Back Where We Started

A beautiful shore. An over turned canoe sits upon the white, sparkling sands. If the SOTF ACT wasn't going on, this shore might just be considered beautiful. But, because it's on this particular island, the shore's white sands seem to beg to be painted with red.

Back Where We Started

Keira didn't know how long they had been walking through the jungle. All she cared about was getting away from the bodies, away from all the death. The image of Preston getting gunned down was etched in her mind alongside the memories of Craig and Maria's bodies. She had seen more corpses in three days than any teenager should ever have to see.

She had certainly run the gamut of emotions during her time on the island. She was angry when she woke up on the first day, she was relaxed when she was chilling on the beach with Charlie and David, and she was mortified upon finding her former classmates dead on the jungle floor. The emotion she remembered most, however, was fear. Fear when she saw Preston hit the floor, riddled with bullets. Fear knowing that anyone could have just as easily done the same to her. Fear that drove her to flee the scene with Charlie.

They had been on the move for the better part of a day, moving around and avoiding any buildings they saw due to Danya's announcements. Keira had eaten through a tin of crackers and half a loaf of bread during the long walk. SHe was now down to two-and-a-half bottles of water as well. The food was horribly bland, but it kept her going, and that's all that mattered for now.

Keira made her way through the undergrowth and found a very familiar-looking place. A sandy beach with a clear view of the sea. They were back at the shoreline. They had somehow found their way back to where they had first met on the island. Everything looked similar to how it did last time. At last, something somewhat familiar in this hellish place. Keira couldn't help but crack a small smile as she called out to her partner.

"Hey Charlie, remember this place?"

The announcements rang out for the third time. The killers were announced, and Keira made a note of who the most dangerous players were.

Steinman's got four? Damn, I never would've pegged her as a psycho. And what the hell did Reeves do to Nicole? Or am I better off not knowing?

Danya then listed off the danger zones, which probably amounted to about half of the island. And the list included, of course, the Eastern Shore.

Wait a sec, the Eastern Shore? Then that means...

Keira's collar began to emit a now-familiar beeping noise.

Dammit.

Keira spun around on her heel and jogged away from the shore. "On second thought, let's go somewhere else."

That tears it. I'm never going to the beach again.
