TOTES COOL AND ALL THOSE JAMS! WITH BEAU AND HANNAH!
((Beau Lively continued from We're Back In The Swamp))
"Woooaah!"
Beau had never been on a houseboat before and it would have been more cooler looking if it wasn't a bit of a mess. There was a shattered window and it was kinda a bummer that someone had taken it out like that. What is with people and destroying glass? What the fucky fuck did glass ever do to anyone? Actually, that made him think back to when he and Al was kids and Al dared him to touch a pointed shard of a glass cup. He had cheerfully obliged and he sliced open the tip of his index finger. Stupid Al. That was a jerk move. But ANYWAY....
Beau was moving around on the inside and he was eager to explore. He had to keep in mind that he had no weapon to defend himself with and he was kinda missing his spoon. Throwing it at Gabriella had been a mistake and maybe he could go back for it at some point. Maybe it wasn't the smartest move, but maybe he could use the spoon for other things. He still needed to look around for something useful for the time being.
He definitely thought that all of this sucked so much.
"Hey, Hannah!" He called out to her and he wasn't sure where she was looking, looking through one of the cabinets with a concentrated expression. "Did you find anything that we could use? Like, it can be anything. As long as it can either be used as a distraction or a defending weapon of sorts.... I dunno."
He went silent as he slowly closed the cabinet and he took a step back, humming softly.
"I wanna be useful too, you know!"

Honestly, excluding the shattered windows across the room, the interior of the houseboat seemed like a cool place to stay.
If she could, she would actually camp here for the rest of the game...
Hannah rummaged throughout the dining area, hoping that no one had been here before them. Her searching list was pretty simple: Something sharp, maybe a knife, more rations, and if she got really lucky, some bandages or utensils will be great too.
She flipped open one cabinet after another, and the results were nearly the same. Most of the cabinets were empty, some containing a few plates and some mugs. Though she hadn't found something sharp or anything edible yet. Nope. Nothing. Nada.
After opening all of the upper cabinets, she continued to search for the drawers, hoping that there could be something helpful...
"Uhmm...I got nothing here so far. How about you?" She asked Beau, who was probably searching somewhere else. Hopefully, she could find something that might help in their situation.

((Gregory Miller continued from Land of Milk and Honey
As soon as he navigated his way out of the cruise ship, Gregory headed straight back to the house boat where he had woke up. Cory might be there, and he could finally finish him off, or maybe Leah or just someone else to kill. To at least leave some kind of a legacy on this season, that was what he had to do. Third time lucky, hopefully! Man, by this time whoever was gonna be the winner probably already had a bunch of kills. Well, the 10 kill winner. If there was gonna be one, anyway; it was a cool rule, but he had never been the best fan of it. Anyway, he was gonna be the normal route winner so that didn't matter at all. He could probably get some cred if he killed the top killer but then they probably had guns but he didn't.
Ah well. As he approached the houseboat's main entrance, the one he had set off from just a day ago with the little bitch and Nate, Gregory patted his pocket, making sure that shard of glass was still in there. It was a crappy knife but hey, it was a knife! People had gotten kills with glass shards all the time, and he'd probably just be the next. Even from here, he could hear someone talking to another person; a girl, maybe? It wasn't that bitch and her simp who had stopped him from sleeping on their boat, but at some point he'd find them. Probably. For now, he had something else to focus on.
Taking cover besides the door and peeking into the room, he saw them; two of them, ome boy and one girl. They were- was he taller than them? Was he fucking taller than them? He was 16, for god's sake! What was more important was that none of them were on his team. And they weren't on each other's team. Maybe they were like, boyfriend and girlfriend or something? Man, teams sucked. The girl was bent over searching the drawers of the kitchen area, probably like, ten or twenty feet away, while the dude was searching behind her. What were they looking for? Food? Weapons? A place for them to hide?
The shattered window was kinda interesting too, because it wasn't like that when he left here. Even more so was that it kinda looked like someone had shot through it. Did these guys have guns? There was some kinda staff which looked really fucking weird. There was a crab on the top of it. Who the fuck would make some kind of crab staff?
But he was a part of Ben's Crabs. And there was a crab staff right here, like some kinda god had gave him a heads-up that hey, it was his day to shine. That he would get a kill here, all signified by that cool crab staff. And even if he didn't get a kill, he wanted that crab staff because hey, he had to rep his team. He had the shirt, now he needed the staff. Man, he hoped someone would make cool fanart of him holding the staff and like, looking all cool and badass and stuff. Like that wizard Gandalph or something.
Right. He took a breath, and then walked into the houseboat, hands in his pockets casually. Of course, he had his knife there, but these dumbasses didn't know that. The sofa he had started this whole thing on was right besides him, too! Some kinda literary metaphor could be made here but meh, he wasn't a book guy, he was a bee guy!
"Hey, guys. Hope I'm not intruding on anything!"
He chuckled. Of course, when they were lying dead, they wouldn't care about that, but he gotta keep appearances, right?

