Actions have consequences [Fin]

This forest stretches far across the island, taking up a good chunk of it's landmass. There are a few well beaten dirt paths criss-crossing throughout, some obviously once used for some kind of vehicles. For the most part however, other than these roads the forest is relatively untraveled, most coming to the island for the more exotic features.

((Timothy Walker continued from Whatcha Gonna Do))

Timothy ran all the way from the Ski Resort laughing. Howling really. How he wasn't followed, he wasn't sure. All he knew was that his time as somebody who was still alive metaphorically in this game was over. Everyone, EVERYONE, would be gunning for him now. He was a murderer. Sticking with a murderer was tantamount to suicide. Ergo, he was screwed.

Best then to revel in the glory that comes with being the villain, right?

After a couple of minutes of laughing and running, Tim was tired. He was exhausted physically, spent emotionally, and utterly freaking done with his stupid evil cackling thing. There was no one following him. There was no reason for him to give himself away any more. He stood... well he didn't really know where he was. All he knew was that he wasn't where he was before. That was one more thing he had left behind. His daypack. The number one thing he needed to survive. He had eaten on the way to the Ski Resort, but just a little. More like a snack while reading that gun manual. Now... now he didn't have any food, water, or anything else he needed.

Now he was really screwed.
Couple hours searching for shelter. He had reached the forest, more like the edge really. He didn't want to risk heading in at the moment without anything to fall back on except his gun. He didn't have his hat or glasses either, and his suit was stained with Peter's blood. No way anyone would mistake him for a weary wanderer, even though he was. He found what seemed to him like a good spot and rested. Soon as his head hit the meager ground he called a bed, for the moment, he was out.

Renée had the same cards as he did. Community the same, of course. But her dealt cards were an ace and king as well. Tied it up, leaving them to split the winnings for the round as the losers packed up and left. Peter passed Tim by and said he'd be seeing him real soon. "Don't think so pal. I don't think so. I plan to stay here till the end."

The cards were gathered up and put aside. Tim scowled as Renée took her share of the pot. She had taken his moment of glory, and shoved it into his face. Play continued regardless of the feelings of the players. Tim was dealt bad hand after bad hand, folding each time. No way was he playing with a crappy hand again against that good an opponent.

He was losing it. Every time the ante came to him he didn't get anything back. His winnings weren't going to keep him afloat forever. More and more people got eliminated. People he didn't know or care about left one after one. He never saw what happened to the people who left the table... but the security guys who escorted them out suggested something not so good.

After all, the money they were betting was borrowed. Not a single cent actually belonged to them.

The announcement woke him up. The third one. The one he'd be on. Timothy Walker was going to be named as a killer to the rest of the contestants and there was nothing he could do about that. "Screw it. No sense crying over that now." He got up, dusted himself on, and went on his way. He payed attention to what was said, mostly to the names of other killers. If he met up with them, he'd have to fire first before they got a chance at him.

He finally heard his name, and praise for his efficiency. He stopped. Efficiency? Those morons thought THAT was efficiency!?! He angrily furrowed his brow. As luck would have it, he had stopped right in front of a camera.

The moment he noticed it, his demeanor changed. He smoothed his hair, tried to clean the dirt of his face. He had an audience to speak to.

"Well ain't that a kick in the head, huh? My name's on the announcements and I get to talk to you back home right afterwards. If that ain't lady luck saying go right on ahead then I don't know what is. Well, it's been a while since we've spoken hasn't it? I must look like a right mess. No hat, no glasses, covered in blood that ain't mine, and tired as hell. That ain't right. You deserve a guy who knows how to provide for you."

He grinned, and whipped the gun out, holding it to side of his head. "Right about now I've got half a mind to just blow my brains out and be done with it. But that isn't fair to you back home now is it? No sir, it ain't. I'm a villain now, and a villain knows how to put on a good show. I'm out of my mind. Out of my mind. Out of my mind and I don't care. So seeing as how that's the case, I feel I must apologize for what went on back in the Ski Resort."

He didn't want to bring that back up, but something in his head clicked and wouldn't let him leave it alone. "Ladies, don't get the wrong idea. I ain't into the kind of shit that went down there. Tim the rapist just don't suit my style. Believe me when I say, it was a moment of weakness. Some pretty blonde skirt shows up day one and I'm thinking I'm in luck to be with such a beauty. That ain't bad in and of itself. But dwelling on that alone while allowing paranoia to set in and end up snapping made it bad, real bad. So my apologies to every girl, and guy, out there that had to see that. I fell for some nobody," he cringed inside the very moment he said that word, "and didn't have the sense to see it wasn't going anywhere. I'm sorry. Now... what I'm not sorry about is killing that poor bastard Pete. Truth be told, I hated him. He may not have deserved to die, going by the reactions of the others, but I'll be damned if I didn't want him to."

