SOTF: Cyber: Armory

This is the SOTF: Cyber Armory thread. This thread will feature all items assigned to the students as part of the version's premise.

SOTF: Cyber diverts from the usual method of assignments in SOTF in that each student receives two separate assignment items: a Weapon and a Utility. A Weapon is anything intended for use as such, its purpose being to inflict damage or pain onto another person. These include firearms, melee weapons, and items designed with similar aims. A Utility is any tool that might help a given student survive; it also encompasses the genre of traditional 'joke' assignments in a version. As a result of this separation of assignments, all students will receive at least one usable item at the start.

Both of these lists—henceforth dubbed the 'W' and 'U' rosters—are sorted by alphabetical order and given a corresponding number. Any questions about how specific Weapon or Utility assignments work should be directed to the official SOTF: Cyber Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) thread.

[+] W-1. Avtomat Kalashnikova 1947 -AK-47-: W-1. — Avtomat Kalashnikova 1947 (AK-47) [7.62×39mm Soviet]

Description: A weapon that needs no introduction, the AK-47 is as iconic as it is deadly. Its famous wooden furniture is tried and true, and its internal mechanisms are infamously challenging to gum up in even the harshest conditions. Equipped with a twenty-round banana magazine and chambered for 7.62×39mm Soviet cartridges, this legendary rifle can maintain a fully automatic fire rate of at least one hundred rounds per minute—more than enough to shred anything in its thundering wake.

[+] W-2. Baseball Bat: W-2. — Baseball Bat

Description: A vintage-looking ash hardwood baseball bat. It is a notable degree weightier than it looks and exceptionally sturdy and well-built, fortified enough so that you can be sure it won't crack open when it hits—unlike the skulls the terrorists intend for you to use it on. If a given student were inclined to examine the bat's handle with a discerning eye, they would find an odd inscription incised roughly into the bat's veneer, as if someone carved letters into the wood with a knife: "CASEY 1888-1994."

[+] W-3. Chainsaw: W-3. — Chainsaw

Description: A large chainsaw with a gray blade and a large orange plastic carriage, this weapon defies both real-world logic and any existing safety protocols governing its usage. The teeth of its saw are beyond sharp, able to cut through anything short of the school's walls (even if it would decimate a real chainsaw) without a scratch. Furthermore, it activates with a single pull of the trigger cord, almost instantaneously revving up. Lastly, this chainsaw requires no supplemental fuel; it will never run out of energy.

[+] W-4. Crowbar: W-4. — Crowbar

Description: A hefty medium-carbon steel crowbar hardened on either end, with a coat of black paint, yellow labeling, and a bar code on it; all the text on the label is garbled and unreadable, as are the numbers on the bar code. The curved end is a first-class lever with a fulcrum for additional leverage and a gooseneck to remove nails; the angular end is a second-class lever. Designed initially as a tool to force two objects apart or gain a mechanical advantage when lifting an object, it is just as capable of crushing bones.

Description: A two-handed firefighter's axe with a light hardwood handle and a steel axe head; most of the axe head radiates with the vivid color of its red paint, except for the blade itself, which remains unpainted and metallic-looking. It is easily visible and stands out like a sore thumb amidst the school's muted color scheme. Designed for use by firefighters to break down windows and doors in burning buildings, this axe can do much more than that, as the various media depictions of its fighting use will attest to.

[+] W-6. Glock 17C -The Aheglock-: W-6. — Glock 17C ("The Aheglock") [9×19mm Parabellum]

Description: The Glock 17C is a polymer-framed, short recoil-operated, locked-breech, semi-automatic pistol designed and produced by Austrian manufacturer Glock Ges.m.b.H., chambered for the 9mm Parabellum (9×19mm) cartridge and with a standard magazine capacity of 17 rounds. The exterior of this particular gun has been modified and ornamented extensively; in black and white, the polymer frame depicts assorted scenes and characters from various adult mangas.

Description: A small gold box with a design similar to a briefcase, this silverware set opens via a latch on the front. When unlocked, one will find stainless steel kitchenware that resembles gold in color (but not in any other material way). This utensil set consists of six (6) large spoons, six (6) small spoons, six (6) knives, and six (6) forks. All of this set's tableware is exceptionally dull; using anything contained within as a weapon is tantamount to trying to stab someone to death with a butter knife.

[+] W-8. Heckler and Koch USP Tactical: W-8. — Heckler & Koch USP Tactical [.45 ACP / 11.43×23mm]

Description: The USP (Universelle Selbstladepistole) is a semi-automatic polymer-framed short-recoil pistol developed by Heckler & Koch GmbH (H&K); specifically, this is the USP Tactical variant, chambered in .45 ACP (11.43×23mm) and with a 12 round magazine capacity. The USP Tactical variant incorporates fully adjustable suppressor height sights, a unique left-hand threaded barrel with an O-ring, and a match-grade trigger with an adjustable trigger stop. This model has a sound suppressor equipped.

