It's Not a Party, It's an Intimate Get Together

It's finally Paige's turn. All the years she had begged her parents to drive her to other people's houses for parties, all the time she had to put up with commenting on how other people's parties ruled or sucked, all the time she bumped and grinded against dudes invited by her friends, and all the time she risked knocking over someone's tchotchkes, now she was going to be the daredevil. She was going to invite people to her house and have the kickass party, and she was going to assume the responsibility.

She had to beg her parents to let her throw the party. She had to assure them that she would clean it up and that there would be no alcohol. She also had to promise that if they gave her money to throw the party, then she wouldn't be able to ask for anything expensive for her birthday. They didn't agree to staying away for the evening though, so Paige had to compromise having them stay upstairs while the party occurred downstairs.

Paige had prepared everything. She spent the last several days anticipating the party, so she went to work getting all the necessary materials. She bought a ton of chips and sandwich platters, even going out of her way to get some cake and cookies. She got several different types of soda and several coolers of ice to chill the soda in. She also downloaded as much party music as she could and set her iHome up to play all the coolest music during the party.

It was twenty minutes before P-Day, and Paige had everything ready. The food was set out, the drinks were chilling, the music was playing, and her parents were upstairs.

Alright, let them come. I am ready.
