Physical Description: Zeke stands at 6’3” and weighs 211 lbs. He is physically fit through regular exercise and gym usage, his body showing clear muscular definition, particularly in his upper body, but also in his legs. His skin is fair, and he is primarily of German-American heritage. He has blue eyes and long golden blonde hair which reaches his shoulders, as well as a slightly darker beard.
He usually dresses in a fairly casual style, often preferring outdoor wear. On the day of the trip, Zeke was wearing a moss-toned utility jacket with a dark sherpa lining, a pair of dark blue hiking pants, a gray t-shirt, and a pair of brown boots.
Background:
- Zeke was born in Gig Harbor, Washington, to Andrew and Olivia Brandt. Raised by the two of them, he came from an upper middle class background, his father working as a pilot and his mother working in accounting.
- Due to the nature of his father’s work, Zeke did not get to see Andrew as often as he might have wanted to when he was young. However, when he was available, Andrew would often take his son out on camping trips. Zeke’s relationship to these trips fluctuated through the years. When he was about elementary school age he was often enchanted by them, but come middle school he grew disillusioned with the trips. However, partway through high school, he would rediscover a love of the outdoors, to the point of eventually seeking out such trips even without the company of his father. He continues to go on hiking trips with friends to the present day.
- Zeke displayed outgoing behavior among his peers from an early age, and found it easy to make friends, though he had more difficulty with managing schoolwork, maintaining only mediocre grades through high school, mostly receiving Cs.
- In high school, Zeke took part in track and cross country, and though he would not pursue these sports beyond the highschool level, he maintained a healthy workout schedule.
- Zeke’s interest in religion as a field of study has its origins in high school, where he took an elective course in world religions. With both of his parents being infrequently practicing Christians, he was not brought up in a particularly religious household, but still found he took to the material. As he studied, he grew more interested in the practices of spirituality across cultures. His parents found the interest surprising, and a bit odd, which they did make clear to him in some talks, though they were happy to support his interest.
- After graduating high school, Zeke enrolled at the University of Cascadia. He received no scholarship to attend. Though upon enrollment he had no immediate field of study, within only a few months of courses starting, he made the decision to continue with his interest in spirituality and pursue a degree in religion.

Assets: Zeke is physically fit and experienced in spending time outdoors, which should benefit him in a survival situation. He is also quite amicable, making him able to present himself in a non-threatening manner as well as making allies where necessary. He is also disinclined towards direct arguments or conflict, meaning he will not unnecessarily escalate stressful situations.
Limitations: Zeke can be very stubborn when convinced of his rightness, difficult to move once he is convinced of the rightness of a position. He is also a committed pacifist and will refuse to escalate to physical violence under most any circumstances.
