For clarity:
The borders of the Zone are not strictly delineated. However, the area depicted in the map is literally in the middle of nowhere - it is days away from civilisation on foot, and there are no operable vehicles in the Zone. If that weren't enough, approaching the edges of the Zone will invoke the threat of collar detonation and orders to turn around, with the collars being blown if this rule is persistently violated.
