Shoulda Just Stayed In Bed, To Be Honest.

These cliffs, spanning the eastern edge of the island, form its highest point. The only nod towards safety from the jagged rocks below comes in the form of a high chain link fence, which has rusted and weakened over the years; this part of the island was rarely visited by the miners, as the crumbling cliffs held no valuable ores.

Shoulda Just Stayed In Bed, To Be Honest.

The day passed. Chris had moved from location to location, not really running into anyone during the night. As morning came, Chris found himself at the cliffs, staring out into the ocean.

He'd thought a lot about things since then. The announcements had revealed the identity of Brigid's killer: Bunny Barlowe. She'd killed previously, and Brigid wasn't the girl's only kill.

So, the plan now was to find Bunny and kill her, right? Just like how they did with Jasmine right?

Well, anyway, Chris had thought about a lot of things since then. Like... could he actually do it? He wanted to think he could. But of course, it's really easy to think that, were you in the same situation, it would be easy to play hero.

So, why was Chris not moving from his spot? His focus shifted to the chain-link fence in front of him. There was a particular section, right in front him that looked like it would fall apart if he so much as looked at it wrong.

Chris chuckled to himself, before stepping forward, toward the weak section of fence. Chris gripped the club with both hands, and swung it at the fence. He heard an audible crack. He did it again.

And again.

And again.

And again.

Until the entire section broke off and fell down to the rocks below.

Chris stepped forward again, until he was standing right against the edge.

The plan was to find Bunny and kill her. And then maybe find the other killers and do the same to them.

But Chris knew he couldn't do that. He wouldn't do it. Not because it was against his views or anything.

No, Chris just knew that he wasn't motivated to do it. Not like Brigid was.

Because in that time that Chris had been thinking.

Am I motivated enough to go after killers? Am I motivated to even kill one person?

Because at the end of the day, that's what it was all about. Even if he somehow made it to the end, he'd have to kill someone to go home. Otherwise, why even bother?

He'd spent the rest of the day thinking about those questions. Could he do it?

And even though there was still some doubt in his mind, he was like, 90% sure he had an answer to his question.

"Nah."

Chris leaned forward.
