Alex Thornton:
Accidental Murder: Luke Mendoza calls out to Alex, trying to get his attention. When that fails, he fires a shot, hoping to scare Alex off, but miscalculates and instead fatally shoots him in the chest.
Deadpan Snarker: Alex is noted in his profile to be a constant joker who is so deadpan that it's very difficult for others to tell if he's being serious or not, to the point that this is listed as a potential disadvantage for him in the game.
I Just Shot Marvin in the Face: Alex dies because Luke Mendoza plays it loose with gun safety rules, forgetting that one should never point a loaded gun at anything they don't want dead.
Informed Attribute: While it's not too uncommon for this to crop up in characters, especially early outs, Alex stands out because most of his characterization is this—despite having a detailed family history and personality in his profile, he lives only two posts in the game, uttering two words before being gunned down.
The Stoner: Alex has a tendency to celebrate his successes by getting high... even when the success in question is decidedly minor.