"I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm a dead man, and I know it. I'm the villain of my story, and I know in the end the villain doesn't get away. I tried my luck at survival, but my lady wouldn't have it. She wanted me to be the bad guy, so I will. That's what I'm gonna do. For all of you back home, please follow my descent into insanity and death as I fight for your amusement and enjoyment. This is Timothy Walker, gangster gambler extraordinaire," he smiled and waved the gun "And this is my right hand man, Dillinger. 20 bucks if I make it back home to the first person to tell me what's wrong with me naming this gun after that guy."

"Well, that's all for now folks. I'll try and get back to you soon after my next kill. I promise this next one will be a doozy. Aiming for a headshot here folks. Fingers crossed." He pointed the gun back at his head and mocked pulling the trigger. The safety was back on anyway, since he turned it back on before he found his resting spot. He put the gun back into a neutral stance and clicked the safety off again
His idiotic speech done, Timothy Walker walked off and kept to his thoughts. Kathy Clements was first and foremost on his mind. Like hell he'd forget his first real crush he'd actually gotten anywhere, even if was all in his head, with. Secondly, Renée was on his mind as well. Avoid that angry broad at all costs. And finally, shoot first and ask questions later when dealing with other people. Best to avoid playing the nice guy anymore.

Tim knew he was going insane. He had snapped, lost it, gone ape, and all manner of synonymous idioms for going crazy. Maybe. He wasn't sure. Was knowing that you were crazy grounds for being crazy? Wouldn't a crazy person think they were getting saner? "Dammit." He said to no one in particular. This stupid train of thought was giving him a headache.

Whatever. He was the villain now. He had to be, because lady luck said so. He had to live as long as he could and keep his fans entertained by mercilessly slaughtering other innocent kids and gleefully gloating over his station above them. That was what villains did, right? "Fuck, I don't know. I don't know. WHY IS THIS SO GODDAMN DIFFICULT!?!"

He punched a tree. Hard. Hard enough to start bleeding. The movies all made it look easy, so why wasn't it easy? Why was being a villain so hard?

(Alexis Allwell continued from Banhammer'd)

Lexi had kept running, later slowing to a jog, and then walking once she was away from that horrific beach. Sidney was dead, and David was...had run at that girl and was shooting and they both had guns, and...and she didn't know what had happened after that.

She had made her way into a forest now, not the jungle one where she had woken up. The danger zone. This different one that was more 'normal' even though she had never been one to go around the woods anyway.

What was she going to do? What was she going to do? She didn't know. David could be...could be dead. And Chelsea had poofed, and Sidney was dead. It was so weird, only a few days before she was back at the academy hanging around with Ashley, Cassie, and Katrina. Now she was stuck on death island on her own with no one helping her now. She was alone for the first time since she woke up, when she had wandered through the rain forest before running into Tiffany and Odile. The dead girl and the killer.

She needed to think. She sat against a tree, opening her pack in front of her. Time to drink water. And think. Think of what to do now.

The birds were making small noises here and there, a few sounds of wings fluttering whenever he got to close to where they were and they moved. It was almost beautiful, the serenity of this place. But the dissonance of the serenity when compared to Timothy's mindset was so stark he couldn't really focus on how nice it was to be alone.

He trudged along, gun in hand, going over and over again in his head exactly what he did wrong back in the Ski Resort. First off, he did something he shouldn't have with Kathy. Next, he wasted three shots on Peter. He hadn't killed Renée and instead opted to run like a coward. And of course he had left his stuff behind as well. Finally, he hadn't killed Lynn and taken her bulletproof vest, which would surely have come in handy if he had it.

"So many things I did wrong. Why is it you don't see what you did wrong until after you've already done it?" A faint smile crept on his face. He wasn't cut out for this kind of thing. Sure he was a killer, but not a good one. There was no way he'd last in a real fight. Especially if his opponent were armed with a gun as well. His best hope was to move about the area, take potshots at helpless individuals, and try and get 10 kills before the only people left were expert players.

It was with this chain of thought that he stumbled across a girl sitting by a tree in the forest. His smile grew wider. "Why hello there doll. Nice to see another face out here. Hey, how you doing?"

He raised the gun at her. Once more he felt the rush of power that came with having a gun pointed at someone who couldn't possibly fight back. "God it feels good to be the bad guy."

