THIS SET UP WAS FINE AND MADE PERFECT SENSE I THOUGHT YOU WERE TRYING TO GET YOURSELF KILLED WITH THAT LOGIC
hhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh jace and irina were confirmed town as soon as jace claimed
this is a game where doc cop roleblocker and back up doc are the only town power roles while there is a jester a miller and a PGO for neutral rolls and mafia have a bullet proof that if used correctly meeans they never have to worry about the PGO while the doc and the roleblocker die instantly if they hit it
back up doc makes no sense as a scum claim; the balance breaking of using back-up rolls as fake claims is way worse than town having two protective roles when follow the cop breeaks the second there is a godfather in play, as this game demonstrates v clearly XD while if you start using back-up roles as scum fake claims you tell scum for certain that a certain power role exists OR you doom them to be outed when no one claims the role they're backing up for, both of which would be awful design decisions
meanwhile all town power roles can hit the PGO and die, and presumably can keep doing that unless the PGO outs themself, it's not super skewed one way or the other but there are more than enough balancing options to justify a back-up doc
and on top of that irina claimed back-up doc before jace claimed doc; that would be a very bold scum move if you weren't given it as a fake claim, you can't prove your role when the doctor dies so why would you claim back-up doctor instead of something like back-up cop?

i have spent so much time screaming in dead chat glad i can do it for real @ my datefriends for their sins now

thinking about it zetsu should've claimed jester during the mass claim, it would've helped for us to rule someone out of the trifecta of me/zetsu/irina and perhaps be able to lynch boogie at the end there

Just posting to say what Paige said just now. I didn't realize Zetsu had basically given up so claiming jester could have really helped at the end.

I'unno. In my opinion, Irina was *very* scummy all game so I get the suspicions, I was sitting there like 'I'm running this game, I know she's town, and I STILL have her as a 90% lock for scum', but come the backup doc claim I was like... okay, town's got this on lock. Another critique is that the final day phase ended WAY too soon, like you didn't let anybody really make a case before diving right in because you were so sure.

i mean i hadnt 100% thrown in the towel, i was sorta hoping that y'all would lynch me over yugi for the 50/50, but like not with much conviction

i maintain that a godfather, miller, and PGO doesn't balance out a nigh-unkillable, unblockable cop. Miller and PGO barely count as checks imo since both can claim day 1 and then they will no longer mess up follow the cop. honestly i was proceeding under the assumption that scum had flavor claims but no roleclaims, given that decoy claimed vanilla townie, so knowing that scum did have roleclaims does do a lot to balance things out, i guess, so, like, okay. still feels townsided to me, but i'm less annoyed, knowing that now.

boogie had town dancing to his tune pretty much the whole game, so scum victory was well deserved. kudos to fen for keeping town in the game.
