Somewhere in the limbo between worlds, there was the New Death, who took a trip with the ferryman Charon through a large river. A river full of departed souls. The New Death can sense that this river is of those who were forcibly departed with unfinished business. Still adjusting to his new role, the New Death made a deal with the ferryman Charon. Charon says that the New Death is allowed to bring back to life one soul from the river, but under certain circumstances. The New Death must use a fishing rod with fishing line that was vine. Attached to the hook was a worm that was responsible for consuming the bodies of those who had passed beyond.

The New Death tossed the hook and let it fall in the river. The moment he felt a tug at the vine, he reeled up the one who's mouth was caught in the fishhook. A battered and bruised body of a young woman who was tossed into an ocean from a world unlike no other.

Charon was pleased at the New Death for his efforts and was willing to share a little secret about another soul. A soul who was a warrior forced onto frigid lands and killed off by a new invasive species. Taking advantage of the out-of-order part of time, he has cheated death and ended up in a new role.

The New Death wanted to know more.

When SOTF-TV takes him, the culinary artist becomes a hunger artist, when he hates the taste of what he is given. With a new twisted imagination, the viewers back at home are going to lose their appetites.

He is an extortionist who keeps his wealth away from others and pillages what he sees as the hottest commodity. Human organs. Already with a bounty for his severed head, Quentin will make a wish to the President that will reduce what is left of America into a new genocide for a profit.
- Sloth - Terrence Og (ALIVE) - DOTF V2 character. The world passes him by without a second thought, until it stopped and saw what his neglect has done to an innocent child. Far from home now, all Terrence wants to do is let others do all the dirty stuff, but how close is karma when a pit full of snakes awaits him.
- Pride - ??? (ALIVE). "I want to have you pause here and ask you a question. What are you willing to do to make sure that you will live forever? Be forever in replays and re-runs until the heat death of the universe. Get rid of all of that is holding you back. The whole world will know you as my victim."
- Wrath - ?? (ALIVE) - An AU character. He was born physically and mentally flawed, while the rest of the world benefitted with their own abilities that were nothing like his own. Life has dealt him an unfair bad hand and he wants to make those who have the weak suffer pay. The problem is how much bad is he willing to do to rid the world of the elite?

- Heresy - Emil Vholes (ALIVE) - DOTF V2 character. He lives as a parasite, making lives miserable and sowing discord and misery with his presence. When SOTF happens, he lets a massacre benefit him. It isn't long, until the sins that he refuses to take account for to return, but what will he do, even when the world now wants him to burn as the heretic he is?
- Violence - Nancy Carlson (ALIVE) - DOTF V2 character. She had no one to turn to. Her fairytale life that was a lie finally collapsed. All of her hope was gone. Until from the depths of Tehom did an entity come to take advantage of her torment. Now, Nancy will finally be happy and have her hopes and dreams come true in delusion... with a blood trail behind her.

Pippi:

BB is a potential friend for Pippi. She's also a little eccentric (though in a different way), also pretty smart (again in a different way), and progressive enough to think the strip club/polyamory stuff in Pippi's family is pretty neat. Possibly they're both in the GSA together. Also a math nerd.

Juliette almost certainly knows Pippi, and is probably the long-suffering council member who helps pick up the slack when she neglects her treasurer duties. Nice to her in spite of this, probably frames it gently and constructively though is sometimes seething internally while doing so. Calms down about it pretty quick, but does wish she'd take it more seriously.

Sofia probably mostly finds Pippi confusing. Respects that she blazes her own path, but doesn't understand it.

Chevy:

BB maybe is the sort to argue with him about movies at some point or another. Film isn't really her medium, but if it was she'd be more into arthouse stuff, and that's good enough to debate over. She's never seen The Last Jedi but it's her favorite Star Wars movie because the critical consensus is that it's the weird one.

Juliette is nice to him when their paths cross, but she doesn't care about paintball or Star Wars even a little. If he talks at her about them, though, she'll pretend she does to be polite.

Sofia knows a bit about actual guns. She likes Westerns, and Star Wars is adjacent to that kinda sorta, but she's not a huge fan, and also she's sort of weird. Maybe they've crossed paths a time or two, likely not super close though.

Few ideas for you to consider!
[+] Pippi
  • Student council friends with Faith is sort of a possibility. Sort of because I can't imagine Pippi is the most comfortable with Faith's politics, and Faith in turn has to deal with Pippi being a slacker who makes her have to do extra work. Something similar to Juliette, but Juliette would be more quiet about it while Faith wouldn't be afraid to gently shit talk Pippi to her face. She's not especially antagonistic, but she won't coddle Pippi either. So I'm seeing something along the lines of uncomfortable acquaintances as student council members who both have reasons to generally not be the most on pleasant terms with another.

