Ngl starting the game has me perusing throug this tumblr of Houseife Rankings and have honestly cackled at some of the things that have happened in the show. I’m almost tempted to watch it.

It's a heavily manipulated reality show. They purposefully cast people who will clash and cause conflict with each other, usually with some token normal people/audience surrogates.

Things that have happened on this show:
- Fran Drescher's sister-in-law removes her prosthetic leg and throws it at someone.
- Woman's husband is caught on mic calling his mistress and calling her a cunt and then both the husband and wife go to jail for millions in fraud.
- A psychic fights a drag queen at a charity dinner.
- Woman's boyfriend fakes having cancer for an entire season and then a girl she was mean to goes around doing detective work, pretends to be a cancer patient, calls his old girlfriends, and proves he is faking cancer as revenge.
-A woman splashes another woman in a canoe and in retaliation she chucks an entire wine glass at her face, resulting in the splasher bleeding from the face.
- Angry drunk goes on such an extreme bender in Vegas she is almost late for her own wedding.
- Compulsive liar and her lying husband lie their way past secret service and crash a presidential dinner without an invite

It's also uniquely perfect for mafia because women team up, scheme and then try to get each other fired. There is no prize for this besides the joy of having won.

If anything we have an awful lot to live up to.

That's pretty beautiful. It sounds very mafia-esque and also like the fallout is actually a lot more serious than in many reality shows. I wonder what sorts of lawyers they have on staff.

It’s truly stunning the machinations and schemes that some of the ladies come up with. Like just the stuff I read about Vanderpump seems near Machiavellian which is impressive in its own right.

Then again, you also have the emotional wrecks and everything in between.

It's telling that all the boring, reasonable people on the show are quietly pushed aside after one or two seasons to make rooms for the total crazies. I predict this game will work largely off the same principle.

To answer Toben, sometimes things get litigious. For example, another girl on the show said on a live tv program that comes after the show that Joanna’s pussy smells rank. Joanna sued her and sadly they settled out of court for an undisclosed amount and the other girl was forced to issue and apology
