The feeling of her eyelid on her eyelid. She'd almost said 'eyelids,' for a moment, but, y'know. No more depth perception. Didn't really matter anyway. She could still feel. She could still see.

A voice speaks from Verity's collar, tired and resigned, no longer making any attempt to disguise its natural accent:

"Unfortunately, Miss Stewart, you and your teammates made your beds, and I cannot help you now from having to lie in them."
There is a long moment of dead air from the mic, though it has not clicked off. Then:
"All I can tell you now is good luck, and that if we are able to meet in person, I will do what I can to direct you to the help you really need. It's beyond what I can offer you here."
