She tripped forward to a stop.
Her forehead was so moist. Something kept dripping down into her good eye. She wiped it away with what she thought was her hand. Couldn't do anything about the stench of copper.

Everything blurred together like she was on a merry-go-round. The green of the trees, the brown of the road, the beige of the buildings past the horizon, the blue and gray of the sky. They were one and the same.
