Despite only taking up a relatively small chunk of the island compared to all the other notable areas, it’s easy to get lost in this rainforest due to the towering laurel trees and circling forest paths, lined by hauntingly deep red wooden fencing on a single side. However, with knowledge that the island slopes higher the further north you go, and of a large natural spring sitting in the south-east, one should be able to leave before becoming just as much a part of the rainforest as the abnormally tiny animals that inhabit it, such as the hummingbirds or the leeches.

Her breath itched, she almost wanted to put something down her throat and scratch that wound clean from its impurities
[+] There was no-one behind her
because the dead body in front of her was just another tally.
[+] There was no-one behind her even after she looked
even if the tingling on her neck felt like a hand. Or a breath. Or a whisper.
[+] There was nothing behind her because there was nothing in front of her
since she was so good at taking lives.
[+] Her hands dug quickly
into the flesh and into the bag. The boy was dead.
[+] Because the gunshots would bring vultures
and she hoped more would come.