[+] W-9. Hedge Shears: W-9. — Hedge Shears

Description: A pair of twenty-three-inch-long Japanese hedge shears equipped with a solid Japanese oak hardwood handle bolted in place with rivets and mirror-polished high-carbon steel blades designed for heavy-duty pruning. While intended for use chopping through the branches of hedges and other miscellaneous shrubbery, this tool is sharp enough that it is more than capable of piercing skin, muscle, and even bone; with enough force, one could use the shears to sever fingers or even a hand.

[+] W-10. Hidden Blade: W-10. — Hidden Blade

Description: This weapon is a hidden, wrist-mounted switchblade mechanism attached to a leather vambrace, as seen in the Assassin's Creed video game franchise. This design, in particular, is taken from the fourth game in the series and, as such, does not require the amputation of one's ring finger to use the device. Instead, a pressure switch inside the vambrace deploys the blade when activated by flexing one's wrist. While sharp as a tack, this blade is fragile and likely to break or buckle under stress.

[+] W-11. Invisible Knife: W-11. — Invisible Knife

Description: A black combat knife with a steel blade serrated on one hand and a series of teeth along the back end. When drawn from its sheath, the knife cloaks itself, becoming entirely invisible to all who are not directly in physical contact with it; this includes the person who last wielded it, meaning that any loss of grip over the weapon could result in its disappearance; an assigned document recommends that its wielder exercise caution in combat scenarios, lest they find themselves disarmed and weaponless.

[+] W-12. Israel Weapon Industries Jericho 941: W-12. — Israel Weapon Industries Jericho 941 [9×19mm Parabellum]

Description: The Jericho 941 is a double-action/single-action semi-automatic pistol developed by Israel Weapon Industries and introduced in 1990. It has received frequent usage in both military service and popular media and, notably, holds the particular affection of the administrator of a moderately popular Battle Royale roleplay forum. This example is an IWI Jericho 941 F9, chambered for 9mm Parabellum [9×19mm]. It comes with several sixteen-round magazines, perfect for dispatching your foes.

Description: An astoundingly cheap-looking oiled carbon steel katana, this weapon comes with a matte black enamel scabbard and an obi to attach the sheath to your belt. Though it looks like junk, the terrorists have coded the katana to be lighter, sturdier, and considerably sharper than the blade it copies its appearance from; it performs how anime fans assume katanas work. If one inspects the katana closely, one may find a Japanese inscription reading "お握り" where the blade intersects with the tsuba.

[+] W-14. Kolibri Model 2: W-14. — Kolibri Model 2 [2.7×9mm Kolibri]

Description: One of the most diminutive guns in the world, the Kolibri Model 2 also fires one of the smallest cartridges in the world, the 2.7×9mm Kolibri. Designed by a watchmaker and advertised as a ladies' self-defense weapon, this gun has a muzzle energy of four joules, with an average person's punch measuring around three times more powerful. The firearm is enormously inaccurate as a result of its lack of rifling. As a result of its inaccuracy and weakness, this gun is more of a novelty than anything.

[+] W-15. Machete and Hockey Mask: W-15. — Machete and Hockey Mask

Description: This weapon consists of two parts. The first part is a steel machete with a wooden handle; due to its size (between a knife or a sword), it can be wielded easily as either a one-handed or two-handed weapon. The second part is a yellowed plastic hockey mask with red marks, eerily reminiscent of Jason Voorhees from the Friday the 13th franchise; there is a deliberate cut (as if slashed open) in the upper-left-hand corner of the mask, around which there is red paint as if to resemble a bloody wound.

[+] W-16. Magnum Research Desert Eagle Mark XIX -Standard-: W-16. — Magnum Research Desert Eagle Mark XIX ("Standard") [.50 Action Express / 12.7×33mmRB]

Description: One of the most famous guns in the world, used in over six hundred pieces of media, the Magnum Research Desert Eagle Mark XIX was made iconic by its slick chromed finish and potency. This particular gun is chambered for .50 Action Express rounds, with a magazine capacity of seven rounds in its detachable stick magazines, enough to blow anything short of an elephant away. Its recoil is hefty, putting the .44 Magnum to shame, though it is unlikely to break a wrist unless the user is very fragile.

This particular iteration of the Magnum Research Desert Eagle Mark XIX has no special features.

Description: One of the most famous guns in the world, used in over six hundred pieces of media, the Magnum Research Desert Eagle Mark XIX was made iconic by its slick chromed finish and potency. This particular gun is chambered for .50 Action Express rounds, with a magazine capacity of seven rounds in its detachable stick magazines, enough to blow anything short of an elephant away. Its recoil is hefty, putting the .44 Magnum to shame, though it is unlikely to break a wrist unless the user is very fragile.

This particular iteration of the Magnum Research Desert Eagle Mark XIX has infinite ammunition. As the gun is completely identical in appearance to the additional copies in play—and the recipient's manual mentions nothing of this feature—the user is left in the dark as to this feature, left to figure it out for themselves in the heat of conflict; that said, given its helpful nature, it is sure to be a welcome surprise for its recipient, should they figure it out quickly—otherwise, its actual value may end up somewhat lost on them.

