Zoom, Kick, Persuasion, Tech

The Aquarium-Museum combo may not be as grand or as attractive as the other buildings on the island, but it's size has made it rather easy to maintain and looks rather well kept-together. It's compacted well, having only three aquarium tanks that are now almost empty, only having ocean water to fill it up. The museum half is mostly decorated with the history of the actual resort and the Gant family themselves, but it also commemorates a good number of memorabilia from 1920 to 1959.

Anzu had to admit, she probably should have expected Sarah to immediately launch herself into the mother of all violent hugs. Still, even as the wind was knocked out of her, Anzu was for once far too happy to even be mildly peeved at Sarah. Shit, what even were the odds of finding two of her best friends in such short succession?

"I'm just as glad." Anzu whispered back to Sarah before the hug was broken off. As Sarah stepped back, Anzu was able to get her first clear look at the girl, spotting the rainbow bandanna that indicated she was teammates with Ashley. Anzu wasn't exactly sure how to feel about this. Sure, it was good that, theoretically, at least two of her friends could get out alive, but it also made her amber bandanna feel even more out of place.

Fuck it, this isn't the time or place to dwell on this shit.

She had found two of her friends, and that was all that mattered. Anzu shrugged in response to Sarah's question. "Not much, honestly. We found each other a while back and have pretty much just been wandering around ever since. How've you been doing?" Her gaze was drawn to the rather conspicuous figure of Chip. "And, um, what's the story behind the potato head?"

Ashley rubbed her eyelids as she listened the two behind her talk. The eccentricities were gonna be a handful for sure, if not mind-numbingly painful. She made a little groaning sound at the thought of it. The highlights of being friends with a musician.

A deep breath exhaled out of her nostrils, and Ashley tried her best to remain zen. Zen was peace, zen was love, zen was li...eh, nah, that's too corny to be a motto, even she realized that. She began tapping her foot and sharpened her stare across the aqua-museum, knowing she had to stay committed to her self-inflicted role of lookout.

Meanwhile, her ears twitched as she heard the word potato-head and the questioning of it. Looked like it was going to be one of those days.

Nothing bad had happened to Anzu since they'd been dropped into SOTF. That made Sarah feel better, she wasn't sure what she would have done if something bad had happened to any member of Scarlet Devil Mansion. It sounded melodramatic in her head but it was true and that was the important part.

"Not much has happened with me, woke up on a beach, met some guy called Ramón," Sarah put on as much of a suave accent as she could as she said Ramón's name. "And then I met...Eden."

She'd left Eden behind. Ah...crud. How did she explain that? Oh I just left a friend behind in a game of life or death. No biggie, she's a big girl. While I ran off crying like baby I left my friend with a guy with a gun.

"But...err...but I...kinda broke down and ran off." Real smooth Sarah. "Aannnywaaay this guy," She held up the potato head. "Is called Chip and he is my weapon slash mascot." While outwardly Sarah was smiling again, inside she was freaking out over the fact she had left Eden. She hadn't even been thinking about it at the time, she had been too busy breaking down.

But on the other hand, she had found Anzu and she peeked past Anzu to get a look a Ashley, noticing her bandanna for the first time, and she had a teammate. She just hoped Eden would be alright. Right now however things were looking up in a major way. Besides her being the worst friend in the world. Obviously she'd have to apologise to Eden as soon as she saw her next.

For now though, she would enjoy the time she had with one of her best friends.

A bright voice resounds from Ashley's collar.

"Hail potato."

Urgh, Sarah had run into Eden? Anzu had to admit, she wasn't exactly broken up over Sarah not bringing her along. Life on SOTF was too short to spend being infuriated by the same assholes who annoyed you during normal school life, after all.

What was far more troublesome was Sarah's admission of breaking down. It wasn't exactly surprising, Sarah wasn't the sort of girl who would thrive on SOTF. It didn't make Anzu worry any less as her friend hurriedly tried to shift the subject. As much as Sarah tried to downplay it, it was obvious that she wasn't feeling at all good about leaving her friend behind. Shit, as much of a bitch as Eden was, Anzu would have gladly tolerated her presence if it meant that Sarah's mind was at ease.

For now, though, all Anzu could really do was play along with Sarah's happy act, and be there for Sarah when she needed her. "Heh, nice. I'm sure that with Chip at our side, things are going to go nicely for us." A far-too-chipper voice from Ashley's collar seemed to agree. Anzu gave the collar a bit of a look. What the hell was Ashley's mentor smoking to make wasting a comment on something that inane seem like a good idea?

Well, there were far worse things the mentor could have said. At least the relieved atmosphere was still intact. Anzu turned to face both her friends. "It's getting sort of late. We should probably try to find somewhere a bit nicer to spend the night. I mean, hey, if we're lucky, we might run into Caroline or Val on the way." There wasn't any dissent, so the group made their way out into the day.

What little color Ashley had in her eyes became dulled and lifeless once her mentor spoke to her, not even remotely silenced by her team bandana covering her collar. This was the woman who was assigned to help her, protect her, teach her, keep her safe.

Hail Potato.

Ashley barely responded for when Anzu had decided the need for a change in scenery. She could only stumble after, her spirit weakened as she began to think of the many possibly ways of dying that waited for her, knowing well that one of them had to be coming for her.

The barrel of her gun tasted chalky.

Anzu went along with the whole Chip thing pretty easily all things considered. It was nice of her at least. Normally Anzu was the one who was the straight-faced slightly grump/angry one. Being SOTF changed things like that Sarah guessed.

Then Ashley's collar spoke.

Their mentor even managed to catch Sarah off guard. Which when it came to general silliness and stupidity was hard to do if she did say so herself. Sarah stood confused for a second before she grinned and burst out laughing. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all? She'd found Anzu, and Ashley was on her team. All she really needed to do was find Valerie and Caroline. Then she could meet up with Eden and everything would be perfect.

"All hail Chip! Mightiest of the potatoes!" Sarah said with a shake of her head. Her smile had firmly returned so when Anzu suggested they move out Sarah nodded her agreement and stuffed Chip back into her bag. She didn't have a better plan and it was true about them maybe being able to find Valerie and Caroline.

"Ok sure, let's move out!"

2/4 of the band was together, now she just needed to find the other two.

"Where are we going? Who knows!"