A voice echoes loudly from Alexis's collar...

"BACK OFF YOU [Censored]! Lexi you poor girl! He's like the [Censored] [Censored] who TORTURED MY SISTER! If that little [Censored] wants to cooperate, he'd put that thing away! You be STRONG. Players are WEAK!"

Lexi hadn't been thinking long when Tim who had been in a class, science maybe? It didn't matter because he was talking and it sounded nice. Maybe she could trus-wait he had a gun! Images of what had happened to Sidney not long before flashed through her mind.

And now her collar was screaming, her mentor protecting her? Be strong. Be strong. Be strong. She stood up, ready to run, her eyes scanning to see if he was off balance.

She couldn't die now. She needed to find out if David was okay. She had never had her first kiss, and she at least deserved that!

For a moment, Tim was startled as the girl's collar just blared obscenities and other stuff that wasn't helping his decision-making at the moment. The girl, Lexi according to the collar-person, bolted straight up. He was not about to lose control of the situation.

"SIT RIGHT BACK THE HELL DOWN!!!" Timothy yelled, his smile now turned into one of bared teeth in the most unhappy manner. "NO ONE TALKS TO ME LIKE THAT. NO ONE TALKS TO ME LIKE THAT!" He stomped the ground with his left foot. "YOU WANT ME TO BLOW YOUR GODDAMN HEAD OFF, BECAUSE IF THAT'S THE WAY IT'S GONNA BE THEN I'M ALL GODDAMN FOR IT!"

His eyes widened, his breathing was irregular, and Timothy realized he was losing control of himself. He slapped himself with his open hand. "D-dammit. No. Stay calm. Stay cool. Be strong Tim, be strong. Do over." He twisted his mouth back into the wicked smile he had on before. "I'm really trying my best to stifle my anger right now baby. Please, don't be alarmed. I ain't here to shoot you unless you turn out to be a problem. You ain't a problem are you?" He tapped the ground with his left foot.

"Collar bi- err, broad, wants me to cooperate? Sure, you bet I will. Unlike the clowns and loser running around the place, I ain't a monster. I'm a guy with class, style." He waved his left hand around in what he thought would be a dignified-like manner. "Unfortunately, I'm still a killer, so the gun stays. You and me are gonna talk things out babe. Ok? So turn that pretty face of yours this way and don't even think about running. Else I'll shoot you in the back, take your crap, and leave you to bleed out here." He narrowed his eyes. "Got it?"

(Vincent Sullivan continued from Know Your Enemy)

Vincent felt as if he had left the Ski Resort on a high note, he may not have really achieved anything there that he couldn’t have anywhere else, but nonetheless he had never quite felt so satisfied as he did now at any other point in the game.

As Vincent stomped through the forest in his bright orange anti-camouflage t-shirt and his hidden guns and wooden oar, he wondered how Karen was feeling. Had his last little speech managed to finally put a dent in that stoic façade of hers? Would she be rushing to the Ski Resort looking for him, only to find a building occupied only by a single corpse?

Whatever the answers to those questions they weren’t important now; or at least not as important as the voice he could hear yelling through the trees ahead of him. Doing his best to at least make himself quiet as he approached the commotion, Vincent arrived on the scene just in time to see some guy with a gun slap himself in the face.

Luckily the guy with the gun was looking the other way and the girl he was pointing it at was presumably more focused on the barrel in her face than on him, bright orange or not. Even if she did see him, it wasn’t like she was in a position to do anything.

As Vincent stood there, partly hidden behind a tree, two trains of thought went through his mind. First; this guy was a threat, a self identified killer with a gun and – assuming it wasn’t all talk – the will to use it. Secondly; was this guy nuts? He was certainly off, maybe a little unhinged. There were plenty of killers on the island, but this guy might be one of the few genuinely psychotic individuals out here and the fact he had a gun to go with that only made him more of a danger.

Still, Vincent had the advantage here; two guns, a bullet proof vest and the element of surprise – oh, and his sanity – all advantages that would add up to an easy kill if he decided to attack this guy.

The only problem here was the girl; thought she really shouldn’t have been. This was a perfect opportunity here; shoot the guy in the back and then, while the girl is still wiping blood of her face, shoot her too. Two more contestants eliminated from the game and two more kills to his own growing tally.

Even so, the idea of shooting an unarmed girl like that, or even just shooting someone in the back? It didn’t sit when with him. So Vincent placed his oar against the tree, already kicking himself for what he was about to do and pulled the Colt Anaconda from his right pocket, stepping around the tree and into plain view before pointed the large revolver at the guys back.

