((Ashley Namath -Sandbox- Continued From Rake))

Her feet shuffled against one another, her boots doing very little to actually keep them warm while she stood in the snow. Her hands shivered in her mittens that were buried deep into her coat pockets.

She really should have bought the movie tickets online. Oh, but she was so close to the counter...

In all honestly, the weather wasn't so bad. But Ashley was not one to delve into unpleasant conditions, and would avoid doing so if she had a choice. She had gotten a bit use to it, but not by much.

"Seriously, fuck snow."

Her right mitten strangled her wallet, crushing her ID and money. Mitten. Dammit.

"Fuck, how am I gonna get the money out?"

It seemed simple enough. Just take off the mittens and get the money out. But fuck that. It was too cold and it required effort. The wind stung her face with chills, making her shake.

"The Chronicles of Young Heartbreak better be worth it. Better then the book, even."

((Angie Hart- Sandbox Start))

Angie walked into line at the ticket counter, shaking the snow off of her boots.  She was so excited to get into the theater that she could barely stand still.  Army of Excalibur was finally screening, and she was going to make sure she got into one of the first screenings.  She had hyped herself up by watching all of the trailers again, and she was staring at the ticket counter in anticipation, waiting for the line to dissipate.

Come on... I've only got fifteen minutes until showtime...

Angie started tugging at the sleeves of her bright red jacket, trying to make them cover more of her wrists.  She had forgotten her gloves at home, and her hands were paying the price.  She had only rarely removed them from her pockets since leaving home that day due to the cold, and now she was remembering why.  She stashed her hands back into her pockets and looked straight ahead, trying to get her mind off the weather.

She tilted her head slightly and squinted a little as she looked at the girl in front of her.  She could swear that she knew her, probably from school.  She went through all of the other kids she knew in her mind while she tried to come up with an answer, eventually settling on one name that she thought was right.

"Ashley, is that you?"

Ashley let go of her grip around her wallet when someone called out her name. She turned her head back  up a bit, just enough to get a look of who was talking.

A....A...A-something. Ashley? Wait no, she was Ashley. Well, she could be Ashley too, Ashley supposed. WAIT. Angie. Yeah, Angie. Artsy fartsy kid or something like that.

"I should socialize with other people some time outside of parties. Or at least learn their names."

As she glanced at the other girl, she took out one of her gloved hands and gave a slight bunched finger wave.

"Yep. th-sup?"

Angie rocked back and forth on the soles of her boots.  "Nothing much.  Just waiting in line for tickets."

She looked ahead of Ashley to see how much longer the line was.  Unfortunately, the person at the front of the line seemed to be having some trouble with his ticket, so it looked like they might be there a little longer than she'd like.  Hopefully not too long, though.  Her movie was starting soon, and she wanted to have enough time to grab some snacks!

Still, if they were stuck in line, it couldn't hurt to make some small talk.

"So what are you going to see?"

Well, of course she was waiting. Duh. Ashley should have figured that, but she said something without thinking again. Oh well, no big deal.

To Angie's question of what movie Ashley was going to see, Ashley had to do a quick check on her brain.

"Oh yeah, was just gonna go watch a romance movie all by my lonesome, that doesn't possess any implications about myself at all."

She feigned some shivering in order to give her some time to think. Fuck, what were some movies out that wouldn't make her look her weird...maybe just bullshit some name? Nah, then Angie'd have to ask what it was about and that just led to more bullshit. Fuckfuckfuck...

"Oh, just, um, Army of Excalibur...looks...er...fun...yeah."

Giving a casual shrug, Ashley grew a crooked look on her face that seemed to be a mushed combination of her usual frown and a smirk.

"Smooth..."

((Sorry Aura, but it's been a long time since you posted))

Before Ashley was aware of it, it was already her turn to get at ticket.

"Excuse me miss?"

She cranked her head forward and began rushing her words.

"Oneforthechroniclesofyoungheartbreakpleaseandthankyou."

She didn't even check if she got the right ticket. Or get any candy. Ashley did eventually make her way to the right section for her movie though, so things were okay.

(Sorry about my inactivity, everyone!)

Angie perked up when she heard that Ashley was going to see Army of Excalibur.  "Really?  I'm going to see it, too!  Pretty funny coincidence, huh?"

Angie would've tried to continue the conversation, but it didn't really seem like Ashley was in the mood to talk, so she just let it go.  Once the issue with the person at the front of the line was sorted out, the rest of the line moved fairly quickly.  Angie stepped up right after Ashley, who had spoken too fast for Angie to really make out what she had been saying.  Angie took a quick look at the showtimes to make sure that she was on time, and gave her order to the man in the ticket booth.

"One for Army of Excalibur, please."

Angie took her ticket and walked inside the theater.  She checked her watch once she reached the lobby.  There was still five minutes left until her movie started.

Great!  Now to get a soda and some nachos...

((Angie Hart continued elsewhere...))
