Commander, the aliens continue to make progress on the Avatar project. There is only one way we can stop this and free Earth or something, I dunno much about XCOM lore

We must amass an army of highschoolers or college students or whatever who were previously in a Battle Royale style roleplay and send them to war, this is a legitimate strategy, why are you looking at me like that Commander

So, if you'll recall, like a year or two ago I asked people if they wanted me to make their characters and put them in XCOM 2 to die brutally have many heroic adventures and moments! I got a good few responses but uh, I never actually got around to doing it. Big L on my part. Now, however, I do actually want to do it now that I've got the whole summer to sit in my mancave and game. I'll probably throw a thread like this up on Main as well soon enough, but first I wanna gauge engagement.

So first, some ground rules!

For now, two-character cap. Depending on how poorly I do this may be increased or even lifted, or I'll maybe allow people with a dead character to submit a new one in the dead one's place, but for now I'm just gonna stick with the two so it's a little more manageable for me.

No Battle Royale characters. Unless I am entirely unaware, nobody here is Koushun Takami and thusly the BRAU characters are not owned by anyone here. Feel free to let me know if someone's secretly a 54 year old Japanese author, though.

No save-scumming. I am notoriously bad for doing this, and I'm not going to learn anything and there'll be no stakes if I hit that ALT-F4 every time someone gets hurt. Saying that, I probably won't be playing Ironman, as I'd like to have a few saves just in case things go wrong.

If you're sending in a DOTF kid or a kid from somewhere that doesn't have a readily accessible appearance, either DM it to me on Discord or put it here. I wanna try and make the best approximation of the kids as I can even with XCOM's somewhat lacking customisation options.

I'll try to stream this once every weekend at the minimum, maybe with a midweek stream if I can get enough people. For those who miss the streams, I'll try and type up a little report or debrief document so you guys can keep up with things. We'll be going either until I win or until I lose. losing is the most likely option but I have hopes

"Nicholas Rothstein stands at the height of 5'9 with a lanky body of 160lbs. He has Caucasian skin and a visible beauty mole on his cheek. His natural short and wavy hair is originally black, however Nicholas took the liberty of dyeing it to a bright silver. Nicholas prefers to have the sides of his hair parted away from the center, so his forehead can be exposed. This is due to his interest in showcasing his homemade tattoos, where a large eye tattoo can be found on his forehead, which he can easily hide with his frontal curls. His actual eyes also suffer from heterochromia with his left eye being blue, while his right eye is brown. He also has ten small additional eye tattoos that he has on his fingertips.

Nicholas prefers to dress in any clothing that emphasizes the aesthetic of "weirdcore". Anything flashy and that has eyeballs is his fashion taste. On the day of his abduction, he was wearing a black t-shirt with the words "False Reality" multiple times in magenta coloring, which includes a melting smiley face in black and white. Including that, he wore a pair of blue demin jeans that were ripped up from years of use, along with a pair of Converse red sneakers."
