As the day wore on, and sunset wasn't too far away, the adventurers narrowed down their suspects in the murder of the Bard to the Rogue and the Barbarian.

Both of them insisted they hadn't even heard the Bard last night. Their alibis lined up, seemingly. But the Barbarian's answers didn't sit right with the Rogue.

"You say you didn't leave the inn at all, last night?" the Rogue questioned.

The Barbarian shook his head.

The Rogue narrowed their eyes, and brought up their finger, a necklace of bear-teeth hanging from it. The others had seen the Barbarian wearing it before.

"Thief," the Barbarian snarled.

"Liar," the Rogue shot back. "Do you want to know where I found this?"

Turning to the Wizard, the Barbarian muttered "Breaking into rooms and stealing things doesn't look good on someone supposedly innocent, does it?"

"Oh, but I didn't need to break into your room," the Rogue corrected. "I found it in the warehouse with the ritual circle. The circle that, might I add, evidence points to the Warlock drawing?"

The room fell silent.

The Monk stood up. "The Bard's wounds did look like axe wounds."


Evidence just kept piling up. By sunset, swords and axes and staffs were drawn.
