International - Daypacks

#1

Post by Brackie »

Daypack Contents

No personal effects will be provided for the island: anything belonging to a student that they were carrying when kidnapped has been confiscated, save clothes, accessories, and essentials along the lines of glasses or medication.

The daypacks provided in International are packed into simple tan backpacks, double-strap, 18” height by 12” width. The design provides a single central pouch and two side pouches large enough to hold typical water bottles. If a weapon is too large to be included within the backpack the student will wake with the weapon atop the pack. The backpacks are made of waterproof canvas. They are stamped with only the numerical designations unique to each student, besides this, there is no further decoration or customization.

The bag is loaded out with the following:

Assigned Rations -
3 x 2 liter bottles of water
3 bottles of an unbranded meal replacement drink (similar to Soylent, minus any adverse short-term health effects), vanilla flavour
2 MREs, each containing a pouch of chili and beans, a package of crackers, a pouch of cornbread, a pouch of instant hot chocolate, and a pocket-size plastic spork.
A single 1.5 oz pack of potato chips and a solo pack of candy, both specifically local to wherever the student was kidnapped from.

Map and Compass -
Detailed map of the International arena, with locations and the map scale being depicted solely in English. The compass is palm size.

Designated Weapon and Manual (if needed) -
The manual is only assigned for weapons sufficiently complicated that operation is not intuitive, for example, guns for the average untrained student. The manual provided is in the most commonly used official language of the assigned weapon’s country - regardless of the assigned student’s languages spoken.

Flashlight -
Only one setting of beam possible. Runs for 12 hours total. Battery operated, but no change of batteries has been provided.

First Aid Kit -
- A tightly-packed metal olive box, 6” x 6” x 3” in dimensions. Contains:
- Pocket mask
- Face shield
- Adhesive bandages, including knuckle bandages
- Sterile dressings, two gauze rolls
- Soap
- Antiseptic wipes
