Kurt Thorne

-Might lose the e in Thorne, haven't decided yet
-Straight, white male
-Relatively right-winged worldview, somewhat militant and very rigid
-Probably pissed a lot of people off, probably isn't very popular

E.J. Wells

-Female, straight, haven't decided on ethnicity yet
-That's all I've got, I can't find my planning document goddammit
-She's a pretty cool person

Yo cactus man. You got a maybe closeted right winger. Leslie is a closeted gay adjacent right winger. They probably wouldn't hate each other, or they could in a hate others for what you hate about yourself kinda way. I'm down with either but lemme know because I wanna try and work something out. Don't worry about Tay leeching onto him because she would probably know better to stay away so consider yourself safe for now.

Mystery girl remains mysterious but obvs I am always down for most anything.

Alright, so let us spruce this up; my kids are going to need at least an attempt at some preexisting relationships that I don't make up in-game.

Kurt Thorne:

-Fairly introverted soccer player
-Polite, well-mannered, comes off as fairly stolid and very serious
-LOVES Halloween to the point where he's well-known for the effort he puts into his costumes which is very much a contrast with how serious he is all of the time
-Despises SOTF-TV and all that it stands for, looks at it as amoral, very strong critic of the show
-Comes from a military family and so is very regimented and strict. Has aspirations to be in the navy like his folks.
-Very loyal to the few people whom actually manage to become close with him

Zach Harlow (still in the queue):

-Member of the school band (plays the saxophone/piano) as well as drama and school plays (usually tries to play supporting weird and wacky roles)
-Can be aloof, disinterested and tough to talk to unless something he's interested comes up, at which time he becomes very interested and invigorated in conversation
-Socially apt but a lot of the time just seems not to care
-Tons of acquaintances but very few actual friends
-Seems a bit of a space cadet at times but really just spends a lot of time in his own head
-Really interested in SOTF-TV, fascinated by it and loves to chatter on about it.
-Kind of an odd duck.

Anthony and Kurt would be pretty good friends I wager, based on the fact that they both share an interest in soccer, although Anthony is more of an enthusiastic spectator than a player. They also share a heavy dislike of SOTF based on morals. I imagine they got talking at first because of their shared interest in football, and then when the discussion came to SOTF they discovered a mutual dislike of the show.

For Zach, I think him and Gregory would be friends, or at least acquaintances. They both like SOTF, and seeing as they're in the same year Greg has probably given him a jar of honey at some point. They don't share too many interests otherwise, so I imagine they're probably not too close. Small talk about the latest SOTF season, maybe about how the latest play is going.

For Kurt:

Seth: Don't see these two interacting as much aside from faint recognition due to their vastly different interests and circles.

Leo: As a fellow soccer player, I'm sure that Leo gets along with Kurt as he too is polite to a fault in public and tries to get along with people. Leo also dislikes SOTF-TV for moral reasons so that can be another point of bonding.


For Zach:

Seth: Outside of their shared interest in SOTF - although in Seth's case it's more behind the scenes stuff - I don't see these two interacting so much.

Leo: I can see Leo try to reach out to Zach considering how introverted he comes across and the two could talk about aesthetical beauty (with Leo being a photographer having an eye for such a thing), but them not being agreeable with each other when it comes to SOTF-TV, as Leo is fervently against it.

I don't see Britnee interacting with either of your kids much, nor do I see Matias interacting with Zach a lot.

What really interests me is how Kurt gets along with Matias (or doesn't). They're both soccer kids. I think Matias would admire how seriously he takes soccer, and find some kinship with him there, but Kurt's intensity would probably be offputting to him. Also Matias is a casual fan of SOTF and Kurt isn't, but I don't think that should be a point of conflict, Matias would be willing to avoid engaging with that topic if he needs to.

My main thing is that Matias was a hard-ass and kind of a pain to deal with during his first few years on the Mangrove soccer team, especially following around the time of Emmy's departure, so I could see Kurt being sick of him after that time. But I don't think Matias would've betrayed Kurt necessarily, he'd just be very volatile and easy to anger around that time. But if they stay friends, then Matias would regard him quite loyally.

Whether or not they're friends or enemies, it'll probably be with a degree of intensity, especially due to Kurt's loyalty and his demeanor and how it can either gel or clash with Matias, depending on the circumstance.
