Virtua Collars

The collars in Virtua are of somewhat unusual appearance - rather than the typical metallic band that you might be familiar with, they have the look and feel of leather, if perhaps a bit heavier than one would expect. They appear somewhat like dog collars, complete with buckles and straps (although it will quickly become apparent that these are locked into place). Rather than beeping when the contestant is in peril, the collar instead constricts their throat more and more tightly, eventually causing a pair of sealed blades either side of the neck to burst free and lethally slash the contestant's throat.
