Song Contest #50: The Much-Memed Weebtest

On the ground were rivers that ran as red as the sunset, and all around me were screams and the thundering of people running for the inner walls. A rain of rubble and bullets splashed on the ground, as the dual-wielding katana ninjas descended from what was left of the outermost wall.

I was huddled behind the bar counter, shivering- but the footsteps passed me by, and I heard the door close. Peeking up, the only other patrons here were corpses. I knew I had to get out, but how? We were surrounded. As I got up, a heard a great crash.

Rushing to the window, I gazed outside, and I saw a giant's hand crunch down on a portion of the wall, as if it were cardboard. Against all logic and reason, my eyes went upwards.

For a moment, I was staring into Hatsune Miku's wide, pitiless eyes.

I ran out of there as fast as my feet could take me, and the only reason I didn't get a katana through the abdomen to show for it was my claim that there were "heretical followers of the wrong waifu" back at the bar. I may have reached a shelter, but our battle is far from over - dear lord have mercy on us all.

The weebs are coming.

Songtest 50: The Dreaded Weebtest

Greetings valued subjects, it is I, Blizzard, here to inflict weeb hell on y'all.

In tribute to your new glorious tyrant, bring her

- Anime themes!

- Songs about anime!

- Vocaloid Songs (vocaloid covers of other songs count if they fall under one of the other categories)!

- J-Pop!

- If it's from Japan and can be the BGM of anime girls dancing and/or is popular with anime/manga fans, it probably counts!

I'm not gonna be super picky tbh, it's all in good fun, but try to stick to the spirit of the theme.

- Send in your songs via board PM or Discord

- Songs will be divided into 1-3 semifinals, probably 2, if you can't be here for the first semifinal please contact me and I will put your song in the next round!

- Listen to every song in your round and give them votes, 12 for your favourite, 10 for your next favourite, then 8 for the third, 7 for the fourth, and so until you give 1 point to your tenth favourite. Not voting will result in your song getting DQ'd! Rounds last for 3 or more days.

- You can still vote if you're not in a round, as a public vote, which counts for half the points.

- The top songs move onto the finals, with the number depending on the number of songs in a round.

- Repeat the voting process with the finals, and that's how we'll determine the ultimate winner of the tournament arc.

- Submit your songs before the first round starts, not gonna let people jump in after the first round starts, etc.

- Whoever gets the most points will get to host the next contest. If they pass, it goes to second place, then third, and so on.

- General songtest rules:
- Nothing from Eurovision, no reality show covers (other covers are fine), nothing that has been submitted before. If your song is over ten minutes people only have to listen to the first ten minutes.
- Please be nice in chat.

I'll be doing my own votes before the round starts. I'll be giving reminders about every day. Extensions are probably not a thing unless you suffer severe RL stuff, like health issues or getting abducted by aliens.

I reserve the right to add anything blazingly obvious that I forgot.

Signups and song submissions will last until 6 PM on Wednesday January the 8th, 2020 (dear god it's 2020). If you have a * by your name it means you have yet to submit a song.