As soon as one reaches the bottom of a magazine, the weapon will restock itself instantaneously; as a result, there is never any need for the user to reload a magazine placed inside the firearm. This feature ensures that the wielder will never need to swap the gun's magazine out amid battle and makes rapid-fire usage possible, only limited by how fast one can pull the trigger. That is, provided the user has the strength to control the recoil and stop the weapon from bucking right out of their hands.

[+] W-18. Military Armament Corporation Model 10 -MAC-10-: W-18. — Military Armament Corporation Model 10 (MAC-10) [.45 ACP / 11.43×23mm]

Description: Designed for use by Special Forces in the Vietnam War, the Military Armament Corporation Model 10 is a steel box from which bullets come out. Chambered for .45 ACP cartridges and utilizing a thirty-round box magazine, it is best described as a raging firehose of lead. It comes with a sound suppressor designed by Mitchell WerBell III of Sionics; the gun is so quiet that one can hear its bolt cycle as it fires. Its lack of accuracy has resulted in its description as "fit only for combat in a phone booth."

[+] W-19. Mission Crossbows SUB-1 XR: W-19. — Mission Crossbows SUB-1 XR

Description: A black polymer crossbow with orange highlights, the SUB-1 XR weighs a little over seven-and-a-half pounds and is about thirty-and-a-half inches long. It has a pistol grip with a match-grade, rolling sear dual-stage trigger with a three-pound pull, a two-stage arrow retention arm (allowing for easier reloading of arrows and increasing accuracy), a button on the side that lets you de-cock the crossbow without pulling the trigger or firing a bolt, a Hawke XB1 1.5-5x32 Scope, and a precision stock.

[+] W-20. Pattern 1796 Cavalry Sabre: W-20. — Pattern 1796 Cavalry Sabre

Description: A curved sword with a single fuller and an asymmetric point, the Pattern 1796 Cavalry Sabre sports a single knucklebow hilt. It is most famous for its use by British light dragoons and hussars during the Napoleonic Wars; however, the military forces of several other nations also adopted it. The sword's deadly edge is enough to cleave someone's head off, sharp to the point where it could kill merely by being dropped on someone. It has an iron sheathe, wood liners, and suspension rings to wear on one's belt.

[+] W-21. Picasso Asegai USA Speargun: W-21. — Picasso Asegai USA Speargun

Description: An affordable nautical speargun for murderers on a budget, the Picasso Asegai USA is an excellent choice for those looking to kill the sea's myriad creatures—or for those looking for a challenge, man (the most dangerous game). The weapon's long—28mm—black alloy barrel will provide enough intimidation to get any reasonable person to back off, while the spears that come out of it will turn your enemies into pincushions. Its stainless steel sear and line release ensure a smooth and reliable firing release.

Description: A green and black Earthwise PW20502B Pressure Washer that the terrorists have modified, this home tool is now capable of pressures far beyond its standard capabilities and can fire at strengths upwards of 3000 PSI. Furthermore, this gun can sustain thirty minutes of constant firing (despite a seeming lack of water stored inside it). Two straps on the outside allow one to wear it like a backpack, and it has wheels for pulling it quickly along the ground; nonetheless, it is heavy with bad ergonomics.

[+] W-23. SIG Sauer AG SG 552-2 Commando: W-23. — SIG Sauer AG SG 552-2 Commando [5.56×45mm NATO]

Description: A compact assault rifle of Swiss provenance designed for use by military and law enforcement personnel, the SG 552-2 Commando has a barrel shorter than its contemporaries in the 552 line that ends in an open, three-pronged flash suppressor. Chambered for 5.56×45mm NATO, the rifle has a thirty-round magazine capacity—enough ammo to end any physical confrontation before it even has the chance to begin. It also has low-profile flip-up sights with a 360 mm (14.2 in) long sight radius.

Description: A ten-pound sledgehammer of solid construction, this weapon has a thirty-five-inch particulate-filled fiberglass handle with an over-mold textured grip. Its massive metal head's flat-headed, bullet-nosed design provides a significant concentrated striking force on any target. Furthermore, its shock-absorbent collar helps to reduce impact vibrations. Unlike other hammers, the sledgehammer tends to distribute its force over a wider area (as opposed to concentrating it like most hammers).

[+] W-25. Smith and Wesson Model 29: W-25. — Smith and Wesson Model 29 [.44 Remington Magnum / 10.9x33mmR]

Description: A six-shot, double-action revolver with a shining blued surface and a wooden grip, the Smith and Wesson Model 29 was first made famous by its association with the fictional anti-hero "Dirty Harry" Callahan in the movie of the same name and often described as "the most powerful gun in the world." Although this model has a standard barrel length, it remains chambered for .44 Remington Magnum rounds, an ammo type powerful enough to blow anyone and their mother into a different universe.

