Millions of souls, drifting rigid like wood.
Swimming like schools of fish.
Full of life that could've had so much potential.
But when the New Death came...
How far was he willing to make a deal?
Charon knew.
He made a deal with not a devil, but a ferryman.
A deity with a rowboat and an oar.
The New Death knew what he must do and he must make it count.
Even if there were others, who would cheat death upon their new lives...
The New Death wanted to make a miracle.
One that he originally hope he done, but failed.
Charon lent him what he needed for a fair trade.
One soul. One fish hook. One long line of thorny vine.
Attached to the hook was one worm.
A worm that had consumed the bodies that were left behind by those who left the world.
The New Death must not let this effort go to waste.
Casted into the waters.
He waited until he felt a tug.
Reeling it in, he saw a woman.
Beaten, bruised, and battered.
Her body dumped into the seas of the great waters after her death.
An act of injustice.
From a man who used his God to justify his sins.
The New Death wanted to cry, but it was too late.
He felt no pain. No joy. No sadness.
Such emotions were meaningless to him now.
But seeing the fish hook piercing her lips.
He felt bad.
And he must not release what he caught.
He removed the hook from her lips and he said to her.
Words to bring her back.
"Come forth. Resurface to the new world. The hourglass to determine your fate will not last forever."
"Make it right."
"Make it right."
Pineapple Bloodworth, or Pippi as she likes to call her, along with her peers and teachers, blinked out from the sudden daydream. Was she suffering from caffeine withdrawal already? It was unlikely.
"Who can fix this equation? Pippi? Can you?" her teacher was there. Her environment went back to where she was and what she needed to do. It was an easy equation, more of a warm up. It didn't seem anyone was really caring on what was on the board.
"The length is 15m, while the width is 36m. That would be the area of the rectangle would be 540m2!"
She didn't need to take down notes in terms of multiplying, she was able to construct it in her mind.
"Very good. Of course, I would like to see you all try to solve these questions with the added part of height. Some of you should already know this, unless you were slacking off and not studying as I recommended.." the teacher glanced at the back of the class. So-called teacher's pet Pippi was at the front, standing out like a sore thumb with her latest multicolored light parade that was called clothing.
The teacher was giving out worksheets with lists of problems that needed solving. Pippi could easily solve this in relatively 15 minutes without notes. She liked trying without notes, because she learnt so much. She was already a machine. A machine that compute nearly all the equations that it's presented and try to solve them at the best of her abilities.
A computer that had been in the WATERS, and given new programs and software to do what she desires.
The teacher glanced at their laptop. It appears that they are needed for a teacher meeting with another student.
"I will be back shortly, but whatever is not finished will count as homework. I also suspect that you all behave while I'm gone, unless I could get a pop quiz in."
After the teacher left, the class immediately seemed more at ease at talking with one another. Being immersed with conversations without fear of authority. Pippi didn't care for this socialization. She was already at the 3rd problem, getting in the area and analyzing the new problems that her teacher prepared for her.
Some more coffee could help her, maybe even an energy drink.
