Electricty cascaded through the air, drowning out the sky, an awe-inspiring display. The power of it was indescribable. But it wasn't violent or dangerous; there was compassion within the storm. He let it engulf him, unafraid.

The kinds of bonds he'd formed this way were unique and special. Something entirely for him and those he shared this with. Maybe other people wouldn't get it, but then they didn't need to get it. The folks who mattered understood.

She was watching a movie in a bedroom adorned with fairy lights. That cute boy was with her, though it wasn't really him, of course. Once she realized he was there, it wasn't even a question of whether he could join in or not.

He hoped she knew how much it meant to him.
