Cassidy Kant continued from here

She saw a big peachy blur. It slowly came to focus. Like it was rising up under disturbed water. It soon became recognizable as a face.

Two white ovals, each with a brilliant blue circle in the middle, stared at her. They were kind, relaxed, and seemed to promise to watch her forever. Thin, light arches floated just above the ovals, rising and falling ever so slightly.

The cheeks curved down narrowly, leading to a beaming smile that was spread out as big as it could. An amused and enchanted giggle just beginning to escape it.

While Cassidy could not consciously identify the face, her instinct told her it was one of familiarity.

Cassidy suddenly remembered to breathe. She inhaled and blinked twice.
