remembered it being mentioned in the little briefing they had before they were thrown in here. Ten kills. She already had two. It didn't seem like such a far off goal.

Of course if she wanted to do that she would have to be a bit more careful about how she went about the rest of them. As she adrenaline came down, she started to feel the pain from her fight with Forrest. Her lip was still bleeding and she could feel a dull throb in her leg, but it was nothing that she couldn't fix with a few pain killers. She started to walk around the room, gathering all the leftover supplies that she could find from her first two kills. Sarah seemed to have been carrying a decent weapon with her as well, a straight razor that would work much better than anything she had found so far. A shame that she hadn't found a proper gun or anything like that yet. In due time she was bound to find one at least. She picked up the razor, folding it and slipping it into her pocket, deciding to keep the club close at hand.

She wasn't too concerned about leaving the bodies to be found. It wasn't like anyone even remotely in the area knew her real name, and by the time her name came up on the announcement and they maybe put two and two together she would be long gone. Besides, if anything she just did the other two members of her team a favour. They were that much closer to winning, since she just took out two members of opposing teams. She doubted they would ever see it like that, and Shadi knew it was a shoddy justification at best, but she didn't particularly care. She was just there to play the game.

Only 8 more kills.

Honestly, Bunny was disappointed with what she found in the kitchen. Or, to be more accurate, what she didn’t find there. She’d been hoping for knives, skewers, maybe a meat cleaver or too; essentially, sharp things to use as defence. As she’d searched through the too-clean, too-sterile kitchen, her dramatic side had kicked in, and she’d started to wonder whether this was the sort of establishment that kept a rifle behind the bar for rowdier customers.

She hadn’t found any of that. All pointy objects seemed to have been cleared out by the production crew, and given that someone had left a ‘kid’s menu’ lying around, she doubted it was the type of place to keep a gun hidden anywhere. Pretty much all that was left was a frying pan, hanging by itself on a hook. It looked lonely, so Bunny grabbed it and, after weighing the two up, replaced the scooter in her hand with it. The fucking pink scooter of doom went into her bag, which suddenly increased in weight. At least the frying pan was easier to hold and, presumably, hit people with.

The fridge held little of interest either as Bunny flung the doors open. As she’d stated, she hadn’t expected there to be anything food related inside the restaurants, yet she couldn’t help but feel mildly disappointed to find only a few random items in the fridge, most of which seemed to be covered in mold, and most of which seemed to be vegetables. Bunny wrinkled her nose in disgust. If she hadn’t been with people she knew, she’d have said goodbye to the vegan lie and taken a nice, hearty bite out of her sandwich. Lettuce and carrots could go fuck themselves. Bunny slammed the door of the fridge shut again, making the whole thing wobble slightly. She’d done pretty much the same with every cupboard and drawer in the kitchen.

All in all, she wasn’t exactly being the master of stealth.

But that was okay, because Cor and Saachi were out there looking for stuff. Cor had his gun, and Saachi... well... she had moral support, or something? Whatever, they were a three person team in the same building. If anyone tried to sneak in or attack them, then they wouldn’t get very far into their nefarious plans. Bunny wondered how far the other two had got with their search.

“Yo, Cor, Saachi! There’s pretty much nothing in here; you guys find anything?”

Silence. Bunny waited a few seconds before speaking again, slightly hesitantly.

“... Guys?”

Okay, this was more than slightly worrying. Clutching the frying pan tightly, Bunny slowly made her way out of the kitchen. The rest of the restaurant was completely empty. Forrest and Jenny had obviously gone to search that other building, but where the hell were Cor and Saachi? Hiding? Why would they do that? Had they run off somewhere? Again, same answer.

“Okay, seriously guys, whatever kinda game this is, it ain’t funny!”

Bunny waited for a few seconds, but again, there was no response. Okay. Okay, alright. This was bad. Bunny had managed to hide the fear inside of her for so long with her act of confidence, the belief that she could do this whole leadership thing, but now it had resurfaced and Bunny wasn’t sure what was going on.

She needed to stay calm and not panic, though. That was imperative. Think this through logically, Bunny. There were two groups here, right? Maybe Cor and Saachi had gone across to the other building to check out how Forrest and Jenny were doing. Yeah, that sounded like a possibility. Didn’t it? Yeah. Had to be.

Bunny strode out of the restaurant door, almost forgetting her veil of confidence. The cameras were still watching, after all. They didn’t switch off just because Bunny was scared. She walked purposefully, but the chill in the air was twice as noticeable now. She made her way to the other building and opened the door.

There was blood on the floor. It took a few moments for that to actually process in Bunny’s mind. There was blood on the floor and there were two dead bodies. One was horribly, painfully familiar. The boy she’d been talking to but minutes before was now lying dead in front of her. The other figure was a girl. Jenny? No, different clothes, different build. Who the hell was she? Where the fuck did she come from?

