Umi turned to the sound, quickly putting her gun in a shooting position. Without making a sound, she walked down the way from the point, grabbing a few stones.
She tossed them every which way, seeing whether she would get a reaction.

Before Andrew could finish the thought, a small stone flew out of what seemed like nowhere and hit him directly in the forehead. Surprised, he fell back down into a lying position. Had he been shot? Shocked, he rubbed his head. No blood.
"Ow!!! Fuck, that HURT!"
He picked the stone up off of his shirt, and looked at it. It wasn't all that big, but it still left a little mark. Feeling upset, he tossed the stone back in the direction it came from.

As Andrew waited for any sound that his futile attempt at throwing a rock had hit anything, he heard a rustling in the bushes. Perhaps it wasn't a person, but some animal. Come to eat him. Eat him up, without giving a crap to his little situation.
But lo and behold, that wasn't the case. Looking at the girl who made her way out of the bushes, Andrew saw that she was fairly attractive. He recalled seeing her in school a few times, and remembered that before the accident, he had played her a few times in the pool tourney, but never really anywhere else.

"Geez, Andrew," she said as she progressively lifted him, "You never used to be this much dead weight."

Andrew's heart crawled from his throat back down to his chest as she put the gun down, and proceeded to help him out of the ditch. Although Andrew wasn't heavy, and actually almost a little scrawny, his legs WERE dead weight, something that he couldn't really help.
Andrew tried as best he could to help her lift him, and with much effort and trouble, she was able to lift him out of the deep ditch. Andrew nodded to her in thanks.
"You can put me down now, I'll be okay from here..."
As she did so, he grabbed the arm of his wheelchair and pulled himself into it, on a sitting position. Reaching down, he strapped his feet in, so that they wouldn't fall out. He then checked the motorized movement on the chair. He was lucky, his chair could be either controlled by the joystick near his hand, or by his arms on the wheels. Both seemed to be working.
"So...Ami..." he guessed, taking a stab at her name, "the one question that I've got to ask you...what's with the gun, and where are we?"

Finally, when she was done, Andrew had his turn to try and piece things together.

Andrew had to think for a second. Daisuke and Aiden. He tried to think about it. The name Daisuke didn't sound familiar at all, but Aiden he recalled having a couple classes with at school. He'd seemed like the nice guy, as far as he recalled. He looked back at Umi, suddenly wondering something.

A few bottles of water, some bread that looked pretty stale, his MP3 player, some paper and pencils, a deck of cards...most of it was just his regular school supplies, things he had with him on a daily basis - that is, until he got to the bottom of the bag. Inside was something he hadn't noticed before, something that was unusual. Pulling it out, he saw that it was a Mauser M1 pistol. This was fairly state of the art, and a very well-reviewed firearm. It could be quite deadly, and it was fairly compact. Andrew stared at the gun, his jaw wide.
