When she was a little girl, Rachael Langdon had always hoped to get a job that gave her the opportunity to read a lot of books, work on writing projects, and share her love of literature and creative writing with those around her. As she got older, she soon discovered that those kinds of careers required age and education to help the person to acquire those jobs. Having only just turned eighteen, Rachael had to accept that she would have to work a job that wouldn't fulfill all of her hopes, but at least could provide contacts for resumes and money to go towards projects and personal funds.

Hence, she got a job at Old Navy.

Rachael learned in April that she was accepted to the University of Washington. Since it meant she would be able to stay in Seattle and be close to her family, she decided to look for a job in town, one that she could work at while studying at school. Even though that meant that she would have to spend time folding shirts and scanning jeans, she figured it was something she could handle. At least she had air conditioning and a Starbucks nearby.

Rachael's current task was to fold and arrange a display of tank tops. It was getting warm out, and so summer clothing was starting to go on sale. Rachael just hummed to herself as she got to work.

At least I'll come out of this job as a master at folding clothes. That's got to mean something.

Still, it was a fairly decent job, so she was willing to keep at it. Her days here were quiet, so she could think about stories to write while folding clothes and stocking swimsuits.
