SOTF: U Profile Guide

#1

Post by Shiola »

The profile template of SOTF: U is written as an academic dossier, documented by researchers working for Janus-Hayes and the University of Cascadia.

Name: Your character’s full name and any nicknames or aliases. Nothing too silly or fantastical, please; staff may request changes, and anything out of the norm should be discussed and justified in the biography section.
Age: Your character’s age. As the characters are students of the University of Cascadia, we expect the age of the characters can vary much more than a standard version of SOTF. However, it’s advised that one avoid extremes, such as a nonagenarian who might not be inclined to travel to a two-week retreat north of the arctic circle. Students below the age of majority must have signed parental consent to go on the excursion.
Gender: Male, female, or other by default. Pronouns go here! This is documented by the researchers on the basis of self-identification; anatomical particulars would only end up in the autopsy reports.
Field of Study: The program that your character is pursuing at the University of Cascadia. U of C is a large, publicly funded research University and has a very wide variety of programs and avenues of study. It also has a reputation for being very generous with grants, and is considered quite accessible regardless of financial status.
Physical Description: Describe, in detail, what your character looks like. Please be as descriptive as possible, such that anyone reading your profile can picture your character vividly. Make sure to include height, weight, hair and eye colors, a facial description, and the outfit your character was wearing when they left for the retreat. Consider that the island’s location is known to the characters, and that they would be encouraged to dress accordingly.

Background:
  • A point-form biography telling us a bit about your character.
  • This should be a bullet point list that covers major life events, their past, personality, likes and dislikes, or general outlook on the world.
  • Anything that makes your character stand out or anything you deem important or influential to your character should be listed here.
Skills and Interests: In this section, list what skills or interests your character possesses. This can be anything from volunteer work, to hobbies, to professional experience.

Assets: What would give your character an edge in surviving the experiment? This can be anything from a personality trait, to specific training or knowledge that they possess.
Limitations: What would put your character at a disadvantage when it comes to surviving the experiment?

Participants will be assigned a number as the test begins, following this formula: P01, P02, P03, P04, and so on.
