A Little Challenge

A quick lap around the block.

A multi-level parking garage used for mall visitors and employees. The basement tier is known for being a little dangerous at times, as many of the town's rather sketchy individuals seem to enjoy hanging out down below.

((Enter Chadd Crossen))

Yesterday was the third race in a row that Chadd had to usurp for his schooling. His accident had never quite left him the same. He had been itching for a race for a while now, and having tried to start a couple on the way to the mall to pick up his medicine, kind of felt defeated. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his keys, flipping them on the loop, catching them in his hand. He pressed the unlock button on his car with his palm, a chirp resonating through the parking garage.

The offending car was sitting a few rows away from the nineteen year old, a cherry red 2000 Audi TT. He had put so much work into that car to get it ready for his first race two years ago, and he'd kept it in pristine condition ever sense. 5 speed manual, 3.2 Liter engine, with leather interior. He nicknamed the car "Jade" initially because of it's strange teal paint job, which he re-did after about 6 months of owning the car, and the name just stuck.

He glanced around the parking lot, looking for any familiar faces, or anyone he might be able to egg onto being a first time racer. "One last look around can't hurt..." He mused to himself, pulling on the handle of his car door.

After a couple of minutes of scanning the parking garage, Chadd plopped down on the plush seat in his car. A small sigh of relief emanating from his throat as he sank back. "Well, looks like another uneventful drive... I wish that I could find someone to race again." He started up the car, the engine starting up with a roar. "There we go girl." He took a moment to glance over everything, making a note go fill her up on the way home. "Eh, it's probably a good thing no one was around anyways. I don't exactly want to run out of gas on the side of the highway again."

He shifted into drive, and peeled out of the parking garage, the car's tires drifting a little with each turn. Chadd didn't even seem remotely amused to anyone who could see his face. That's just about how he'd come to drive over the years.
