Day 2: Formerly PM for Entry. Now Open.

A large, old warehouse found between the mess hall and the parish. The corners are covered with cobwebs, and there are a few cracks in the floor showing its age. Mostly emptied of the ores it once held, the warehouse does still contain a table, chairs, assorted empty boxes, nets, and a number of corroded tools.

((Adonis Alba continued from Good Morning, You Idiot))

Adonis wandered the island while munching on a half-unwrapped energy bar. He didn’t like it. Kinda tasted like vaguely fruit-flavored cardboard, like these shitty protein bars that he tried once. Maybe they were made by the same company. Hell, he probably wouldn’t be that surprised. If their food is that crap, then they probably would be funded by terrorists. Assholes.

He was having pretty good luck so far today. Sure he was grading on a curve, since he was still stuck on murder island with an uncomfortable metal thing around his neck, so in the grand scheme of things he wasn’t really doing that great. But hey, at least no one tried to kill him yet today, so that made it better than yesterday by default.

Yeah, pretty shitty how that was the bar he had to measure his days by now.

He needed a break. Hell, he would accept pretty much anything that gave him some time to chill out for a while. He was pretty sure that he heard somewhere that stress wasn’t healthy, and he’d say that he was pretty fucking stressed at the moment. Yeah, he just needed to get out of the sun and have a little down time. Once he got a little of that, he could start trying to figure out how the hell he was supposed to get off the island.

He took another bite of his bar as he looked at the warehouse. It was pretty damn big, even bigger than a lot of houses in his neighborhood. There was a pretty messed-up looking body in the dirt nearby that he was trying not to look at, which was hard when it brought a pretty strong smell of blood with it. He held his nose with his free hand and kept his eyes on the warehouse door to keep his attention away from the corpse. He opened said door with his elbow and ran inside, taking a deep breath once he had passed the threshold.

Turns out that wasn’t the best idea, since the inside of the warehouse stunk like hell. The closest thing he could describe to the stench that pervaded the air was this one time where some meat in the back of the fridge went bad. This was somehow way worse than that, though. It was a lot more… rotten, he’d guess. Did this place used to be a meatpacking plant or something? Maybe it was, and the smell had just seeped into the foundation over the years or something. Whatever it was, it was fucking awful.

It wasn’t like there was much else to do, so he wandered around, keeping his guard up in case he ran into someone. Sure there wasn’t a whole lot he could do without a weapon, but he was still bigger and meaner than most of his classmates, so he figured that he could handle himself fine if he had to. But of course, that confidence only extended to living classmates, not dead ones. And when he rounded a corner in the warehouse, he encountered another of his dead classmates lying on the ground right in front of him, a big, wet hole in their chest and a letterman’s jacket over their face.

Adonis’ energy bar slipped from his hand and fell to the stained ground below, his mouth hanging open as though he were expecting another bite.

((Sarah Miller continued from Hi Kids! Do You Like Violence?))

Sarah was exhausted - she never had to run this hard.

Thanks, Venereal Disease, for making the place I was in a Death Zone.

One thing was clear. It wasn't just that crazy girl and Snake who were killing people, or trying to. People were already getting shot, stabbed, tarred (seriously, who was dumb enough to run into a tar pit?), and strangled.

Guugh. Run, hide, and get killed, or take the initiative and get killed? Jesus Christ, this place smells like shit.

She had just entered a huge warehouse of some sort, which appeared like it hadn't been cleaned ever.

Ugh, it was enough to make her want to go piss again - she'd just been able to hold it in when Snake shot at her. At least there was a bathroom here, so she could at least entertain the

Nope

Sarah walked out of the bathroom, eyes wide at the sight of a dead guy with his head in the shitter, wearing a plunger as a hat.

A hand emerged within the semi-darkness of the old warehouse, reached over and tapped Adonis on the shoulder.

"Aye."

Yep, that was totally a dead guy. A dead guy, staring right back at him. Well, not literally, since the jacket was over his face and all. But Adonis was pretty sure that if he lifted that jacket off of him, then he'd be looking right at him. He wasn't sure why he thought that. This was the first time he had ever stood next to a corpse, so he just assumed the creepiest possible option.

The situation was already unsettling enough, so the last thing that Adonis needed was someone sneaking up on him. So of course, that was exactly what happened. With a cry of "Wha-fuck!" He took the most logical option, which was to spin around and throw a punch at the first thing he saw.

Well, shit. He just clocked Kyran in the fucking face. Not to say he hadn't wanted to do that before. Hell, he wanted to do that just yesterday. But now it just seemed awkward.

"Oh fuck, Kyran?" He uttered, lowering his aching fist. He looked down and saw a bit of blood on his knuckles.

His stomach felt a little odd.

"Ya - damn it."

