Lmao it's literally the last secret songtest post with minimal edits I'm still essential workforce so I'm essentially dead 24/7 pls no bully


Here's how this is gonna work: Sign-ups will run as usual. At the end of sign-ups, everyone will be given the name of another entrant. If we have an odd number of entrants, RNGsus will give me someone to get two secret santas as the gods intended.We'll have another 3 day period where everyone's mission will be to find a song for their person; this will end early if all submissions come in before the clock is up. After that everything will be divided into rounds as usual, with the name of the song, it's performer(s), and who it was picked for noted in each round.

Unlike previous song contests, if you want sign up just post in the thread or PM me. Do not send me a song until I've sent you someone's name.

Songs will be scored the normal way as detailed in the spoiler below, with one additional rule: if you like the song that was chosen for you, you may endorse it. If you endorse it, it receive extra points equal to its highest ranking.

Y'know what submit Eurovision songs or talent show covers or whatever if that really be where your heart's at I dunno why we ever cared about that anyway

Please don't use anything we've used in a prior songtest (Master Songtest Sheet here).

Songs will be randomly divided into 2 or 3 semifinals depending on turnout. if you're going to be away at some point in the next couple of weeks, let me know and I can try to put your song in a round when you'll be here.

Listen to every song and give points to your top 10 favorites: 12 to your favorite, 10 to your second, 8 to your third, 7 to your fourth, and so on down to 1 point for your tenth favorite.

If your song is in a given round, you must vote that round or you'll be eliminated. if your song isn't in that round (or you aren't in the contest at all), your vote will be counted as a public vote, which counts for half points. If you're doing a public vote in chat, tag me in Discord so that I can find them.

Public votes will all count as half-votes.

The top songs will move on to the final; the number of top songs depends on the number of contestants. Repeat the process for the finals and we get a winner.

The winner gets to hold the next contest, or they can pass the job along to 2nd place if they don't want to. 2nd place can pass down to third, etc, until someone wants to host.

If you know at the start of your semifinal that you wont be available to vote within the time available, let me know and I can move you to another semifinal, if we aren't on the final one already.

I did this Endorsement clause in the past and it worked pretty well so I'm doing it again; if you get assigned me, in order to earn my endorsement, you must submit something I haven't heard. For the purposes of this songtest, what I've "heard" is limited to songs from music albums and EPs and whatever that I've rated on the website RateYourMusic prior to when you recieve me as a gift recipient.
