Michael sank his teeth into the Slim Jim and tore away a piece. It wasn't the type of thing he ate back home. He didn't like it. He swallowed, and tried not to look at the bodies.
Michael hadn't entered a corpse-free building since he saw the boy get killed, so he wasn't really shocked when the team entered the casino to find the messy aftermath of a of gun fight. Being in close proximity to dead bodies didn't bother him as much anymore, thank God. He didn't want a repeat of his panic in the tower, especially not when he was with teammates who expected him to be reliable.
They had lost Norma, and worse, they had lost Norma's spear. They looked around for a bit after she wandered off, but Michael discouraged the team from splitting up and searching further. Michael didn't want it to end up like the search for Valerie. He wasn't going to do anything that would run the risk of losing more of his teammates. Not after he had finally found them. So they didn't find her, and the only weapon they had left was Lukas' pistol.
"We, uh, really need to have the gun out now. If we run into to someone right now, we could... well-"
Michael waved the Slim Jim in the direction of the bodies.
"-end up like that."
He took another bite.

The casino looked like a good place to crash for a while, didn't look like anybody else was around, seemed like a good idea at first, then we actually went in.
Bunch of corpses were there, looked like a gunfight had occurred, Zoe didn't recognize any of them.
Probably from the other school, luckily it doesn't look like whoever won that fight is still around.
Michael was talking about keeping the gun out, saying we could end up like the dead guys across the room. "Can't agree more, at this point we've got no choice."
We should have kept it out from the start, with Norma off somewhere else, we can't make anymore mistakes.

((Lukas Graves continued from United))
Since Lukas left the condos with the rest of the group, things hadn't exactly been all smiles and sunshine. The blonde, whose name turned out to be Norma-Jean, as he learned at some point during their trek, had struck out on her own. Lukas wasn't really sure why she did so, but he thought that the fact that he started ranting about SOTF at her within five minutes of meeting her might have had something to do with it.
Well, even if that was the case, there wasn't anything that he could do about it now.
He followed Zoe and Michael, the short kid, into the casino. Of course, it had recently gained some new decorations in the form of corpses and blood. Nothing that Lukas was surprised by. And to be honest, the fact that it didn't surprise him scared him a little. He still hated their situation, but his desensitized reaction to finding a room full of fresh corpses really bothered him.
Damn those producers. Every last one of them.
Michael and Zoe seemed to simultaneously come to the conclusion that they needed Lukas' gun to be at the ready in case they ran into any trouble. Lukas, despite his desire to remain pacifistic, had to agree. He still had no plans on actually using his gun, but having it out as an intimidation tactic technically wasn't using it. He took a few moments to pull it out of his bag and held it up to signal that he had retrieved it. His facial expression clearly showed that he was none too happy about their situation.
"All right, it's out. What's next on the agenda?"

Michael smiled and nodded at Lukas. He was relieved that they'd been able to agree on that so easily. The last thing they needed was more friction.
"This seems like a nice place to hole up. Well, I mean..." Michael glanced back at the bodies "...it seems safe, relatively. Moving around too much probably isn't a good idea. You've already seen that it's not hard to lose people when you're wandering around. And, uh, I think I've had enough of the cold for now."
Michael looked over the casino. It was a weird place, as far as decoration went. He wondered if they could find anything useful lying around.

"Get some sleep and find Norma."
Hopefully she's doing as fine now, still why'd she wander off like that anyway? Did Lukas piss her off that bad? Whatever the reason we still gotta find her, Safety in numbers and all that shit.
Lukas agreed to keep the gun out, after losing our only other weapon he hasn't got a choice.
As good as that going to do us, neither Me or Michael know how to use it, and it sounds like Lukas still isn't going to use it. "By the way, you got a manual with that gun right, mind if I read it?" Might as well figure how that thing works, just in case.

There didn't seem to be anything in the casino aside from the usual games. Well, it wasn't like the producers were going to leave weapons lying around. Zoe asked to see the manual, a good idea.
"Yeah, it'd be useful for all of us to know how to use it. It couldn't hurt, anyway."
Michael hoped Lukas would use the gun when the time came, but it was good to have a backup plan in case he didn't.

While waiting for Lukas's answer, Zoe was looking over at the bodies.
I wonder if whoever won that took everything, could still be something useful in their packs.
"Lukas, Michael, I've been thinking of checking over there and see if we can find useful, what do you two think?"
Better to look around than wait for a manual.

His gun. Zoe wanted his gun. Well, the manual for it, but it still seemed suspicious.
She was planning ahead in case he died, and her answer was violence. He didn't like this at all.
When Zoe mentioned looking for supplies, Lukas saw his opportunity.
"Sure, be right back."

"There doesn't seem to be anything around here, but you're free to look."
Lukas suddenly left with the gun, saying that he'd be right back. Michael stared at the exit for a moment before looking back to Zoe.
"Did he just...?"

Didn't look like either of them were gonna look, Michael seemed skeptical that anything was left. "Better safe than sorry."
Lukas left suddenly, said he'll be right back, Michael was asking about it.
"He did, looks like he didn't trust us after all. "He got suspicious over the gun, thought I got enough of his trust to get away with it, damn it. "First Norma gets lost and now he's walking away with our only useful weapon, this day is just getting worse and worse."
Fuck this, I'm getting out of here.
"Michael, I'm leaving this place, come along if you want or do whatever."
Better be some weapons out there.
Zoe walked out of the Casino and went in the direction of the Bamboo Boardwalk.

((OOC: Note; Me, Polybius, and the staff team did a thing and I’m controlling Michael from now on, just so you know))
Then Zoe left as well. Michael was alone in a room full of corpses. Before he left and joined Zoe, he decided to check the corpses to see if there was anything that he could use. He had grown desensitised to the appearance and smell of corpses at that point, but the fact that some of these corpses used to be people he knew, people he was acquainted with, unsettled him and made him weary of checking the corpses at a close distance.
When he found nothing, he considered his chances for the first time since he found his team. He didn’t want to die, nor did he want to kill anybody, so the only way he could get off here without doing that was sticking with his team, which hadn’t gone exactly well so far.
Lukas had suddenly decided to leave the team; the girl with the spear got pissed off at Lukas and left as well. They hadn’t met the fifth member yet, and Zoe was going to leave him as well if he didn’t do anything about it.
He knew what he had to do now to survive, and he was going to act on it.
“Hey, Zoe, wait up!”
Michael rushed out of the Casino and went in the direction of the bamboo boardwalk.