He had half a mind to swing the AK-47 and pummel the guy in the face too.

Alright. Alright. Whatever.

Maybe it was his fault this time for inadvertently sneaking up on the guy, but Adonis was still a jerk. How many times was he going to get whacked by this asshole?

First the fat lip and stitches at school. Then the monster sacking in the forest yesterday. Now this. After all the various injuries Kyran had received throughout his young life time, he was pretty sure this broken nose was a first. If it even was a broken nose, he couldn't really tell, except it was bleeding and hurt like hell.

At least there was one thing Alba did by cracking him in the center face like this. All his own blood sure did wonders in clogging up his air passage and sense of smell, because this place reeked. Kyran was thankful that all he did get was a bent nose on his pretty face, considering all the things he'd seen when he returned to this warehouse. Bodies, effin' everywhere, including one with a plunger on his face.

He wasn't sure whether they were all victims of Jay and Saachi, but considering the fact that nothing resembling Lyndi was here and that the blood stains were reasonably fresh, he realized these deaths had just happened not too long ago, and by someone else. According to the morning announcements Jay Harland was confirmed a killer, having killed Lyndi, even if he wasn't necessarily Saachi's Captain Ahab. But what are the chances it was a different red-haired killer with her right? What surprised him was that Saachi also known as the violent Chop Susie, who carved into his face, wasn't on it, but others were.

The thought still lingered. The first morning announcements.

He barely had any rest, waking up somewhere in the forest, after trying find his bag and failing, when it woke him early that day. His classmates were doing this. Kids he knew and that was bullshit. They knew each other too long, most of them anyway. Kyran had convinced himself for a little while the night prior.

Kyran had held the heart shaped pendant necklace in his hand, the one his mother gave him and told himself again and again. Despite seeing Richard's floating corpse, despite running into another dead body of what remained of a girl in the forest while looking for his stuff. Despite witnessing events that would tell him the contrary, this warehouse yesterday, Tina's attack, the bruise on Natali's leg, courtesy of Blaine. He told himself that it was just bad luck, that surely most of them weren't giving in.

They wouldn't do that. They couldn't. But they did. Fuck, they actually did.

It had left Kyran in a trance at the base of some tree, for some time until he decided to move and do something about this situation. The first thought had been the warehouse and if the dynamic deadly duo was still there, using the place as a trap. He planned to warn every person from the dangers. Though, the fact that the body of his classmate, Simon, was in clear view outside, made the likelihood of the place still occupied as a trap minimal at best.

Inside was worse than outside and he regretted going into the bathroom and seeing that bloodbath with a plunger eating its face earlier. Now though, it was back to the matter at hand, what with the probably broken nose or so.

"Okay shit," Kyran said through a muffled schnozz.

Seemed like the guy didn't mean it and looked sick to his stomach, so at least Adonis, the biggest douche this side of Orsmby, wasn't in on the so-called game either, from what he could tell. That was a refreshing surprise.

"Can you help me out?"

Kyran looked over, saw Alba's bag labeled with the number ten, much like his former pack with the number fourteen. In the back of his mind he tried to remember the numbers of everyone else he encountered, but could only remember Natali's off the top of his head when he patched that slice on his face yesterday. G12. He'd have to think of the rest later.

His head still stayed tilted back, draining whatever blood was there downward. He spat a little to the side. Wasn't like his blood would mess this place up anymore.

"Left my bag, where you floored me last time."

If he had gotten to him sooner yesterday, Kyran might have wanted to knock him out for that BS too.

Yeah, Adonis kind of felt like an ass for punching Kyran. But still, would it have killed the guy to at least give him some warning instead of just reaching out and grabbing him like that? He would have just come out and said that, but she fact that Kyran was carrying a freaking AK made him hold his tongue.

"Uh, yeah." He scratched his head, moving his cowlick even more out of place than usual. "Sorry about that and stuff."

His face contorted into a crinkled frown thanks to his inability to take a breath without getting a lungful of stinky corpse-y air. He wiggled his empty fingers, suddenly feeling very self-conscious about his lack of a weapon. He blamed this phenomenon on the presence of Kyran's big-ass gun. But as a trade-off, Kyran didn't have any supplies, while Adonis did. If that was the case, maybe they could strike up a deal.

"So... what do you need?"

What the heck do you think was needed right now, Adonis.

"First Aid Kit, would help."

Kyran couldn't quite finish the thought because he noticed a stray finger just lying there next to Adonis's foot. It didn't seem to belong to that covered body, also next to Adonis, because it had all its digits— oh dang.

He just recognized who that was thanks to the letterman jacket and the number. This building was non-stop madness. He lowered his head, blood, dripping from his nostrils, adding to the collection of blood already here. Ironic, since Kyran Dean was the first to have his blood spilt here in the first place, thanks to Chop Susie.