“Class? Style? The idea of you having either of those is only slightly more believable than you being able to kill someone. Now why don’t both of you turn this way or else I’ll shoot both of you in the back”

All thoughts of first kisses were gone as Tim started yelling his head off at her. She sat down. No I don't want my head blown off nononononono. Then he calmed down. Stopped yelling at her. But oh God is he talking to himself?

He was, but then he was addressing Lexi again. The gun wasn't going away. That wasn't how it was supposed to go! Guns killed people! Sidney had been killed by a gun and she had seen it and...and it was horrible!

"Go-got it," she answered.

Then another boys voice, someone to save her? Maybe, she really really hoped so. That's when his last words came out, she could get shot by him too. But maybe, just maybe she could run away if they got mad at each other.

Please...pretty please

Timothy's eyes widened as he heard the other boy's voice. He had been ambushed! How could this have happened? There was no way, just no way that he could have been outsmart—

His eyes darted to the girl. "You. This was your plan wasn't it?" Completely ignoring the fact that the new boy was not at all affiliated with Lexi, Tim gave her his greatest death glare. He turned to face the new boy. "So that's it huh? She plays the innocent all alone and then you swoop in and take out anybody who threatens her." He lowered the gun.

"But see that ain't gonna fly with me, no sir. And I resent the implication that I have neither class nor style. I've got plenty of both my friend. As for the will to kill somebody, maybe you'd like to talk to Peter Campbell-oh-wait-you-can't-cause-he's-dead." Tim smiled again. It was then he noticed the bulletproof vest that Vincent had.

"Met up with Lynn did ya? Killed her I bet. How else would you have that vest? So a killer's got another killer cornered. Heh, okay. I'm at your mercy sir." He completely ignored Lexi now. All his attention was on Vincent.

"Last I left Lynn was at the Ski Resort. You ain't been there have you? Seen my hat there? Because I'd really like it back." He grinned once more, his sanity completely out to lunch.

This guy just did not shut up did he? Every time Vincent even thought of opening his mouth to reply this guy cut him off; after a while Vincent was happy to just sit back and let him tire himself out, after all he was revealing quite a lot of potentially useful information.

First off, Vincent now had a the name of the person this guy supposedly killed – Peter something – and while he vaguely remembered the name from the last announcement it meant nothing to him otherwise and he couldn’t remember the name of the killer. Then again, this guy also said he had just come from the Ski Resort; maybe the body Vincent found up there was this Peter, which would make this guy his murderer. That did change things slightly, not much but it did.

He was a little annoyed when the other guy spotted his vest under his shirt – Vincent made a mental note, being psychotic didn’t make you unobservant – and he had even been able to make the link between that and him being Lynn’s killer.

So he had met Lynn before and while he didn’t seem too upset to find out she was dead – the nutcase seemed more concerned about his hat – Vincent couldn’t dismiss the idea that he might pull the trigger and get revenge. And since he knew about her vest he would know to aim for the head.

Vincent started walking in a circle around Tim, also ignoring Lexi in favour of keeping his gun and his eyes locked on the bigger threat; if nothing else he could make himself a moving target while he kept this guy talking.

It occurred to Vincent that if this guy had been at the Ski Resort with Lynn and this Peter guy then he might know something about his Orange teammate that was supposed to be ‘north’ as his mentor so helpfully put it. Shouldn’t be too hard to get this guy to spill, he did seem to like to hear his own voice a lot.

“No, no hat. There was a dead body though; I guess that was Peter? What happened, did you run into him and Lynn up at the resort and decide to try your hand at this ‘killing’ thing everybody’s talking about? Didn’t go so well did it; you kind of fucked up in fact. So much for style. Bet there was a whole group of people you let get away from you, wasn’t there? You can tell me, I can keep a secret. I’ll even shoot her over there so that it stays just between you and me. Who else did you let get away from you?”

Tim glared at her, voicing accusations. "Wh-what? I don't even recognize him!" she shrieked out before the thought of both of them having guns made her quiet down. Then they started talking...and talking to each other.

Maybe this could work...

She took one step away. Then another. Maybe she could do it, get far enough away to duck behind a tree. Then she would just run. All out.

(OOC: Skipping Lord_Shadow since he’s away)

As Vincent waited for Tim to respond, he began to grow a little nervous as the gravity of the situation began to set in. He may already have gotten in over his head here; this was a person who knew about his vest, knew about his past kills and was seemingly unfazed by them and who had a gun. Individually, or even all three together, those facts didn’t bother him, but the fact this guy was obviously insane, which is another way of saying unpredictable, made Vincent nervous.

