The elementary school building is similar to the high school. Spider webs and dust cloud the once brightly-painted walls. Number and alphabet posters cover the rooms. The building is smaller than the high school, with only eight rooms.

((Virgil Jefferson-Davis continued from ))

Sometimes you're stuck all alone.

Virgil had spent the night somewhere in the hospital, as far away from Kam as he could burrow. He slept, even though it was dangerous, but he'd found a room and barricaded it reasonably well, so he would have hopefully woken up if someone tried to kill him in his sleep. He'd woken up to the announcements.

When Jacquilyn's name had been called, he smirked. Looks like one fewer person he'd have to kill. Then he heard Gwen's name.

Virgil had picked up the nearest object to him, one of the chairs in the barricade he'd set up, and threw it across the room. The metal clanged against the wall, the ringing hanging in the air. Virgil let out a yell from the bottom of his chest. He had failed to protect both of the people in his makeshift family. His dysfunctional, disjointed, makeshift family. But they'd been with him nonetheless.

Maybe Gwen had the right idea, just take himself out. He could head to the cliffs, jump off. But that would be the ultimate failure. He had a goal, a mission. He was going to end this battle. Stop the gladiatorial show. Get the Pyrrhic victory. That was all Virgil had left.

He couldn't stay in the hospital. Nothing else on the announcements was particularly phasing; he'd liked Cassidy and both Garretts, but he wasn't particularly close to any of them. He was also surprised that Cassandra had even come on the trip; she didn't even like people.

He also heard the names of a few new killers. Andi didn't surprise him at all, given that she had a kid. Tyler also wasn't a shocker, the guy was a huge dick anyways. And Alda rage-killing someone should have happened a lot sooner, if anything.

None of them could be trusted. Virgil could see the stuff from the past that made the killers not surprising. Maybe he was projecting, but these people had it in him all along.

And so did he, but he would be above them. Hopefully.

Virgil found himself heading towards the park, hoping to ambush Andi on the way to her prize.

Virgil had camped just outside the park for a while, and Andi hadn't showed up. Virgil wanted to stay there longer, but he was getting antsy. The position wasn't defensible, and a player could come by at any moment and ambush him. He had to be a bit more careful.

So Virgil found himself in the Elementary school, holing up in a room. Again. He was hungry, he needed to eat.

And he needed to find people, get them to lay down their arms.

Virgil grabbed a desk and threw it across the room in frustration. Why was he sucking so badly?

Virgil rested for a bit; he'd long since lost the ability to keep track of time.

He had to keep moving. Sitting around wasn't going to find people. He couldn't stop this without work.

He collected his things and left.
