D&D Mafia Game Thread

The town of Redglade, situated in the wilds of the Dragonsky Frontier, is a town on route from the kingdom capital to the eastern sea, and is most well known for the magical flora and fauna that grows around it. Many adventurers pass through this town, for reasons as varied as adventurers themselves. Despite the chaos that implies, the town has been relatively safe for most of its time.

However, something's changed now - townsfolk going missing and turning up dead, patches of the fields outside town have shriveled up and wilted, and the patrons of the tavern whisper rumors about the dark force behind it all - the shadow cult.

On this day, twelve adventurers meet to discuss and investigate, a mix of concerned locals, members of the adventuring guild in the city to the northwest... and the members of the shadow cult itself.

Hello players, I'm your dungeon master, Blizzard.

You know the game. There will be a day phase that will start once all Role PMs are confirmed, by posting in the thread. The day phase will last for about a week to begin, you can vote, there might be lunch if we reach majority, yadda yadda, then we go to night phase, which is where the fun stuff happens since this is a power-role heavy game, and then after a few days of night phase we go back to day phase! And rinse and repeat until either the mafia wins or the town wins.

Now, for some more rules stolen from MK and Deamon:

1. Vote in red, unvote in green, like so: Vote: Blizzard, Unvote: Blizzard. You can also use yellow to point a finger of suspicion, like so: FoS: Blizzard.

2. You can also use yellow to direct a question at me, the DM, which will be answered publicly, in pink. Why? I like pink that's why. You can also message me privately with a question, either on discord, or with the site's PMs, which I will answer privately.

3. I will not answer questions about other player's roles.

4. If you die, you get a free "bah" post. Bask in the roleplay opportunity! No metagaming! (so don't put suspicions on people or reads or reveal someone's role if you're mafia etc etc).

5. Also don't quote role PMs. You can paraphrase though.

6. No outside discussion of the game while the game is ongoing.

7. Don't use invisitext or encrypting, stuff like that. Also don't edit your posts after you've posted them, though I think editing will be disabled shortly, or already is, so.

8. Don't be a dick. If you've already been warned about being a dick and continue to be a dick, I will sic Tiamat on you.

9. Right now, there is no inactivity smiting or activity enforcement or such.

10. The rules are subject to change by DM Fiat. If that happens, I'll notify you in the thread.

11. Relax guys the Shadow Cult is just a flavour name for the scumteam and doesn't have recruitment abilities, I'm not THAT evil.

for reasons some of yall know about i am probably not going to be much of a presence here for a while and i apologize for that in advance but i didnt want to delay the game further by dropping out. i'll be around but probably not very active. kinda warning ahead of time because i normally talk a lot and i dont want yall to ding me for acting out of character when im dealing with a personal crisis lmao
