The woods themselves are still lush and green, with copious amounts of vegetation. Due to all the foot travel over the years, paths are still present even as the ferns start to grow. Despite this, it is still easy to get lost if one was to venture off the path as the woods are quite densely packed.

Leaving the little clearing that Angie found as a refuge gave her an odd feeling. A reminder that she had step over the point of no return. There were no way she could go back to a normal life after this, and there was no way for her become who she wanted to be. After Myles and Adonis left, Jonathan and Angie were left alone, again.

There weren't any words she wanted to say because Angie knew they would be empty. The words can't mean anything if the speaker doesn't believe them. Telling Jonathan to be safe or to be careful was useless because in the end, nobody could avoid their fate. They were, one way or the other, all going to die here. Nobody will comeback home the same way they entered the arena, and Angie's hollow words wouldn't change that.

Quietly, she left. Angie followed the two boys. Perhaps, she'd follow them until her body gave up. Maybe, she'd follow them until her mind did. Either way, from this point on, anything she did or say didn't matter.

((Angelina Cortez continued here.))