[+] W-26. Springfield Armory M79 Grenade Launcher: W-26. — Springfield Armory M79 Grenade Launcher [40×46mm Low Velocity]

Description: A single-shot, break-action grenade launcher chambered for 40x46mm grenades, the M79's distinctive report saw it given the nickname "the Thumper." Though it accepts a variety of different grenade types, the terrorists have only seen fit to provide a total of five standard 40x46mm Low Velocity grenades to prevent a given student from completely obliterating their carefully crafted arena. That said, those five grenades are enough to ruin someone's day—if you can keep yourself out of range.

[+] W-27. Tennis Racket: W-27. — Tennis Racket

Description: A standard Dunlop SX 300 Lite Tennis racket, this expensive black-and-yellow-colored piece of equipment has a reduced string spacing in its center to provide greater control and a lower flex; it is medium. Its nine-point-five-ounce unstrung weight means its swing speed is fast, and its use is comfortable. Due to its lightweight design, this frame is primarily marketed towards advanced beginners and intermediate players of the sport, in no small part due to its comfort, spin, and power potential.

[+] W-28. The Klobb: W-28. — The Klobb [9×18mm Makarov]

Description: The Klobb is a fully automatic submachine gun from GoldenEye 007. Slow, noisy, and unpredictable, the Klobb is, by consensus, considered one of the game's weakest and least accurate weapons. The weapon visually resembles the Škorpion vz. 61; this resemblance is surface-level, as it works the same way as in the game. Chambered for 9×18mm Makarov, the Klobb has a twenty-round capacity. It received its name in honor of video game designer Ken Lobb for his help in the game's development.

[+] W-29. Vampire Killer: W-29. — Vampire Killer

Description: The legendary weapon of the Belmont Clan, this whip can destroy all the dark creatures of the night. As no dark creatures are present in the arena, it functions as a regular (if quite powerful) weapon, able to lash and maim easily. The design of its handle is similar to that of a cross, leading into a long chain and terminating in a ball of spikes, making it more akin to a flail than an actual whip in some regards. Despite that, the weapon's light weight is undeniably whip-like and much less heavy than realistic.

[+] W-30. ZAP Blast Knuckles EXTREME: W-30. — ZAP Blast Knuckles EXTREME

Description: A pair of brass knuckles with a rubber-coated grip handle, the ZAP Blast Knuckles EXTREME pack a nasty punch with its secondary feature: stun electrodes in the spikes of the weapon able to deliver 950K volts of electricity directly into a target. The weapon's power switch gets easily reached by one's thumb for rapid activation at a moment's notice; it also comes with a red LED light to notify when the weapon is on. Two CR123A lithium batteries power it. This one comes with a nylon carrying case.

[+] U-1. Absinthe: U-1. — Absinthe

Description: A single bottle of absinthe, this utility draw measures about 75% alcohol by volume and comes packaged in a 750ml glass bottle with a skull design. Absinthe, for reference, is an anise-flavored spirit derived from common wormwood and other plants, made infamous by its alluring green hue and sordid reputation; its psychoactive properties have been greatly exaggerated in the popular consciousness, simply being an alcoholic drink. It is currently legal to purchase in the United States of America.

[+] U-2. Additional Ammunition: U-2. — Additional Ammunition

Description: This utility is a classic-looking, nondescript black range bag with a 15-inch x 8-inch x 8.5-inch main compartment, a 12-inch x 6-inch x 1-inch exterior pocket, and three MOLLE loops. Its interior is jam-packed with enough ammunition to reload every gun assigned as a weapon twice over, as well as five additional grenades for the Springfield Armory M79 Grenade Launcher. It has a detachable shoulder strap to make it less of a burden, though its vast weight still impedes all attempts at movement.

[+] U-3. Bag of Cheez-Its: size=150]U-3. — Bag of Cheez-Its[/size]

Description: A single-serve 1.5 oz bag of Cheez-It cheese snack crackers, the terrorists have seemingly forgotten to (or otherwise deliberately chosen not to) implement this food item's actual texture and taste. As a result, it is, for all intents and purposes, identical to cardboard in both respects. Nothing indicates this fact to the recipient, making for an unpleasant and frustrating surprise when they try to eat them. These crackers are virtual objects, not food items, providing zero nutritional value when consumed.

[+] U-4. Cans of Spray Paint: U-4. — Cans of Spray Paint

Description: This weapon consists of seven generic, non-branded rattle canisters of aerosol paint sealed in aluminum. When the valve button on the top of a canister is depressed, it releases the pressure of the gas inside, and the paint comes out as a fine spray. This particular collection of spray paints consists of seven individual canisters containing one color of the rainbow: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet. Their contents are not unlimited and can get depleted with extended use, as in real life.