Beau turned his head slightly to the left as Hannah was looking in the area that was just behind him and he pouted slightly, sighing softly. "Ahhh, man. Nothing, huh?" He scratched the side of his right cheek and he glanced back the cabinets that he had been looking in, one of the doors looked like it was about to come loose at any moment's notice. "Sadly, nada for me as well so far."
He wondered if he could just pull the door off and use that as something defendable. It would be better than say, his fists or whatever. He wasn't good at fighting barehanded and he didn't want another Gabriela scenario. He honestly hoped that he wouldn't have to run into her again at all.
Wait, didn't he have scissors or something like that?
"Wait, Hannah. I think I ca-"
He jumped slightly when he heard a dude's voice and he turned his body towards where it was coming from. There was a dude who was near the couch and the broken window was right behind the guy. Oh, wait. It was one of the younger boys. Gregory Miller. Obsessed with bees. Is all that Beau really knew about him. Maybe a nice guy? Maybe a weirdo? Beau didn't really know. All the guy did was just ninja them without Beau even paying attention. Well, it was a relief that he wasn't just attacking them suddenly.
Wait, the bandanna.
Another Ben's Crabs, huh?
Also Beau thought that the name was an unfortunate one. Maybe it was supposed to be a funny joke. He honestly had no idea.
Beau gave Gregory a brief wave and he was shifting his feet a little with unease. "Uh, hey, Gregory. Not really. We were just looking around, ya know. You never know what you might find here." He nodded before his eyes were searching Gregory's body for something possibly dangerous and it didn't look like there was anything bad as far as he could see. "You're like the third Ben's Crabs that I have ran into, man, haha!"
Beau was hoping that everything was gonna be chill. He didn't know a thing about Gregory personally. So he didn't move forward to greet him in his normally, friendly manner. He needed to be more smarter and safer. He also needed to keep himself by Hannah's side if things were gonna get ugly. He didn't know what Gregory was gonna do and he had to wait and see.

"...Hmm?" Hannah turned her attention towards the entrance in surprise, where the new, unfamiliar voice came from, only to find a guy somewhere around her age just standing there. She did not recall meeting or even knowing this dude, though maybe they had met each other once or twice in the hallway, but that's about it.
He had an orange bandana on him though, that's not a good sign. Especially if he had a weapon with him. Both her and Beau would have limited places to escape if he tried something funny.
Hannah made sure that her staff was kept within her reach. Gotta stay alert in case if things went south, eh?
She gave the boy a gentle, polite nod, and continued her searching, trying her best to avoid any communication with this guy. Unlike Beau, who she knew was injured and was unable to fight her, she wasn't sure whether to trust Greg to not harm them. As long as he did not go anywhere close to them, she would leave him be, simple as that.
And that's how she hoped things would be. Because she really did not want to fight right now, especially not in this place.

