Name: Jacob Starr
Gender: Male
Age: 17
School: Colehurst Secondary School
Hobbies and Interests: Various martial arts, fitness, volunteer work

Appearance: Jacob is a relatively tall boy, at 6'1", and weighs about 170lbs. His face is relatively unremarkable, with almond-shaped blue eyes, thin eyebrows, a short nose, and a small mouth. He is Caucasian, with a somewhat pale complexion. He's relatively muscular, as would fit a boy interested in fitness and mixed martial arts, but has an athletic build that would suggest a soccer or basketball player, much to his chagrin. He keeps his straight black hair slicked back with pomade most of the time, but occasionally lets it run wild if he's in a hurry to get ready, and his fashion consists mainly of graphic tees and blue jeans.

Biography: Jacob Alexander Starr was born to loving parents Michael Starr and Jennifer Starr on January 20, 1994, in Highland Beach, California. His early childhood was fairly unremarkable; he grew up in a relatively affluent family, with a policeman for a father and a stay-at-home mother, and was a bit of a loner as a child. In the post-Columbine world, this got him pulled aside by counselors in elementary school plenty, but they always let him go after finding nothing particularly wrong with him.

At the age of eight, his dad started signing him up for martial arts classes, and by the age of sixteen he had become a first-degree black belt in the Shotokan-ryu style of karate, in addition to dabbling in Muay Thai, Krav Maga, and judo. While he never attained a high enough skill in Muay Thai or judo to be able to compete and Krav Maga was taught to him as a noncompetitive martial art, he made quite a name for himself regionally in karate tournaments, with a fairly impressive win record. With this came impressive willpower and physical fitness, as his training required him to work out outside of scheduled practice sessions to have any hope of advancing.

In middle school, he became somewhat more social and started making a few friends here and there, mostly with other martial artists. With this increased social awareness, he began to notice the rampant bullying at his middle school, which did not sit well with him. Jacob had been taught, by both his father and his sensei, that everyone (even those less skilled than you) deserves some modicum of respect, so seeing people be bullied by the "strong" among his class outraged him, and he began to seek out instances of this so he could teach the bullies a very hard lesson. While he frequently got in trouble for fighting as a result of this, his punishments were almost always extremely lenient due to the circumstances; he never fought at school, meaning consequences couldn't reach him there, and although he spent a couple of days in juvenile hall one summer and attracted a few citations for fighting outside of school, the vast majority of the time he would simply be released to his parents and receive very little punishment due to the specific nature of his activities.

Throughout his school years, Jacob made excellent grades and became a very literate, knowledgeable young man. It would often surprise people that such a physically imposing, quiet person could make such good grades, particularly with regards to his English and history classes; he was one of the few people in his entire high school to have a courseload consisting of almost entirely AP classes and still make good grades, and by his junior year he had begun having great fun sneaking in obscure literary references when speaking to see if anyone caught them. Unsurprisingly, not many students were that well-read, so it was rare for someone to catch one of his little jokes unless it involved a famous work like A Tale of Two Cities or Slaughterhouse-Five.

In addition, he began doing charity work for organizations such as the Salvation Army and the local food bank during his high school years, and a large portion of the money he got from working various part-time jobs went towards charities like Child's Play, Doctors Without Borders, and the American Red Cross. He does this mainly out of a sense of personal duty, as he feels that those who are well-off should support those who have fallen on hard times.

Advantages: He works out often and is a fairly skilled martial artist, giving him an edge against people who aren't. His strong willpower and sense of justice means that, depending on the situation, he may keep going where others would give up simply to prevent a murderer or rapist or other unpleasant sort of person from defeating him.
Disadvantages: His combat skill is almost entirely limited to martial arts, meaning he won't get much mileage out of any weapons that require more skill than "swing at person." In addition, he's potentially too nice to actually kill anyone who isn't either a direct threat to him or simply cartoonishly mustache-twirling evil, meaning he isn't likely to rack up a significant body count.
