Appearance: Bret is a 5'9'', 160lb Caucasian male, though his weight and height would be more obvious were he not confined to his wheelchair. He has a thin, slightly sallow face, with dark blue eyes, prominent brown eyebrows, thin lips and a thin nose. Bret takes pride in his appearance, his brown hair always cut short and his face always clean-shaven. He wears smart-looking, not inexpensive clothes, jeans and polo shirts often the order of the day.
Biography: Born into an upper-middle class family, Bret Kross had always lived a very comfortable life. With good friends, supportive parents, solid grades and a loyal, attractive girlfriend, Bret was geared for big things. His prowess on the football field, as defensive tackle for the Yelchin Pumas, and his friendliness and (relative) decency off the field made him a popular guy in his school.
However, in a game against Bayview Secondary School, Bret's life and plans had the reset button forcibly pushed on them, as a tackle in the final minutes broke his left leg. He was rushed to hospital, and after extensive surgery on the leg, he was told that the injury was of such severity that he would never be able to walk properly again, let alone play football. Bret was crushed. However, intent on succeeding despite his injury, Bret took to wheelchair rugby and became a state representative for the sport. A year after, Bret is preparing to trial for the American Paralympic team, and he still has good friends, supportive parents, solid grades and a loyal girlfriend. However, he has never forgiven the man responsible for his life-changing injury, Bayview offensive guard Ma'afu Tuigamala, and is unlikely to any time soon.