[+] U-5. Coins and Rings: U-5. — Coins and Rings

Description: A large brown sack. If one opens it, it contains many golden rings and coins reminiscent of Sonic the Hedgehog and Super Mario Bros., respectively. These coins and rings have the equivalent weight they would have in the real world, composed of 24-karat pure gold. The number of golden rings and coins is indeterminate, a random amount having been placed in the bag by the terrorists, but the bag weighs about ten pounds, enough to crush a skull if swung with enough force.

[+] U-6. Commemorative SOTF T-Shirt: U-6. — Commemorative SOTF T-Shirt

Description: This utility draw is a crisp, white cloth crew neck t-shirt capable of changing its size to fit the Avatar of anyone who wears it perfectly, scaling up or down to match their figure. The material feels cheap in a way that is hard to describe and has an annoying, itchy tag. A set of black text in the Comic Sans font on the front reads: "I was thrown into a death game and all I got was this stupid shirt!" The back of the shirt reads, in an identical font and color, "SURVIVAL OF THE FITTEST (SOTF)."

[+] U-7. Complete Student Roster and Armory: U-7. — Complete Student Roster & Armory (Weapons and Utilities)

Description: At first glance, this seems like an unbranded, black, rugged-cased tablet. When activated, however, one can access the game's entire student roster. The information includes all the data within school files (including a student's yearbook photographs) and any additional information collected by [████████] █████ ██ ███ ████████████ ██ ████ ██████. It also contains the contents of the entire armory as assigned to the students (weapons and utilities), with information and details on each given item provided.

[+] U-8. Diet Coke Cans, 7.5 fl oz -Pack of 10-: U-8. — Diet Coke Cans, 7.5 fl oz (Pack of 10)

Description: A standard box of ten (x10) 7.5 fl oz cans of Diet Coke, the expiration date on the box notes a date about ten days from the start of the game. The sodas within the packaging vary in terms of their carbonation: some of them are liable to explode when you break the tab, while others are entirely flat. The aluminum cans have bled somewhat into the flavor profile, as the contents taste metallic, though not so much as to be undrinkable. As a virtual item, they provide zero nutritional value.

[+] U-9. Enemy Tracker: U-9. — Enemy Tracker

Description: A dark metallic bracelet with a circular LED face, this utility's actual value is discovered by pressing the red power button and activating it. The LED screen will awaken, revealing a green, radar-reminiscent screen. From this screen, the user can "sweep" within a hundred feet of their surroundings by turning dials on the side; one sweeps clockwise, the other counter-clockwise. If a given student is within a hundred feet while their direction gets swept, the device will "ping," and they will appear as a glowing dot.

If a given student is within a hundred feet of you on a vertical axis, the device can still successfully sweep for and ping them. Students actively being tracked on the HUD will appear (labeled by their assigned student number) on the HUD to the user, even if they are not currently on the same floor as you; if they are currently on a separate floor from you, their icon will be dull (not glowing) and of a lower opacity (indicating to the user that they are on a different floor) when viewed on the HUD.

[+] U-10. Exploding Fidget Spinner: U-10. — Exploding Fidget Spinner

Description: A toy that consists of a ball bearing in the center of a flat, three-lobed structure, with metal weights in the lobes that make it spin, the so-called "fidget spinner" became a fad around 2017; this weapon is an homage to a trend that has long since died out. This one, a black fidget spinner with LED lights, contains explosives. When it gets spun forcefully, it will light up and begin to beep; when it stops spinning, each lobe will explode, resulting in three small explosions, about a third of a grenade each.

Description: A red cylindrical stored-pressure fire extinguisher with an anodized aluminum valve, wall bracket, hose, and nozzle, designed for use in extinguishing Class A (ordinary solid combustibles), B (flammable liquids and gases), and C (energized electrical equipment) fires. It weighs five pounds, enough to deal some damage if swung or thrown at someone. When the valve turns, it releases a dry chemical known as ammonium dihydrogen phosphate (ADP), which can prevent reactions and kill fires.

Description: A small bag; inside, there is a fortune cookie. If you remove the fortune cookie, another fortune cookie will appear in its place. The contents of the notes vary greatly, ranging from groan-worthy puns and incessant mockery to, on rare occasions, some genuinely helpful advice (though whether the advice in question is practical depends on the reader's intentions).

[+] U-13. Grenades: U-13. — Grenades

Description: A set of eight grenades.

Four of the grenades in the bag are fragmentation-type anti-personnel hand grenades. Each one is about a pound and a half. The grenade itself contains 1.85 oz (52 g) of TNT. Pulling the pin initiates a 4-5-second fuse, after which the grenade detonates immediately and violently. The instructions recommend that the blast radius not also encompass the grenade's user. The model seems to have gotten shamelessly copied from a video game—Fallout 4—by the terrorists. They are pineapple-shaped.

Four of the grenades in the bag are Combined Tactical Systems (CTS) Model 7290 flashbang grenades. When their pin gets pulled, a 1.5-second delay occurs, after which they detonate, producing a thunderous 165-180-decibel noise and a 6-8-million candela light output. Anyone caught in their radius will be temporarily blinded and deafened. These grenades are primarily used as less-lethal explosives by special tactical units during high-risk operations. They are black and shaped like a canister.