The other three traits on a sane person and Vincent would still be willing to fight them; they could be intimidated, they could be predicted and they could be beaten. This guy, this guy was more dangerous than that and frankly, Vincent wasn’t sure it was worth the risk.

If he had a better gun, something like a shotgun or a submachine gun like Jonas’, rather than just another pistol – and a pretty wimpy looking one at that – and Vincent might be interested. If this person had done anything against him, killed a teammate or pissed him off back in the real world, and Vincent would be interested. As it was this guy was not worth killing for the sake of killing, not when Vincent had said himself he wasn’t bothering with that ten kills shit.

Out of the corner of his eye he saw Lexi slowly making her way away from them, one cautious step at a time, and thought that maybe she had the right idea. Vincent would wait for her to make her move before he made his; wait until she made a break for it, hopefully use the sudden move to distract Tim and then crack him over the head one way or the other and make a run for it as well.

Let someone else deal with this psycho. Unless this nut did something to make himself a serious threat to Orange team’s victory, or did something to make Vincent his enemy, Vincent wasn’t going to risk his life to kill him.

Lexi had moved far enough. Tim and that other guy were far enough away that she could run now, she thought. Her knees wobbled nervously. She turned back for a moment.

No, just go.

She took off.

It was difficult trying to watch someone out of the corner of your eye without alerting the person you were looking straight at, but since Tim didn’t seem to notice Lexi walking away Vincent must have managed pretty well.

Vincent himself happened to be standing on the opposite side of Tim from Lexi when she made her break for it, looking right in her direction, so he saw it as soon as she started running. Deciding this was his cue Vincent started talking, cutting off Tim before he could even get started.

“Damn, looks like I’ll have to settle for just killing you for now. That girl sure can run though, guess she has a lot of motivation to get out of here”

Whether Tim took the bait or not, whether or not that comment was enough to get through to Tim’s crackpot brain and distract him, Vincent lunged forward, lashing out with the revolver in his hand and aiming to slam the handle down on his forehead. He could have just shot him, he should have just shot him, but Vincent was just thinking about what would go wrong if he missed or didn’t kill on the first shot and Tim fired back. Besides, Vincent was a street fighter, a brawler, he wasn’t used to firing or even holding a gun; when it came down to it, when he had to react instantly, his first reaction was still to just clobber someone.

Vincent didn’t stop to see if the hit did anything or if he even hit at all, he started running as soon as his arm came down in the same direction Lexi was heading, even though the girl was long gone by now.

Fortunately Vincent was wearing his bag on his back during that whole debacle. Unfortunately he had left his oar leaning against a tree when he first confronted Tim and his path was not taking him in exactly the wrong direction. He would need to get his hands on a melee weapon sometime in the future; gun weren’t all that good for hitting people with.

Deranged, crazed, completely insane. All those described Timothy Walker right now. But unobservant did not. Despite his loss of sanity, Tim never lost his observant nature. This guy was watching something else that was going on. Lexi came back to Tim's mind. She must be setting herself up in a position to attack. Not a problem, just flip around and peg her in the face and she's done. Tim was sure going to surprise here when he did that.

“Damn, looks like I’ll have to settle for just killing you for now. That girl sure can run though, guess she has a lot of motivation to get out of here"

When those words left that boy's mouth, Tim momentarily lost his attention to him in order to find Lexi. She was booking it. Gone, she was gone faster than he thought someone could ever be gone. That distraction was enough for Vincent to rush him.

The other boy brought his revolver down on Tim's face... hard. Timothy let out a grunt as he stumbled back and fell over. Vincent took off the same as Lexi did. Tim watched him run as he slowly slipped into unconsciousness. "What a moron, leaving me alive." He was bleeding from his forehead, the blow had done good damage.
Tim awoke what must have been minutes later. Not enough to be able to catch up to them, but not too much in order for him to guess he suffered great brain damage from the trauma. He blinked and groaned. "Worst nap I ever had."

He was a little wobbly, disoriented. It took him a moment to find his center of gravity. He looked back to where the last camera he saw was. He gave it a weak grin. "Not my finest moment. I promise I'll do better next time."

He staggered for a few steps, the bleeding on his head was more or less okay now, but there was still blood on his face. He must have been quite a sight, a deranged boy in a blood-stained suit with a face to match, hair all wild. Not the way a proper villain looks at all.

No, there was nothing proper about this villain.