They seemed startled by his presence, which like, c'mon, really? You're on Survival of the Fittest and you aren't checking your ass every five minutes? Well, not checking your ass, although if you've got your stuff, flaunt it, you know? Gregory had been checking behind him every five minutes or so, because man, it would suck if someone snuck up behind him and ganked him. But that would be his own fault, and up there in heaven he'd have nobody to blame but himself!
Something that the guy said; what was his name? He was in the senior year, but they hadn't ever talked. At all. He mentioned that he was the third Ben's Crabs he had met, which was cool because if this dude could name names, he'd know who was an ally. Who he could rely on to get kills, who he could team up with for even more primetime and like, the dynamic. People loved the duo dynamic. Personally, he always found the lone wolf archetype cool, the guy or girl who struck it out on their own, away from any friends, just killing whoever they saw.
Unless it was that girl who just sniped the winner. She was a bitch and frankly, that was a fucking horrible season.
Gregory took a few steps forwards, leaning against the wall next to the sofa. They both looked kinda nervous, which was fair, because if Gregory and his friend - man, none of his friends were cast, at least nobody in his biology class - were surprised by some dude who kind of had a bloody nose and had a bag of peas tied to his head via bandana, he'd be a little suspicious too. But hey, they didn't seem to have any weapons, apart from that staff thing, and he could probably just close in and then get a few stabs in. Unless Beau was packing a knife or gun or something.
"You've seen someone who's on my team? Who were they?" His voice betrayed his excitement, like a puppy who's owner had just come home. Hopefully it would be someone cool, like Gabriella or Bacchia or someone who was cool, who knew this show like the back of their hand. They could team up and be a wholeass player duo, killing everyone who wasn't on their team and getting those who were to join.
Or, alternatively, it'd be someone who was a whiny little bitch about the whole thing like Cory. 'Cry' would probably be a more accurate name, considering how he probably cried at the thought of not being able to go home and talk online about how brave he was for not watching a TV show. At least that girl who had like, disrupted the convention was dead. Good job, Ivan. Ooh, maybe Ivan would be on his team and they could go and talk on his parents' podcast or something!
"A-Anyway, uh, how have you guys been doing? I got attacked twice, it's been terrible,
He made a show of removing the bag of peas, which was no longer frozen or remotely cold at all, and tossing it onto the ground. And then his hands slipped back into his pockets, close to that knife, close to his lifeline.
"But yeah, you guys seem cool! Mind if I hang out with you two?"

Beau was kinda great that Hannah was barely interacting with Gregory and mostly keeping to herself behind him. He just hoped that she could find something, anything! Just in case he had to throw something once again at someone's face. It might have to be Gregory because sure, Beau knew what it was like to be a nice person. But there was a limit to how too overly friendly a person could be. It felt like something fake but Beau was going to play along for the time being. He needed to see if Gregory was being genuine towards them. If not, they would have to find a way to book it out of there.
"Ah, well. One of them was Anthony Golden. He's, uh, he's on like a revenge path to hunt down Ivan for what he did to Giselle so you might not want to get on Anthony's bad side." Beau said with a small sigh and he was still hoping that Anthony wasn't going to make more enemies with other people out there. "Maybe having a teammate around can help him calm on his hunting. I dunno."
He felt his bandaged arm sting in protest as he thought about the other person on the Crabs' team. Thanks, arm!
"The other one is Gabriela. She shot me. I threw a spoon at her face. End of that story." He huffed softly. "If you want to team up with someone willing to kill. Then I guess you can team up with her. I'm not gonna stop you, she's your teammate. Just know that she has an ally, Elliott-Blair, and that he's on a different team."
Like how Beau was with Hannah. But he didn't care for all the killing and murder and trying to just get ten kills and blah blah blah. He didn't care for any of it.
"We're doing okay, I guess." Beau said simply and he was not gonna tell Gregory that they were looking for a weapon for himself. "Oh shitty shitballs! Geez, I'm sorry that you got attacked, man! Who were the attackers? I'll make sure to keep an eye out for them."
He glanced slightly at Gregory's hands that were tucked in his pockets and he gazed back up at Gregory's face, smiling warily.
"Mm, thanks, dude. Uh, what do you think, Hannah? You cool with Gregory hanging around with us?" He asked in a polite tone of voice and he was making sure to keep his eyes on Gregory.
Something felt off to him. Or was that just the paranoia kicking in? Why did this feel so strange?