Description: A small, square-shaped folding silver vanity mirror, this utility is compact enough to fit inside one's hand or shirt pocket. Initially designed for low-stakes uses, such as applying makeup or other cosmetics, the hinges on the mirror are remarkably fragile; if one wanted to, one could snap them apart with bare hands alone. Its two-mirror design makes it optimal for checking corners without exposing oneself to danger or peeking behind your back without turning one's head or body around to view directly.

[+] U-15. M1911A1 Water Gun: U-15. — M1911A1 Water Gun

Description: A water gun designed to look exactly like an M1911A1 pistol; besides its internals, the gun's parts are the same as its functional counterpart, down to the markings on the sides. However, it is not a real gun; instead of bullets, it shoots a small, weak stream of water. Despite this fact, it does accept magazines and can get loaded with .45 ACP rounds as if it were a functional firearm, potentially allowing a crafty or slick recipient to perform a cunning ruse with the weapon if they were so inclined.

[+] U-16. Magnum Research Desert Eagle Mark XIX -Trash-: U-16. — Magnum Research Desert Eagle Mark XIX ("Trash") [.50 Action Express / 12.7×33mmRB]

Description: One of the most famous guns in the world, used in over six hundred pieces of media, the Magnum Research Desert Eagle Mark XIX was made iconic by its slick chromed finish and potency. This particular gun is chambered for .50 Action Express rounds, with a magazine capacity of seven rounds in its detachable stick magazines, enough to blow anything short of an elephant away. Its recoil is hefty, putting the .44 Magnum to shame, though it is unlikely to break a wrist unless the user is very fragile.

This particular iteration of the Magnum Research Desert Eagle Mark XIX is a piece of junk.

When a bullet fired from this particular gun hits a user's Avatar, it will harmlessly pass through them without dealing any damage. The weapon's bullets will still affect clothing and other objects outside Avatars as they would in ordinary circumstances. As the gun is completely identical in appearance to the additional copies in play—and the recipient's manual mentions nothing of this "feature"—the user is left in the dark as to this feature, left to figure it out for themselves in the heat of conflict.

[+] U-17. Miracle Syringe: U-17. — Miracle Syringe

Description: This utility is a vintage-looking metal and glass syringe containing a mysterious blood-red fluid; when one observes it, it seems to swirl and glow behind the syringe's glass confines. When injected into a person's Avatar, the fluid restores the Avatar to its condition approximately twenty-four hours before, fully healing any injuries or ailments suffered and sustained in that period. It does not appear to have any effect on dead bodies. The syringe only contains enough fluid for a singular usage.

[+] U-18. Non-Fungible Token -NFT-: U-18. — Non-Fungible Token (NFT)

Description: A postcard-sized picture of a weird-looking monkey.

In truth, this item is identical to the stolen Bored Ape Yacht Club #9410 non-fungible token (NFT), made famous by the "all my apes gone" tweet; it is unknown how the terrorists obtained it. If the winner of the game possesses this item at the end, they will be allowed to keep it (and the account it is currently attached to). However, due to OpenSea moderation, it cannot be traded or sold; perhaps this is less of a loss than it seems, given that it would be utterly worthless even if you could manage to send or sell it.

Description: A fifty-foot-long, one-eighth-inch-thick cord of high-strength, lightweight black polyester paracord, these heavy-duty ropes are a rugged and robust combination of nylon and braided polyethylene. A braided polymer cover surrounds the inner seven-strand nylon core. Practical, reliable, and highly resistant to anything you throw at them, these ropes can do just about everything, provided that one has the imagination to use them well.

Description: This assigned utility is an inflatable costume of Pac-Man from the Namco game Pac-Man. The costume is officially licensed; its use in the death game is not. It comes with an internal fan to inflate the costume (and keep it inflated); the fan requires four AA batteries, which the terrorists provide. The costume is made of 100% nylon material and is hand-wash only. A small tag on the side of the costume reads "MADE IN CHINA."

Description: A whole can of Mace Police Pepper Spray; this utility employs oleoresin capsicum spray to ward off foes with a range of up to twelve feet. Its formula causes respiratory distress, coughing, impaired vision, and an intense burning sensation. Furthermore, it leaves a long-lasting dye residue on the skin. Its finger-grip design improves grasping and accuracy, and its safety cap prevents accidents or misfires. This particular utility contains enough formula for up to twenty different sprays.

[+] U-22. Portal Gun: U-22. — Portal Gun

Description: The Aperture Science Handheld Portal Device—known as the "Portal Gun" to most—is the central puzzle mechanic from Portal and Portal 2. The device can, via its two triggers on its grip (hidden in the handle), manufacture two linked portals (blue and orange). Regardless of distance, any object that passes through one will instantly emerge from the other (and vice versa). It appears to be a dense white plastic composite material with metal. The ability to use it to pick up objects is disabled.

