I've decided to take refuge over here. I don't want to say anything on Brady's page that I might regret. He's started to block people, so I figure moving over here might be good. I rather enjoy watching the Fall of Lucas.
Do you mind if I vent to you, for a moment or two?

For what it's worth, before I dive into this, I think I should make it clear that I voted for Alison. I believed she was the best candidate for the job, and though I'm not pleased at all with Nathan's victory, I think I have bigger things to concern myself with.

Brady has always been the weakest of the bunch by far, though. From stumbles in his speech to mishaps like this, his entire campaign has been a weak effort to set himself apart from the pack. The fact is that he has nothing going for him. His repetition of the point that Nathan doesn't have enough experience with the government is meaningless in a Post-Canon society. It's upsetting to me that he hasn't learned to know better, in the past year. The only thing that he's done tonight is make his campaign look bad in retrospect. There's a good reason that winners get to write the history books. This is what it looks like when the sore and defeated get a chance to voice their opinion. They only make themselves look worse, and bring down those around them. Instead of nursing their wounds and preparing for the next bout, they stand back up and get knocked back down harder than before.
This is identity politics on a micro level, the ultimate in "Us vs. Them" thinking. Lucas is a wounded animal, backed up into a corner of his own design. He squeals and mewls, and draws people to his corner, only to interpret this people as backing him into that very same place that he chose. This is where individualistic thinking goesthis is its logical, egotistical end.