Hannah continued to search through the drawers, hoping that one of them might contain something useful... She noticed that Beau had been actively talking to that Gregory kid. It's alright though, anything that would divert his attention from getting closer would do.
It was then when she found a set of kitchenware in one of the drawers. Jackpot.
The utensils seemed to be pretty rusty and blunt, and there weren't any knives to be seen, but hey, some sharpening enough would do the trick, right? Plus, she really wanted something threatening enough to replace the weird crab thingy on the wand...
She looked back at Beau who was entertaining the uninvited guest. Should she tell Beau about the discovery? I mean, sure, based on his current situation he could barely do anything to her even with a knife, but what if he decided to backstab her when she wasn't looking? It's not a risk she could afford to take at this moment...
She looked back at the set of utensils again. As silently as she could, she took two of the forks in the drawer and kept them in her bag, and proceeded with her rummaging. Maybe if something terrible happened, she might give Beau one of them. Maybe. But for now, best to keep everything a secret in case a betrayal happened.
And it was then Beau asked her about keeping Greg, which surprised her for a second. Did he catch me? He didn't saw me hiding the forks from him, did he?
And oh yea, the Greg kid. She still wasn't sure whether to trust him, but she's getting weird vibes from him. Like, for someone who got attacked twice, he seemed overly friendly. If he really was telling the truth, why risking getting attacked for the third time? If she were him, she would have kept hidden for the rest of the game...
She did not trust him, but she did not want to seem as overly hostile either. Not for now.
"Uhh...Uhm, sure, I guess?" Hannah replied, her tone somewhat nervous from the shock, "As long as he doesn't come near this area, I'm cool with it."

Anthony Golden. He was some English kid who hung around that girl who died, really, really anti-SOTF. The fact that he was playing was kinda surprising, but hey, maybe he's just a massive fucking hypocrite. And Gabriella! Yes! Fuck yes! Someone he knew, someone who was cool and knew SOTF like the back of her damn hand! The fact she was hanging around with a random guy not on her team was kinda surprising but meh. Maybe it was her boyfriend or something. Either way, she was a lot more cooler than the British dude so yeah, he was gonna have to look for her! Especially since she had a gun! Cory totally wouldn't expect to be shot in the face.
"Uh, the first dude was Cory Cartwright. He like, tried to stab me, but I knocked the knife out of his hand and then he punched me in the face. I managed to get outta there though! I'd like, shoot first if you get me, dude plays all nice and anti-SOTF then bam! He tries to kill ya." Gregory had been working on that lie while he had been walking around the arena. It made a lot more sense than whatever the fuck he had came up with when it came to Leah. She was cool but meh, he couldn't really care less if she died. It wasn't like Cory. He had made it personal.
"And then, uh, Leah. You know, the really quiet girl? We were just talking and then all of a sudden, she tries to strangle me! I had to like, bash her over the head a couple of times, but I escaped in the end." It was business, he thought, pushing himself off the wall, as his elbow was getting sore and honestly it was a really weird position in the first place, leaning against the wall with your elbow. Instead, he took a few steps back and sat on the sofa. It had been what, twenty-four hours, maybe like, twenty-seven or thirty? He had woken up on here, destined for primetime, destined for the winner's podium.
And he was yet to get a fucking kill. Karen Ruiz had five around this time. Jewel Evans had like, four or five. Gregory Miller had approximately fuck all. It was frustrating. Unknowingly, he let out a noise of frustration, a growl.
"Man, I dunno, this is all kinds of fucked up. Buncha people who I thought I could trust, all suddenly turn on me in a second. It sucks, dude. And, uh- dudette? Dudette, yeah." He let out a little nervous chuckle.
His hands were still in his pocket.
"But yeah, I'm glad to hear that you guys will have me. Safety in numbers, am I right?" He was acting a little too nervous, a little too awkward.
"Anyway, uh, I'm Gregory. I dunno if you guys know me but I don't know you, and you guys probably know each other because you're hanging out, right? So, uh, yeah."
This would be the most awkward kill scene ever.

