HIT 'EM UP STYLE (OOPS)

heyyyy y'all here's a lady to plan relationships with (and another one for my other new lady)

Tonya Collins: Sarcastic, caustic, and more than a little bit sassy, Tonya's not exactly the most pleasant person to be around. Born to a family that owns a soul food restaurant (well, since she was like ten), she has grown up helping out around the restaurant, one of the few places in which she won't jump on an opportunity to make a snarky comment. Besides this, though, she plays badminton, loves Jeopardy, and actually enjoys volunteering at the community center, one of the only locations in which she's not frowning like 90% of the time (even at parties). Also, she's a teen mom. What about it?
[+] Relationships
  • Lucas Abernathy - "Sure, he's a manwhore, but he's...surprisingly ayt?" Somehow friends. A sorta-pretentious and promiscuous film buff was not exactly who Tonya expected to make friends with in high school, but he's fun enough at parties and chill enough that her comments are mainly taken in stride.
  • Camila Cañizares - "Takes a lot out of someone to stand by a ho. Can't ever appreciate her enough." Close friends, with Camila often offering to help babysit Patrice when Tonya gets too busy. First meeting as fellow volunteers, the fact that Camila has stuck with her through thick and thin means Tonya counts her as a particularly close friends, and she is always sure to give a bit of a discount when Camila comes around. At least it's helping reviews?
  • Demetri Fuscher - "Ass." Neither is exactly on good terms with the other, although she views him with a lot more animosity than he does her. Reputation does count for something, after all.
  • Johnny Silva Ruiz - "We ain't talking about him." Formerly close friends united by mutual sarcasm, they had a nasty confrontation after Johnny discovered Tonya was pregnant, and now they regard each other with mutual distaste.
  • Toby Underwood - "Great to watch Jeopardy with. Not such a great comedian." Sort-of-friends with a mutual liking for Jeopardy, Toby and Tonya get along relatively well with one another, although his jokes about babysitting often fall flat with her.
Mike Brown: (Profile)
Chill! Sometimes stupid! Doesn't know how to make decisions! Last minute idea!

Mike is half-pinoy, half-white, loves to play the guitar and sang, play baseball, and party! also gay but that topic's awkward for him sooo ya

Hello! Resident manho, Lucas Abernathy, is being offered up. Likely at some point he has hit on her/asked her out. Whether or not they dated is entirely up to you.

Well, I can't imagine Tonya taking that initial flirting well, even before she got pregnant, I could see how Lucas and Tonya form an odd friendship of sorts, at least at parties, with her making fun of his manho-ishness. I suppose there could be some overlap between her love of trivia and his love of obscure film, although those moments would probably be scattered as hell.

hi im late? probably?

okay i know we did this before ur first time around but i shall remind you of the "dante can and has hit on All Girls clause" so we can move on

other than that im not sure any of my kids have much in common w/ tonya because i have a bunch of fucking delinquents tbh. dante's a nice dude generally if the flirting approach didn't make her dislike him immediately, but otherwise i dunno if i see anything.

as for aditi im bout to have the same convo we had way back when about keisha and ivy, except i feel like this one's gonna be a lil less friendly. less actual friendship, more "we're coworkers and our job is being popular and shit". not any other obvious commonalities w/ my other kids that i can see, outside of like dante being involved in the general athlete crowd i guess

lemme know what u think, and also if you see other possibilities that im missing because its like 7 AM and i havent slept yet

so hey fen here're some ideas:

tonya and nia actually might get along sorta well? tonya's real into trivia and nia seems to love gobbling up information, so i could see them working on shit. not that tonya knows asl, but she'd be willing to learn and stuff.

tonya's also randomly friends with lucas, so i could see her sorta knowing axel. don't know if they'd be closer than that, but if axel is okay with her making snarky comments on that expense that might be chill, as long as he doesn't judge her after the whole teen mom business

ya aditi and ivy would have a very transactional relationship i feel, in which they're both "friends" bc they're both popular and like gossip but nothing more than that. aditi probably can't wait to ditch ivy when she goes off for college, and ivy probably can't wait to do the same. ivy will probably recognize that aditi's a lot nastier than she seems on the outside rip

ya both girls would probs be on okay terms with dante, probably more tonya? idk if they'd be closer than that tho!

hopefully all of that makes sense?

It's ya boy here for some relationship suggestions for your kiddos

Tonya: Considering that she and Blake have a mutual enjoyment of volunteering, I can see them bonding over that or at least respecting one another in that area. I can even see him realizing the stress that being a parent is having on her and put up with her sarcasm or maybe even attempt to comfort her because of it.

I think that Tonya and Matthew would get along like Johnny, minus the falling out, due to one thing: sarcasm. Assuming they don't take it too far, that is.

Aditi: I'm not really sure that Blake would know her all that much, unless you have any ideas for him.

Despite her being polite and such, I can see Matthew not really liking her due to her tendency to make snippy comments at him. After a bit, I can see him firing back with comments of his own since an apology can only do so much.

Tonya - Blake: I think I can see Tonya reluctantly accepting Blake's advice, and them forming a sort-of friendship behind it!

Tonya - Matthew: yayayay snark buddies! but yeah, i can see them making fun of other people and them bonding over that!

Aditi - Matthew: ya aditi's not very nice, and i can see aditi still being on the surface polite but glaring at him with the intensity of a thousand eyes while doing so.