"Jeeze, that's Aaron."

Aaron Chalmers was the other wide-receiver on the football team. He liked the guy. Dude was a darn good player, former second-string wide-receiver who took Kyran's place on the team for a little while, after Kyran had gotten hit with a particularly hard tackle by the opposing team's corner-back, much like Adonis hit him yesterday.

Kyran had to sit out for a long time, because apparently the team's sport's physicians said he had a minor concussion and the doctors confirmed it, but Kyran felt he was fine. His dad said otherwise though, but Aaron had sure proved himself for those few months enough to be used probably more than Kyran did.

The announcements had mentioned it this morning, but the temporary trance he felt from hearing them in the first place had left him detached from most of it. Now he was here, looking at the bro's body, with a big gunshot wound, persons maltreated, disrespected in death, shirtless lying on the smooth floor.

He was going to miss this guy and seeing him like this made him feel sick to his stomach.

“...and that's a finger," Kyran continued, he looked at Adonis for a second.

"You don't even wanna know what's in the restroom."

Adonis carefully removed his first aid kit from his bag. Kyran just needed something to soak up the blood from his nose, right? Should be some gauze in there. After all, what kind of first aid kit didn't have gauze? He pulled out the closest thing to gauze that he could find, just in time for Kyran to recognize the corpse right behind him.

Holy shit, that is Aaron.

Being next to a dead body was bad enough, but when it was someone he actually knew, it was way worse. He could actually see Aaron now, all alive and shit, doing things the way he used to do. It was eerie, and he didn't like it. He looked away... only to find the finger that Kyran had just mentioned.

In his newly nauseous state, Adonis made a mental note to never eat those tiny hot dogs ever again.

He closed his eyes and turned to Kyran, offering the gauze-like substance to him and trying not to think about what was in the bathroom.

"What's in the bathroom?"

Well, shit.

Didn't Alba just hear Kyran tell him that he didn't wanna know what was there. Dude was pretty stupid, but dude was actually helping him out. Didn't expect that.

"Sure you wanna know?" Kyran questioned, while accepting the gauze or whatever it was from Adonis' kit. He rolled it up and stuffed it in his nostril, feeling like he had just shoved a miniature tampon right in there. He felt like a total doofus.

"The restroom is right down that way, see for yourself." Kyran wasn't going anywhere near that area. "I'll be right here, bud."

He crossed his arms and waited. He looked around, saw even more debris than just the boxes and shelf he knocked down. A broken, splintered chair, more shelves lying all over the place. What the heck else happened in here since he'd first woken here. This place was in total mayhem, a cesspool of decay. A massacre. He wanted out right away.

"Your call."

Adonis stared down the hallway, feeling much less sure that he wanted an answer to his question. Hell, what he had already seen was bad enough, so what could be so bad that Kyran couldn't even say what it was? He was already in danger of losing his lunch as it was, so he didn't feel like risking it.

"Actually, I was thinking about trying to get out of here." He said, changing the subject as quickly as possible. "Really bad scene, y'know?"

Yeah, Adonis wanted out, but there was still one small problem: He didn't have a weapon. And here Kyran was, toting his big, bad AK-47. Man, it sure would be nice to have something like that around, even just for a sense of security. It would probably mean having to stick with Kyran though, and he could name a whole slew of people he would rather hang around.

... But at the same time, it wasn't like he had much choice, so he might as well deal with the hand he was dealt.

"You thinkin' the same?"

"Yeah, this place reeks."

Even with the homemade tampon in his nose, he could still sense the stench. Kyran started to turn to the exit, but took one more look at his old team mate and fellow Wide-Receiver, Aaron Chalmers. All he could think was: Sorry man. Sorry this happened to you.

His nose wasn't quite right, but he could try to take care of that later. Away from this hell hole. To fresher, clearer air and a brighter day.

Then he remembered who was coming along. How the heck had he ended up with Adonis Alba.

"You got that right."

Adonis shoved his first aid kit back in his bag and wiggled it around to get in into a position where he could zip it back up. Once that was taken care of, he stood back up and turned back to look at Aaron's body, specifically the jacket covering his face. It had gotten pretty cold the previous night, and it would be nice if he had a little extra help staying warm if he needed it...

He shook his head and dismissed the notion. Yeah, Aaron was dead, but there was just something about taking the letterman's jacket off of him that seemed disrespectful, like he would be disturbing his memory or something. Plus, it would be gross to wear a jacket that was covered in someone else's blood. Probably unsanitary, too. Oh yeah, there was also that thing he thought of earlier about how Aaron's eyes would probably be staring at him...

He turned back to see Kyran leaving the warehouse, weapon in hand. Adonis hastily picked up his bag and ran after him.

"Hey! Wait up, asshole!"

((Adonis Alba continued elsewhere...))
