umineko no naku koro ni is a visual novel but honestly its just like kind of an Experience, like a really long experience too tbh its like easily 100 hours depending on how fast you read but its totally worth it. like think of it like reading a really long book, but with a dope soundtrack. the first episode is kinda slow bc it has to set up a lot of mundane stuff but it picks up steam late in episode 1 and things are a lot more holy shit after that, i promise, but obvs with the whole 100 hours thing you kinda need to be patient to get into it but i SWEAR its worth it. i mean stay away if ur sensitive to things like. murder. bc theres a lot of murder. also child abuse. those are ur TWs. but outside of that please play this game i swear its worth the price of admission but also like download the 07th mod if you do it updates the graphics and adds voice acting bc the steam version is missing those things for some dumb reason that i dont understand, like its still playable and everything but the voice acting adds so much and the original updated sprites for steam are BAD like oh my god who drew these fucking things why is this happening? who allowed this?? anyway we stan ronove in this house