In her fear, her grip on the frying pan loosened, and it dropped to the floor with a loud, metallic clatter. Bunny had been frozen until then, but the noise finally managed to get her moving. She couldn’t stop herself from jumping, or from mumbling ‘Oh God...’ to the silent room. The cameras were still rolling, and although she didn’t scream or run as far as her legs could take her, Bunny couldn’t stop her fear from showing.

“Cor? Saachi? Guys, where the fuck are you?"

Alice tentatively pushed open the cabinet door, exposing more and more of the room to her. All sounds outside of her little sanctuary had died down some time ago; when the second girl had arrived there had been the sound of quick footsteps closely followed by two loud bangs – Alice tried hard not to dwell on what must have happened – followed by the sound of shuffling feet and things being moved around for a few minutes. Now everything was quiet and Alice hoped this meant that ‘Shadi’ was gone.

She crawled out of her hiding place, pushing the crossbow ahead of her as she moved on her hands and knees out of the cramped space into the relatively open space of the kitchen.

She’d made it three feet without being killed, so she assumed it was safe enough to look up from the ground. She craned her neck up and began to take a look at her surroundings now that she wasn’t in a blind panic to get out; unfortunately the first thing she saw was a body in a pool of blood and her eyes quickly found the tiles again before she could see anything else.

Two bodies in as any hours.

What had anyone done to deserve this?

“Cor? Saachi? Guys, where the fuck are you?"

Alice flinched heavily at the sudden voice, momentarily terrified that the girl had come back because she had forgot something, and to make the hat trick while she was at it, but soon realised that it was a different voice entirely she had just heard. Not that this helped her to calm down at all. A strange voice was still a strange voice.

Cor, Saachi? Were these people’s names? Was this girl looking for her friends?

Alice’s eyes crawled across the floor till they reached the edge of the pool of blood and stopped.

Was… was he one of them?

What should she do? She wanted to run but that hadn’t proven very effective earlier. She doubted a door had appeared in the past few minutes. She could hide again, but the burning sensation in her knees and back where she had been forced to curl up vetoed that idea.

That left only two options. Stand up and make herself known, or wait until this girl found her sitting next to a dead body and made the wrong assumption.

Getting her feet beneath her before slowly rising up, Alice lifted her hands above her head as she gradually became visible over the counter. She left the crossbow on the ground, assuming that appearing weapon first wasn’t the best way to make new friends.

Alice saw the girl before she saw her and was relieve to see that she had no weapon and also that she didn’t appear to be particularly tall or strong looking. She was bigger than Alice, but who wasn’t?

“…”

Alice opened her mouth to speak, but found that only a small croak escaped instead. Her throat felt unbelievably dry and her frayed nerves where not helping matters at all.

“I… I di-didn’t do it.”

Silence. Utter silence. Not a peep from either Cor or Saachi. Not a syllable of their familiar voices. Somehow, in the space of less than a day, Bunny had managed to lose every single ally she’d made so far. Forrest was lying dead on the floor in front of her, along with the strange new girl. Cor and Saachi had run off to fuck knows where. And so, for that matter, had Jenny. Bunny had only said about two sentences to her, and now she had vanished.

Seriously, just where the hell had they all run off to? And why?

It was so much warmer inside the restaurant, but Bunny felt colder than she had since waking up. There was another question that hung over her head, staring her right in the face. Who exactly had killed Forrest and the girl? Maybe it was Jenny, or Saachi, or Cor. Maybe this had all been a hit and run attempt.

Bunny knelt down to pick her frying pan back up, hand scrabbling about, fumbling the handle. If that was the case, that her erstwhile allies had been planning on murder... then Jesus, was she lucky. For whatever reason, they’d decided to leave instead of going after her. And given that all she’d had at the time was her scooter-

Movement. Attention away from the frying pan, and up to the counter. There was a girl standing behind it. A small girl, with brown hair and-wait, hang on, Bunny recognised her. At any other time, Bunny might have appreciated how odd it was for her to not instantly recognise someone from her own school, but Alice wasn’t exactly the most... social of people, to say the least. Had she been hiding behind the counter this whole time? Had she been the one to... no, that was crazy, for Alice of all people to have done something like this.

But as Alice tried to defend herself, Bunny remembered something, something from the walk over to the restaurants. The announcements. Alice’s name had been on them, hadn’t it? Bunny couldn’t remember who exactly the voice had said she had killed, but that didn’t matter right at this moment.

“Look... look, Alice...” Bunny said, a little quieter than she’d intended, as she finally managed to pick her makeshift weapon back up. Test words. Easy, simple words to get the shakes out of her voice. Get the fear out. Let the anger and facade back in.

“Look, Alice, I’d love to believe that. It’s just, y’see, my friend’s dead in front of me, and I don’t see jack shit to back your little claim up.”

Bunny had stepped forwards as she spoke, pan in hand. Maybe this wasn’t the greatest plan in the world; in fact, walking towards a known killer flew in the face of everything Bunny had learnt from watching the show. But if it gave Bunny answers... maybe it would be worth it.