    Also at some point the lot of us with student council kids: you, me, MurderWeasel, not sure if any others right now, we should probably try to figure out who has what positions just for the sake of consistency if its ever brought up in game.
  • Through Prim's Violet, who I'm told is supposed to be a friend of Pippi's and appear in a spooky thread with her at some point during pregame, Princess would also be a friend of some description. I don't know the details here entierly but any friend of Violet's is a friend of Princess. It may be that Princess leans on Pippi a bit as a friendly face during her rare outings into the GSA, she'd most likely need the help to not be totally stiff and awkward among other queer folks.
[+] Chevy
  • Faith might be a fairly faithful part of the paintball squad. I figure she'd pick up the interest fairly quickly if he ever brought it up during a class. Given her existing skillset she'd probably be one of the better people on his team too. We could do an interesting thing here where we sort of reference to Chevy's potential future as foretold by his tenture in SOTF: U, Faith might occasionally point out he has a good head for leadership in combat situations and also introduce him to her history and millitary interests.

    Also open to them being a couple? It's just an inkling but I think bash buddies going out shooting on the regular has the room to go somewhere, but I'd want to mull that one over more.

Okay, Neil Cicierega, gosh.

So I pinged you in chat about this some time ago, but was barely awake and forgot to reply to you. So I'll post this here, lol. My idea is that Bella and Chevy have this odd friendship where she brought up Star Wars in like, film class or something, and then she had to sit through this impassioned speech about Star Wars and how bad the sequel trilogy was while smiling and nodding politely because she had no idea what he was ranting about. But then they bonded over action movies. I think you also mentioned Bella being a possible love interest for Chevy?

Other than that, though, Chevy might also know Junko. Junko's thing is track, rollerblading, and parkour, but I can see Junko being kinda 'cool' at paintballing, not sure if she'd do it a whole lot. While she's athletic, she's also geeky and likes animation (both Western and Eastern), comic books, and games, which there is some overlap with action movies. She might set off his sequel rants on purpose as a way of trolling, but it'd be more the lighthearted kind of trolling that friends or friendly acquaintances do than anything purposely mean-spirited.

Bella and Junko are both sapphic (Bella is bi, Junko is pan and also has lesbian parents) so there's a chance Pippi might know one or both from GSA stuff!

She sacrificed her humanity, after she became an undead beast in the care of another monstrous beast. She won the game, but she lost her wife in the process. Hope still blossoms to her after she was brought back to life.

- Chevy Gallagher - (University Guy who wants to be hip with them kids. The Art of War and balls of paint isn't going to save you, when your life is on the line.) He wanted to do the right thing, but he was caught among a burning bridge and became a victim to an invasive species.
- Nicholas Rothstein - (A DOTF boy, who knows how to get very weird and become a 13-eyed monster.) He didn't go to the Backrooms, but he got lucky that gravity was merciful on him. By impalement.
- Scott Bee - (Another DOTF boy, who I just made in one day and killed off.) He couldn't take the heat and he might never be heard from again.
- Mitch Cline - (Also another DOTF boy who was dating Scott Bee.) Mitch Cline would get front row seats to a volcano eruption and got his head ripped off post-modern.

A collection of planned and current villain characters, whom crimes and atrocities will take those into the darkest reaches of what humanity might find. Beware.

- Gluttony - ??? (ALIVE) - Planned for TV4. He wanted to become famous in his own way. He spent his craft, making delicacies and allowing others to enjoy his creations. When SOTF-TV takes him, the culinary artist becomes a hunger artist, when he hates the taste of what he is given. With a new twisted imagination, the viewers back at home are going to lose their appetites.

- Greed - Quentin Coyle (ALIVE) - Survival of the Fastest character. In a world that has gone through horrors from nuclear war, one man and his troupe drives on the wasteland. He is an extortionist who keeps his wealth away from others and pillages what he sees as the hottest commodity. Human organs. Already with a bounty for his severed head, Quentin will make a wish to the President that will reduce what is left of America into a new genocide for a profit.
- Sloth - Terrence Og (ALIVE) - DOTF V2 character. The world passes him by without a second thought, until it stopped and saw what his neglect has done to an innocent child. Far from home now, all Terrence wants to do is let others do all the dirty stuff, but how close is karma when a pit full of snakes awaits him.
- Pride - ??? (ALIVE). "I want to have you pause here and ask you a question. What are you willing to do to make sure that you will live forever? Be forever in replays and re-runs until the heat death of the universe. Get rid of all of that is holding you back. The whole world will know you as my victim."
- Wrath - ?? (ALIVE) - An AU character. He was born physically and mentally flawed, while the rest of the world benefitted with their own abilities that were nothing like his own. Life has dealt him an unfair bad hand and he wants to make those who have the weak suffer pay. The problem is how much bad is he willing to do to rid the world of the elite?

- Heresy - Emil Vholes (ALIVE) - DOTF V2 character. He lives as a parasite, making lives miserable and sowing discord and misery with his presence. When SOTF happens, he lets a massacre benefit him. It isn't long, until the sins that he refuses to take account for to return, but what will he do, even when the world now wants him to burn as the heretic he is?
- Violence - Nancy Carlson (ALIVE) - DOTF V2 character. She had no one to turn to. Her fairytale life that was a lie finally collapsed. All of her hope was gone. Until from the depths of Tehom did an entity come to take advantage of her torment. Now, Nancy will finally be happy and have her hopes and dreams come true in delusion... with a blood trail behind her.
