The announcement came on and reminded him that Axel was dead. Shitty ghost noises were involved.
He punched a tree because that was what red-blooded winner action men did when they were feeling something dangerously close to an emotion, right? It's not like he would've cried anyways, but this way, even if he had, it would've been out of pain, not out of pain, y'know?
Nothing else happened that day, so he guessed you could call it the high point, in the sense that you gotta climb to a real high place before you fell to your death.
