Fame Has A Price

The Cabanas are located just off of the beach front, offering a breathtaking view of the ocean and facing the glorious sunset. Each rosewood Cabana is designed to bring the flavour of the Caribbean to you; with a plate glass sliding door, bamboo furniture, and dim mood lighting. The Cabanas vary in size depending on function: family cabanas feature two bedrooms and sleeping arrangements for four, while couples can enjoy our deluxe queen sized beds and cozier models.

((Riley Parker’s story continues from CAVE CAVE DEUS VIDET))

Riley slowed her pace as she exited the cabanas, her heart pounding.

Holy shit she needed to stop getting caught in shit like this. At this rate she’d be the next Nate Chauncey, always getting herself in nasty situations. That wasn’t how she wanted to be remembered. Not Riley Parker, not someone like her. She was too badass for that.

No, Riley was going to be the next star. She was gonna make it big, make it far, be huge. She was gonna win this game. Die trying? Hell yeah, if she had to. If she wasn’t the winner at least she’d make a huge impression. Next best thing to living was immortality through fame. Fuck, some people might think that was even better.

She could see it now; all the pictures of her, her best lines, her weapon of choice, it’d all be put on her name and make her a star. She was going to be a hit.

As Riley stood in the cold and snow of that winter night, she realized as her adrenaline died down and her brain refocused that there was wet leaking down her back. Hot wet. She whipped around but there was nothing.

Then the pain really set in and the weakness and she suddenly realized what was happening and oh god no.

Riley’s legs felt weak. She fell to her knees, gasping and sobbing because suddenly it didn’t just hurt oh lord it hurt make it stop. This can’t happen, not like this, not like this, she wasn’t going to die like this she was not that the no she was no she was she was she was

Dead. She was dead from the minute the game started. Had she ever had a chance? Not really. Not a showboat cocky little camera whore like her. As much as she’d have loved to claim otherwise, Riley was not cut out for SOTF.

So as the world spun and then stopped and Riley Parker died in the cold and snow of that winter night, the curtains fell on yet another waste of potential. Just another story closed too short.