When Gregory said that he had first got attacked by Cory Cartwright, Beau let out a sympathetic gasp and he tutted as he heard how it went down. He didn't really know a thing about Cory so he guessed he had to take Gregory's word about him for the time being. He knew what the guy looked like and he had given Cory some heys and waves here and there from time to time. But he guessed that he should keep an eye out for the guy if he was really playing.
The next name really got Beau's attention as his eyes widened a little and he stared down at his own bandanna before looking back at Gregory who was moving to sit down.
Leah.
Beau felt bad that he hadn't been able to convince her to stay with him and they could have traveled around as teammates. He almost didn't care if she had attacked Gregory as he could tell that Leah had her own issues and maybe all of this had pushed her over the edge. He would have to make sure to look for her at some point. Hopefully without Gregory being around for too long.
Beau was glad that Hannah seemed to not mind that Gregory was staying for now and Beau noticed that Gregory had made himself comfortable anyway.
"Mmm, yeah, really does suck to get attacked. It could also be people's nerves. Maybe people just can't handle being here, maybe it's something personal, I dunno." Beau said as he was reaching up to take off his cap and his slightly, messy blue hair was brushed over slightly with his hand, feeling still a bit wary of Gregory. "I have no desire of killing people. That's just how I am, you know. No bad bone in my body and all that jazz!"
He was being truthful. Killing people was not on his list. He also wanted to live for as long as he could. Still if he ended up dying at some point. Well.... At least he tried?
"Right. Nice to meet you, Gregory! Well, kinda, I guess! I only really know you as the bee boy and that's pretty awesome, man." Beau was beaming at Gregory with a bright smile and he took a step forward, still not that close to where Gregory was seated on the sofa. "Oh, righty right! I'm Beau Lively and my friend here is Hannah Choi. We don't really know each other but Hannah helped me out with my injury. So we decided to stick together."
He paused as he thought about the safety in numbers part and then he thought about what Gregory said about Leah again.
"Hmm. How's your neck, Greg? Do you want me to look at it or something?" He asked curiously.

...
Nothing here...
Nothing there either...
After opening almost every cabinet on the shelf, Hannah continued her rummage at the fridge. Excluding the knife set that she had found just now, her scavenge hunt had been...far from successful, as she had barely found anything useful in the process.
Hoping that she could at least get some rations, she opened the bottom of the refrigerator.
Where she found a large group of canned food. Nearly a dozen of them.
As she nearly squealed in joy, thinking as if God was giving her her paycheck, she grabbed one of the cans and examined it closer. Only to find out that the cans had expired at least a year ago.
God fucking damn it.
Sighing in disappointment, she shoved the can back into its original spot, and gently close the door. And it was then when she overheard the conversation between Beau and Greg, something about Beau wanted to examine Greg's neck.
It was then when she had a strong urge to scream the word "NO" towards Beau's ears. Having him getting closer to Greg, whose motives for approaching them were still unknown, could lead to serious trouble, and if Greg had a weapon with him...
Hannah took another glance towards the two guys, while slowly and carefully approaching for her staff. Because if God forbid a fight or even a murder attempt actually happened, she would have to at least make sure she was prepared when Greg was coming for her. But for now, all she could do was just wait and observe.