[+] U-23. Reflector Shield: U-23. — Reflector Shield

Description: A small, metallic hexagon about the size of one's hand: the center of it, on the outward side, contains a blue orb within a ring of metal; the inverse side includes a button. By pressing the button, one can create a blue holographic hexagonal shield that reflects projectiles (including bullets) in the direction they originally came from. While the weapon hails from the Super Smash Bros. series, the terrorists could not import the original model into Cyber Reality, so they have taken artistic liberties.

Each press of the button will activate the shield for two seconds. After that, there is a cooldown timer of three seconds until the shield can be used again.

[+] U-24. Roll of Infinite Duct Tape: U-24. — Roll of Infinite Duct Tape

Description:A seemingly ordinary roll of cloth-backed duct tape (as one could find in literally any hardware store across the entire country), this tape is generously coated with polyethylene and colored by the traditional silvery-gray powdered aluminum pigment. Upon use, however, one will realize that there seems to be no end to the tape, and no matter how much one unrolls it, it will never deplete, meaning that it has infinite potential uses—if the recipient is creative enough to use it properly.

[+] U-25. Short-Distance Teleporter -The Jumper-: U-25. — Short-Distance Teleporter ("The Jumper")

Description: A metallic wristband (seemingly based on a vintage Tokyoflash Scope Watch), this utility displays coordinates in a five-meter-long space represented by a green LED grid on its face. By wearing it, the user can teleport up to three meters in the direction of their choice (governed by where they are currently looking) by saying "jump" out loud. As they teleport, a small circular pink LED will flash in the corner of the device.

It has a nominal "cooldown" of thirty seconds, but one can use it multiple times in this span; two uses in a row are disorienting, three are nausea-inducing, four prove stomach-sickening, and the fifth is enough to make you fall completely unconscious. If the user attempts to teleport out of the bounds of the arena (such as into a wall) or into the same space as another participant's body, the device will beep and refuse to teleport.

[+] U-26. Surveillance System: U-26. — Surveillance System

Description: At first glance, this seems like an unbranded, black, rugged-cased tablet. When activated, however, one can access live footage and audio from a set of twenty nail-sized spy cameras (which the terrorists have included in the student's bag). These cameras can be placed anywhere in the arena; they are also fitted with motion sensors connected to the tablet, alerting the user of any ongoing events by the cameras. These cameras retain their footage to be rewatched for twenty-four hours, after which the footage gets erased to make room for the next twenty-four hours.

As the terrorists do not need these cameras themselves (being able to monitor the entire arena at once via their computer programs), students are free to destroy these cameras as they please without the risk of retribution from the game's authorities. The destruction of these cameras only impacts the Surveillance System's user. Broken cameras will have their feeds cut into static noise, and their audio will screech. After ten minutes, destroyed cameras will deactivate themselves completely.

[+] U-27. Unbreakable Riot Shield: U-27. — Unbreakable Riot Shield

Description: This utility comprises an EOD Level III Ballistic Shield (made with a steel exterior and a fiber-reinforced plastic composite interior). It also has a small ballistic blue-green glass viewport at the top. Due to its solid, robust construction, it is large, necessitating one gripping it with one hand via a wrist strap and handle on the back. A sign on the front reads, in all capital letters, "POLICE." As a result of coding by the terrorists, the shield is entirely indestructible, resistant even to explosive armament.

[+] U-28. Walkie-Talkies: U-28. — Walkie-Talkies

Description: A set of four individual walkie-talkie devices in a selection of different colors (red, orange, blue, and yellow); each one comes with a 1200mAh lithium battery and has a total use time of somewhere between two to three days on a full charge. However, there is no means to recharge them after they deplete themselves. Clear audio persists even at long distances, supporting several miles of communication range, meaning more or less the entire arena remains covered outside of specific areas.

[+] U-29. Wallhack Glasses: U-29. — Wallhack Glasses

Description: A pair of clear glasses. There is a button on the right side; when pushed, the glasses glow a luminescent green, and the user can see through every wall within fifty feet of them as if they weren't there. However, overuse is ill-advised; employing them for more than a few minutes at a time causes an immense headache that will rapidly escalate into a debilitating migraine if not depowered. They are also a fashion statement.

Description: A white plastic Nintendo Wii Remote (known colloquially as a "Wiimote"), primarily designed for use with the Nintendo Wii video game console; there is also a Wii Nunchuck provided for one to connect to the Wii Remote via the port at the bottom of the Wii Remote. It also comes with an added wrist strap to prevent it from flying out of one's hands amid play—or during a particularly heated gamer moment.

Initially, we tailored SOTF: Cyber's Armory for a maximum cast size of thirty characters, expecting to receive far fewer applications than we did. Due to the last-minute show of support that saw us rise to a possible cast size of thirty-five characters at maximum, we must add five additional Weapons and Utilities. As these are rolled separately from the others, we will place these in separate rosters, hereafter called the 'A' ('Addendum') rosters. We appreciate all of the interest we've received thus far.

