The announcer dude left and...Ah, there he was. Dexter Milton. One of Sixty-ish SOTF winnners.
He went to the stage, introduced himself and there already was a person in the crowd asking the first question.
"What was your relationship to Jack Miller in school before you both were taken to SOTF?", said a nerd brown haired boy in the crowd.
It was an interesting question, Giselle thought but instead of listening to his answer she talked with the freckled girl sitting next to her.
"Could you stand up? I need to go to the bathroom."

Shoshanna smiled as Dexter took to the stage. She quickly got her phone out so she could get some pics for the blog. She clicked a few pictures as he got into place. She wasn't in that great a spot, but she got some that looked decent. Once the introduction was over, the Q&A began.
Shoshanna switched her camera to video, holding it in one hand while her other hand took notes in her notebook. She could rewatch the video later and use her notes to remind herself of some of the best and most relevant quotes. She had learned how to act like a journalist during these sorts of panels over the years, something that would surely help her in her profession later in life.
As the panel started, the girl next to Shoshanna asked her to get up.
"Oh, sure," Shoshanna whispered, standing up from her seat so the girl could get out of the row.
Why this girl didn't try to go to the bathroom before the panel eluded Shoshanna, but whatever, she could stand to be polite.

Gregory listened intently to Dexter's answer to the other guy's question - damn, he wished he had thought of that one, actually. Call it a little narcissistic, but he had always wondered about the big what-if of 62. Jack would have been an interesting winner, and plus, they shared a surname! His grandfather had made a bunch of playful jokes about it at the time, but sadly his favoured participant died to bad luck.
The two girls behind him were whispering, and Gregory's train of thought was distracted. He whipped his head around to shoot Karen an annoyed glare, and then there was the sound of a chair scraping slightly as she got up. The hell was she doing? If she needed to use the bathroom, she coulda just went y'know, before the Q&A panel started. All she was doing now was making a little bit of a distraction. Eh, he probably shouldn't be so negative. If you gotta go, you gotta go. Turning his head back towards the Q&A panel, Gregory listened patiently to Dexter. This was interesting. Heh, maybe he could bring Sammy to one of these conventions. Sure, he might seem a little out of place among all the colourful clothing and the young people, but he'd probably enjoy it. Zoning out a little as he thought of his grandfather's response to a SOTF convention, he just watched Dexter talk, a muted smile on his face.

Dexter talked. He replied to the question, started talking about his reputation and how he dealt with his criticism. The spotlight was on him, but Giselle would change that. It would be her time soon.
"Sorry", she said to the freckled girl with a smile. "It's urgent." She acted as if it really was urgent by pretending to be in rush, moving her body in a shaky manner as she waited for Shoshanna to stand up. When she finally did, she ran. But not as expected in the direction of the backdoor leading back to the hall where the toilets were. No, she was running to the opposite direction of that. Forward. To the stage.
Storming the bastille.
Giselle's pulse beat faster than ever when she ran to the stage and quickly climbed up. She did not know she had the energy to do it so quickly, but apparently anything was possible when you've got adrenaline. The couple of weekly physical excersises in drama club might've helped too.
Dexter, confused, suddenly stopped speaking when he saw Giselle next to him on the stage and Giselle quickly acted. She shoved him to the side and grabbed his mic. Showtime. She quickly spat out her message.
"NONE OF THE WINNERS PROFIT FROM THIS CONVENTION ONLY THE PRODUC-"
She didn't get further than that as the security guards quickly tugged her away from the stage. Giselle had no chance to even resist.
Fuck, fuck, god fucking damn it. She could've spoken hours about the wrongdoings of this convention and how it just fucked over everyone but the producers, she had prepared a speech of at least fifteen minutes, she wished she could have spoken at least for a couple of seconds more. Just some more words, maybe she could've convinced the security guards with her message. They were victims, too, in a way. Giselle wanted to speak for a couple of seconds more.
She had so much she wanted to get out, wanted the people to know, inform them about facts, but as quick as she gained the attention, she also quickly lost it after she had been taken off the stage. The attention would be at Dexter again and regular schedule would resume.

I'm so glad to be back !
Shoshanna sat back down as the girl got out of the aisle. She smiled at the girl, then turned her attention back to the stage. She adjusted her phone to get it close on Milton, her pen continuing to move across the notebook.
However, there was a sound near her, and with a side glance, she realized the potty break girl was now running towards the stage. Shoshanna gasped as a smile broke across her face.
Shoshanna quickly stood up from her seat, keeping the phone trained on the girl as she wrenched the mic away from Milton and made some statement about the winners not profiting from the conventions. Shoshanna kept recording as the girl was seized by security and taken out of the room. She couldn't help but chuckle to herself.
She sat back down as the panel resumed. Shoshanna immediately stopped the recording on her phone.
"Oh I gotta be the first to tweet this out," she said.
Shoshanna got to quickly clipping the video on her phone. The rest of the panel could go on. This was a major moment, and it was sure to get a lot of traffic. She hadn't seen anything this mad at a convention before, and she had to blast it out.
"@DexterMilton62 panel crashed by loony girl and escorted out by security. #MiamiSOTFCon #SOTF" Shoshanna tweeted.
She had no clue if the wifi in the place was good enough to get it out, but Shoshanna had to be pleased. This was a huge break, and would be a good angle for the blog post.
What a moron. Not like the winners need to get paid when they're already millionaires.

Oh man, he hadn't been expecting that. Ruiz had gotten up from her chair, and all of a sudden instead of going to the toilets, she ran towards the stage, clambered up it like a monkey to a tree, and shoved Dexter to the side. As this happened, Gregory leaned forwards, intrigued as to just what the hell this girl was doing. Was she one of those fangirls - like, the REALLY big fangirls - who would proclaim her love to Ruiz or whoever she was stanning, and then get booted off the stage?
"NONE OF THE WINNERS PROFIT FROM THIS CONVENTION ONLY THE PRODUC-" And then the security guards grabbed her by the arms and carted her towards the exit, a hail of boos from the crowd following her out. Gregory was joining in with the crowd, perhaps a little annoyed. This was his first winner convention and it had to be ruined by some... what the fuck was she even trying to say? None of the winners profited from this, only the producers? Was that like, anti-SOTF or just some weirdo trying to make some comment about class? Her message had been shitty, and her preferred method of delivering that method, doubly so. Gregory didn't have time to contemplate just whatever the poor girl was trying to say before Dexter returned to the stage, apologising sheepishly and continuing the panel.
Ah well. It would make a funny story to tell Sammy.