Boh and Hannah. He didn't think he had heard of them before; must be seniors or something. Aw, did none of his friends in his year get picked? That sucked but what sucked more would be having to kill them so hey, it all worked out in the end! He'd be able to put on a show for them, get the hell outta this game and they could all talk about how cool he was. Judging by Boh's mention of him being the 'bee boy', they must have heard of him. Which in a way, was kinda a disadvantage. Man, he should start using fake names or something. Like, Johnny Johnson or some shit. Or Boh Choi. That sounded like it was a plan!
"Yeah, man... I don't even wanna kill anyone, but like, if someone decides that they're gonna attack me then well, I ain't just gonna sit down and let them kill me, y'know? If it's me or some dude who wants to kill me, then I guess I know what I'm picking." He chuckled nervously, reaching his left hand up to run it through his hair as he slouched back on the couch. His right hand was clenching the knife. Right, how should he do this?
It was pretty obvious that this all would start with Boh. He seemed like the kinda dumbass who could be easily lured to Gregory's seat and then a quick stab in the neck or face or head or whatever would do him in. And while he was bleeding on the floor, he had to turn his attention to Hannah. Bolas her, maybe? Knock her down to the ground and beat her to death with it. Or he could just stab her but like, that would be kinda boring, just stabbing two people in quick succession. But kills weren't boring, and getting two in quick succession would give him some credit, a sudden jump to the front of the queue. Some fame.
Of course, Beau could kill him. But that's the fun of the game, isn't it? You might get your kill. You might be killed in turn. That was how life worked. That was how SOTF worked, and that's why he kept coming back to it every time. The big hunk of muscle might fall and die to the scrawny nerd, or he might end up killing the nerd. Everything was possible, and everyone and anyone was a potential winner. Like Parker, but he wasn't gonna be Parkering. No, he was gonna be better than that.
And right on fucking cue, Boh asked him if he wanted him to take a look at all those marks on his neck. Really, he didn't know what could be done. It wasn't like Boh could go 'Fuck you Leah' and unstrangle him, unpunch him in the face, but this was gonna be an opportunity to lure him up close, and then take him out. Sure, Boh may be some kinda pacifistic dumbass who thinks that he could get through this game alive, but he still coulda won if he just applied himself. Leah coulda killed him if she applied herself. He coulda killed her. But he was a fucking idiot and man, had he paid the price for it.
"Oh yeah, sure!" Gregory cheerfully replied. Hannah was still scavenging the cupboards as far as he could tell, which was stupid. But his focus wasn't on her, but Sonic-hair Boh.
In his pocket, he gripped the knife harder.
Don't fuck this up, Gregory. You only get one shot at this.

Alarm bells, alarm bells.
They were ringing in Beau's head. Telling him to just grab Hannah and book it out of there. There was still like something so... off about Gregory. But could he really judge a guy that seemed to be kinda creepy with how he was acting? Okay, Beau was maybe not the best judge of character, but something was nagging at the back of his brain and the other half of his brain was telling it to shut up and just help a fellow injured person out.
Beau took a careful, slow, casual stroll towards where Greg was seated and he stood right in front of him, staring down at him and he smiled slightly.
"Wow. You really look like you've been through hell, man!" He blurted out with a nervous laugh. "Oh, whoops. Didn't mean to laugh. Just a nervous tick, you know?"
He leaned down a bit to get a closer look at the damage that Leah had caused and he couldn't help but feel really bummed out. Like he was kinda hoping that it was a lie that Leah had attacked anyone. He should have expected it tho. Not everyone was gonna try to go now the peaceful route on his team. Man, that really was a sucky thing for him to even think about.
"Leah really did that. My teammate...." He murmured softly so that Gregory only heard him, feeling a bit disappointed. "Mannn. I'm really sorry that she eve-"

As soon as Boh leant down to examine his neck injuries, Gregory pulled the glass shiv out of his knife and stabbed at Beau. He just had to hit the neck. Then all of this would be over. He could rest easy with one kill at least.

Beau had seen the moment of the weapon when he glanced down for a brief second and he tried to move himself back quickly. But not quick enough. He felt the glass piercing into his shoulder of his already injured arm and he felt himself letting out a startled noise of agony.
And he reacted back this time.
He was not normally a fighter, but he didn't want an ally in danger because of his own stupidity of letting himself trust Gregory for even a few seconds or so.
He slammed his fist into the side of Gregory's head and he jumped backwards into the wall behind him, gasping in pain.