Description: The Chiappa Triple Threat is a three-barrelled abomination of a break-action shotgun chambered for 12-gauge cartridges. Its three barrels are arranged triangularly, with one on top and two below it, presenting a rather menacing face to anyone staring it down. It has a single-barrel sighting picture. The entire gun fires from a single trigger, meaning a user must pull the trigger three times to shoot the barrels in succession instead of firing all three simultaneously. The stock is removable.

Description: The Exothermic Technologies Pulsefire LRT Flamethrower, a patent-pending flamethrower, is banned in Maryland for good reasons. The weapon is compact, lightweight, and entirely handheld, able to be carried in two hands like an ordinary rifle or shotgun. Its trigger is a button on the weapon's handle, which, when pressed, shoots a raging gout of fire up to twenty-five feet in the direction of the weapon's nozzle. A small shield mounted on it protects the user from the weapon's licking blazes.

[+] WA-3. Iruiru Armory Type 51 Covenant Carbine: WA-3. — Iruiru Armory Type 51 Covenant Carbine [8.7x60mm CRP]

Description: A standard weapon of the alien Sangheili infantry from Halo, the Iruiru Armory Type 51 Covenant Carbine is a semi-automatic weapon for medium to long ranges. It fires a proprietary type of 8.7x60mm caseless radioactive projectiles stored in the weapon's cylindrical eighteen-round magazines. A holographic display on the weapon's green interface indicates the number of rounds inside the magazine. Its interface also functions as a medium-to-long-range 2x scope. Its purple exterior is unmistakable.

[+] WA-4. Keyblade: WA-4. — Keyblade

Description: A weapon wielded by the Kingdom Hearts series's main characters, the Keyblade is a crucial factor in the eternal battle between light and darkness. In this game, unfortunately, it is a rather ordinary weapon imbued with no mystical powers or abilities. The key's shank is akin to a blunt metal pole; however, the key's bit is sharp to the touch, enough to cleave an opponent in two if swung with enough power. The weapon's grip and guard consist of black and yellow polymer compounds.

[+] WA-5. Lightsaber: WA-5. — Lightsaber

Description: An elegant weapon for a more civilized age, the lightsaber is powered by its internal Kyber crystal and primarily wielded by users of the Force in the Star Wars franchise. Each lightsaber is unique, but this one, implemented by the terrorists, is modeled on the specific lightsaber wielded first by Anakin Skywalker and later by Luke Skywalker. Its blade is hot enough to cut through metal like paper and will instantly cauterize any wound it creates, meaning that, to use it lethally, one must aim for vital points.

Description: A standard black nylon fabric ballistic vest with Level IIIA protection, this vest's kevlar can sustain stab wounds and bullets from handguns up to the power of .44 Magnum rounds. The vest itself will absorb the damage; nonetheless, the force of the impact will bruise the skin behind it. Thin and lightweight despite its considerable protective capabilities, this weapon can be easily concealed beneath a shirt, jacket, or coat; furthermore, it has several pockets to store miscellaneous items.

Description: A set of two bundled utilities, this utility assignment consists of a black, full-face tactical gas mask with two respirators (one on either side of its face) and four (x4) tear gas canisters. These tear gas canisters consist of a lachrymator agent commonly used in riot control, CS gas (also known as 2-chlorobenzalmalononitrile). Exposure causes considerable tear production in the eyes, a burning sensation throughout the face and throat, coughing, disorientation, and breathing difficulties.

[+] UA-3. Magnetic Gloves: UA-3. — Magnetic Gloves

Description: A pair of black tactical gloves lined with powerful electromagnets, this utility can pull and push small-to-medium-sized metal objects without direct contact, akin to a more scientific telekinesis. It can do so without any physical strain on the user; while also capable of moving larger objects, it takes significant amounts of physical exertion (albeit much less than would be used without the gloves). Beyond a certain threshold, however, doing so becomes entirely impossible for a human person.

[+] UA-4. Stealth Camouflage: UA-4. — Stealth Camouflage

Description: The stealth camouflage, hailing from Metal Gear Solid, looks like an odd-looking plastic shell; the electronic device inside can bend light around the user, rendering them virtually invisible to the naked eye. The rules of this invisibility function according to the terrorist's whims: the invisibility is as close to perfect as can be when the user is still, and if they move slowly, one can see the light bend around them as they do so. Fast movement causes the illusion to shatter as the device shuts itself down.

Description: A wrist-mounted harpoon grappling hook device, the Grappler hails from the video game known as Just Cause 2. It has two metallic blades shaped like a bull's horns on the front. It can launch a directed cable harpoon up to eighty meters away, grabbing any solid material, metal or otherwise; it can attach to buildings and vehicles. After that, the user can pull themselves towards it or (if the object weighs less than them) pull it towards them; this occurs at an extremely high velocity and speed.
