@decoy, Jace, and Dea: bumpity bump in case you don't feel like reading the last couple pages. Do your roles use shadow magic? yes/no/decline to answer, but provide one of these three answers in your next post or else im gonna sic a kobold on you. yes you can probably beat a kobold in combat. no i do not care. and if you decline to answer i want an explanation.

to actually be helpful though i’m el monko and my thing is that i was the informed townie and my info confirmed boogie is town, a sorcerer, and a miller

also the implication is that shadow magic is bad and that’s why boogie would ping scum so looks at Paige

oh also this probably means if anyone comes back as a warlock they scum

if dea is really an informed townie that all but confirms we have no real cop to me, tho that's a big if because I have no idea why the monk is an informed townie flavorwise and it's super convenient that all the information he was given is stuff that's already well out in the open. maybe i'm wrong either way tho

im the wizard, and also the watcher. i obviously cant copy paste my role pm but since we're discussing magic mine specifically says im not good at evocation but i Am good at divination, no mention of shadow magic at all. i watched toben on night one because he's relatively likely to be a hotbed of activity. paige visited him and no one else did thus me soft-confirming paige's actions earlier

thats also why im basically 100% sure toben and paige cant both be scum, unless like zetsu suggested and dismissed paige literally wasted their night action checking other scum which would be galaxy brained; the only other possibility is paige is lying and has some other scum role that targets scum but that would basically only be a mafia doctor or a framer neither of which makes any sense with the setup we've deduced so far

I'd like to have gotten responses from Decoy and Jace before claiming, but we're running up against the timer.

I'm Druid, I'm the gunsmith, and I can investigate a player to determine whether they have shadow magic or not.

Okay zetsu' s role makes my shadow magic tag make much more sense.

Miller is a red herring. Our actual investigative roles have their own versions of a miller; MW is a watcher-miller because he visits without obvious results, I'm a gunsmith-miller because I have shadow magic, and I'm betting someone has a flavor trigger designed to make them look super duper like scum to me. Meanwhile we have a miller with another role that can confirm directly that he is a miller, which means there is very likely no cop imo as it would be our fifth investigative role assuming all claims so far are true. I think they are.

If zetsu is lying we'll know when Ricky flips. If she isn't I think scum is pretty confidently limited to Decoy, Jace, and Random, maybe Dea as well but in context of all other claims I believe his too, and I believe the way all our other roles have confirmed each other. So a Ricky lunch feels optimal to me

There is a chance that me, MW, fen, or dea could all be scum but it would be very odd to see these roles scum aligned in this set-up, and there is so much cross confirmation going on

okay, so anyways:

I spoke to blizz for clarification, and she said that an *unmodified* miller would return as 'no shadow magic.' Presumably, a modified miller would return a guilty result. To me, this is more evidence that boogie is who he says he is--he specifies that he's miller because he has innate shadow magic, which is a bit of specificity that I would not expect scum to be able to get accurately without detailed roleclaims. If boogie does flip scum, scum either have detailed roleclaims or know that there's a gunsmith in the game.

Also, if boogie flips scum, Dea is 100% scum. Boogie flipping town doesn't exonerate Dea, though.

Paige's claim that they have shadowy magics and that using their powers offensively checks out for me as well--gunsmith identifies guns, and in a heavily modded setting like this, it makes sense that they'd detect as having a gun for using their powers offensively (e.g., in a gun-like manner, i guess). Paige is confirmed rolecop, and there aren't any members of scum that can detect as gun-less aside from a scum doctor, and if paige is a scum doctor then protecting mw is ridiculously galaxy-brained (as i'm almost certain now that mw is town). this is a heavily-modded setting, so there's the possibility of other scum roles that won't detect as having a gun until they've done the kill. still inclined to say that paige being scum would just be very weird. that and their play looks townie to me.

@fen: if there really is both a watcher and a gunsmith in this town, then...idk, man. that feels pretty ridiculous and i'd expect scum to have a ton of tools to deal with that. we'll know more when we find out what role ricky is, but unless that clears you somehow (bc he's a ninja, or bc he has some other powerful role, or something) you're top of my lunch list after ricky.
